Mularkey on ESPN radio now

They went offense to help the defense. Need to convert those 3rd downs. That's about all I got, that and he slammed ABBA when he first went on. Bastard!! -
Clayton Rips Into TD...Again
Gavin in Va Beach replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Translation: "I wrote that the Henry to Arizona deal was done about 3 different times and now Donahoe has made me look like the idiot I am. He's a greedy loser! Na na na na na na." Clayton = RJ's geeky older brother whose Mom wouldn't let him play with the other boys because he has asthma -

You can view TD as greedy only if you think he viewed dishing TH as a priority and got left holding his schlong. TD was probably more of the mindset of 'If you want him impress me, if not I'll keep him...no biggie." A backup RB who costs very little and MUST play hard everytime he touches the ball to impress potential suitors? Sign me up. Holding out would severely diminish his chances at a big pay day next year...so tell me again why TD is greedy in not dealing him away for not much? -

Who All is still Drinking the TD Koolaid?
Gavin in Va Beach replied to DeeRay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The solid offensive line is needed when you have a statue behind the center who likes to pat the ball for 5 seconds before throwing. When your QB is a little more mobile you've got some offensive line flexibility. -
Is Donahoe gone after this year?
Gavin in Va Beach replied to VABills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being Butlered? In good cap-shape, adding weapons to an offense that was the weak spot last year, and TD is tanking the draft? I thought you said you never did drugs before, could have fooled me... -
Call me crazy, but when they were showing his highlights yesterday, I thought he looked a little like Andre Reed in his prime. Ran good routes and could makes moves and run away from defenders after catching the ball.

Well it isn't exactly out of thin air, Bannan DID takes snaps as a guard and Peters as a tackle during a few games last year. They've had all offseason, and will have the upcoming minicamps and training camp to cement their status. And of course Bill, you realize McNally can walk on water now, so Peters and Bannan are all but guaranteed to the Pro-Bowl...

Also factor in that the JP Losman deal saved capspace vs having the 1st rd pick this year and a 2nd last year. Saving a million here and a million there, pretty soon you're talking real money...

Looking at BB.com again, it looks like Bannan has made the transition to offensive guard. Perhaps another reason TD didn't feel the need to draft oline early. I don't know if changing the position on the website sets it in stone, but they could be trying to tell us something... Bannan now listed as a guard

Well keep believing in your 'Power of Positive Thinking" and maybe it'll happen... I swear Joe, bitching about the team seems to give you and a few other mullets joy. I'll never understand that. BTW, how are your Yankees doing ? -
Nugent and a few #3's with potential? Yes.

Wow. It feels so good to be right you feel the need to come and gloat that TD couldn't swing a top deal for Henry. Silly me, I thought all us fans were hoping for the best deal possible because it would help the BUFFALO BILLS. I hope you don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. Way I was raised some guy who would gloat about being right instead of hoping for the best in regards to his team is called an ****, but maybe it's different where you're from. That goes for the other schmuck that likes to *snicker* too... -
Fuggin A' JP! And some people are bitchin' cuz our new QB has a set of stones ...

Top Ten Draft Busts

Donovan's escapability would have helped, the Eagle's line wasn't exactly great guns his first couple of years. -
Or has such great dialogue and character names! John Grizzly: When I get to the table, that person, I don't care who they are, they're my mortal enemy. I hate them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harry Bosco: My whole body is an engine. This is a fireplug [makes a fist] Harry Bosco: ... and I'm gonna light him up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lincoln Hawk: Tell you the truth, the truck is, uh, you know, the most important thing for me. I... I don't really... it doesn't matter if I, uh, become the champion or anything. That's, that's not the most important... I... I need this truck. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob 'Bull' Hurley: I drive truck, break arms, and arm wrestle. It's what I love to do, it's what I do best. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob 'Bull' Hurley: Being number one is everything. There is no second place. Second sucks.

RTFA! 6. Tim Couch, first overall pick, 1999 The first three picks in the NFL draft were quarterbacks. The new Cleveland Browns wanted a quarterback to last a long time. Couch broke down just when his warranty expired. The Eagles had the second pick in the draft, and made an unpopular choice for their fans. They selected Donovan McNabb over running back Ricky Williams. The selections of Couch and McNabb are the primary reasons for Cleveland's lack of success — and Philadelphia's winning ways. -

Good call. That was a horrible pick, and a reminder to every team to beware a player that 'the draft experts' overhype causing him to rise up the charts...
