  1. OK, "played with fire," it's still a ridiculous argument and funny how you entirely ignore the details, besides his TD and totals, on Diggs. See my response to finn a few posts above. Whatever. Your Davis hate precedes you. There's no one outside of Bills' circles that devalue Davis the way that some here do. Dude's heavily responsible for at least 14 of our points scored, but he sucks. Yeah yeah, we all get it. He's on pace for 1,100 & 17 TDs, but he sucks. Right! Got it!
  2. And BTW, we had 2 TOs on passes to Diggs. One was the all but game-ending fumble. The other was the Punt-TD. Almost all of his passes were on 1st-Down. He only had one 3rd-Down conversion, and that was on the drive that Davis scored on and also bailed us out of on a 1st-and-20 on the same drive. So it's quite debatable that Davis made more of an impact. Either way, both showed up. Suggesting otherwise is disingenuous. LMAO That's ridiculous. Look, I get that everyone likes Davis as a whipping boy, but at least set your biases aside when you evaluate him. See my two posts to Alphadawg7 on the next page. I can't believe that anyone would argue that Davis wasn't playing "with fire" as he put it. Diggs' two plays which ended in TOs were far more costly than anything that Davis did today.
  3. Davis caught the 3rd-Down pass that led to our 1st-and-10 at the Jags' 15 and setting up the next TD. He also caught a 24-Yard pass on 1st-and-20 from our own 15 that kept that drive alive, he's the one that scored the TD on B2B plays on which Diggs was called for PI. Regardless of the call, he caught it again, twice in a row, for the same TD. He also caught the 29-Yard pass that set us up at the Jags' 3 after which Allen ran it in. He had two of our four longest plays and three of our six longest plays, all three of which either contributed directly to scoring TDs or a TD itself. So yes, to suggest that he didn't show up is dishonest. Spin it as you may. I'll take that performance from him every week. On a side note, Allen has 11 passing TDs so far this season. 9 of them have been to Diggs/Davis. (5/4) Davis is on pace for just under 1,100 yards and 17 TDs. Not saying he'll get that, but 1,000/10+ is beyond reasonable.
  4. Never. They said during the broadcast that they were expanding them.
  5. It may feel that way to you, but it's dishonest crediting Diggs with showing up but not Davis. Their contributions were nearly identical except the Davis didn't commit a key TO. Man, the Davis hate/bias is strong here.
  6. In all fairness the Jags played a good game too. They're not the Raiders, Skins, or Jets and Lawrence is among the better QBs as well. Miami played a decent game last week too, the difference between us and them? They committed 2 costly TOs, we had none. The Jags are a good team.
  7. So far the only games we've won, we've had a 2+ TO margin. FWIW
  8. The problem is that there's so much reporting on sports these days in the 24-hour news cycles that it's gotten to the point where most of it is just blather and opinions. They've gotta fill the air time with something. I can't remember when I last listened to or viewed sports program of any kind. Easily over a decade. Much more fun here, on several planes.
  9. No, but my daughter is considering going to MSU. We're heading down to visit in a bunch of weeks. I had scouting the best wings place in starkville on my list of to-do's. LOL I hear ya on the lack of desire for snow though. Like many, I live in the mid-Atlantic area.
  10. Where in MS? You looking it?
  11. Yeah, it's not optimal to be sure. I haven't even looked at the line-up in years, but for the first few years they actually had a lot of local places, but as time went on it seemed as if they had all the national chains and the like. I remember one year Wing Zone sponsored the event, which I thought was weird. I think that the last time that I went, before it moved to Highmark, they had vendors that weren't even selling Wings there, some not even selling food. Most of the wings were soggy. It wasn't very fun. Again, I haven't even wasted my time over the past decade or more, just curious where it is now.
  12. Yep, mentioned him. Or Donald. Think of the possibilities.
  13. Completely agree. I never understood Watkins over Evans.
  14. Just think, we could have drafted him instead of Sammy Watkins. Just sayin'. Then again, we could have drafted Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald instead of Watkins too.
  15. LOL I'm tellin' ya.
  16. No excuses then! At four games we were 134 & 44 in '21. FWIW Is the difference that much for one point less scored.
  17. You're reading waaaaay too much into this. Who knows, maybe we'll average 150 yards against the rest of the season, I have no idea. All I was saying that it's not as obvious to me yet that this D is better yet. Particularly since we haven't even really played a good offensive team besides Miami, and becuase of a few errors on their part they only put up 20 on nearly 400 yards of offense. Relax a little. It was just a reason for caution, that's all. I mean seriously, as if what, this would be the first season that we've started hot like this but then cooled off or something, in point or yardage? I mean it's only been the pattern now for two seasons and possibly this one. If you don't want to be cautious, great, don't. I don't care. LOL I really don't. At least allow me to be if you dont' mind. 🙄 ... BTW, I just looked, in '21 we gave up only 44 in our first four games, 64 in our first five, which gives us a buffer of only 9 points for this next game in comparison. So using that we're 11 back, AND over 300 yards compared to '21. Both seasons combined, the early games anyway, I'm personally far from convinced that the D is better yet after having played Garropalo, Wilson, and Howell.
  18. 55 v. 58? Really? To put it in the same context, that's 3/4 point per game, or 13 points per season. The difference between the first ranked scoring D and the last ranked scoring D last season was 186 points, or about 11 PPG. Somehow I'd take a stab that if by season's end we'll have allowed 13 more points but 1,800 more yards than last season, that there won't be a whole lot of people talking about how much better McD's D is. Anyway, way to leapfrog the point entirely. But you can be right. I'm fine with it. LOL
  19. So in the comparison, you're saying that was the case this season, but not last season then? That make sense to your?
  20. Maybe the chocolates on their pillows were tainted.
  21. He's also got years of incredibly mediocre defensive team performance as well. The Jets game was hardly garbage stats, and to your point, I cited a comp between this and last season, the same could be said for last season. Feel free to try to explain that away, but again, it's early, we'll see. Remember last season, after five or six games everyone had us going to and winning the Super Bowl.
  22. LOL, hey, mistakes happen. People acting like they never make 'em is worse.
  23. I'm tellin' ya! FINALLY some chemistry!!! Offense is going to set records this season.
