  1. Harris Teeter usually honors the half price for one as well, and even states '1 item rings at half price at the register' in the ad. Every once in a while it will say 'must buy two to get the discount'.
  2. If these big financial firm behemoths can be brought low because of "rumor", then maybe we should regulate the schit out of them. These firms are handling Mom and Dads retirement money and you say because Trader Bob gets spooked and says "Watch out" that Mom and Dads money goes 'poof'? Give me a break. These firms shouldn't be defended, they should be torn down and rebuilt into something more solid that isn't so easily upset by the winds of gossip or Congressman writing letters. I'm just an average schmuck on the street who readily admits I don't have 1/10 of the high finance knowlege that you do, but I don't think years of analysis is needed for my nose to be able to smell the stink that has been rolling in off of Wall Street lately. Hell, my nose was starting to smell the stink years ago when high dollar mortgages were being given to any fool with a pulse even though Greenspan and Co were telling us that the smell was rose petals. Those brillaint money guys are running our financial system and they really thought housing prices would go up forever? Madness. The whole system had descended into madness. I'm not saying you're wrong and Mr Drane is right, or vice versa, but the truth is most likely somewhere in the middle and instead of this pissing contest how's about some common sense analysis of "where do we go from here"?
  3. There will be rioting in the streets
  4. Excuse me if this is a totally stupid question, but how do you snap up the silver? Is this buying shares in silver someone else holds for you, or are you cruising pawn shops and buying items made of silver? Just curious.
  5. Interesting read- http://www.yoest.com/2008/05/20/intelligen...-herbert-meyer/
  6. Like take him to the prom?
  7. I like the way you think and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
  8. Not kidding. See, some of us actually have real children, and I owe it to them not to go deeper in debt than absolutely necessary. Maybe $1500-3000 isn't that much to you, but in my current situation it would put a decent dent in the household finances. I have a dog and I love him and he is definitely part of the family, but my emotions don't pay the rent. Dogs are pretty cheap at the pound.
  9. What is Quantum Physics? Quantum physics is a branch of science that deals with discrete, indivisible units of energy called quanta as described by the Quantum Theory. There are five main ideas represented in Quantum Theory: Energy is not continuous, but comes in small but discrete units. 1 The elementary particles behave both like particles and like waves. 2 The movement of these particles is inherently random. 3 It is physically impossible to know both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time. The more precisely one is known, the less precise the measurement of the other is.4 The atomic world is nothing like the world we live in. 5 While at a glance this may seem like just another strange theory, it contains many clues as to the fundamental nature of the universe and is more important then even relativity in the grand scheme of things (if any one thing at that level could be said to be more important then anything else). Furthermore, it describes the nature of the universe as being much different then the world we see. As Niels Bohr said, "Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it."
  10. $1500-$3000? Holy crap. How much is the shot for the 'big sleep'?
  11. Indeed. When a body has cancer, you don't remove the cancer cells and keep them locked up for a few years, try to rehabilitate them, and then return them to the body and hope for the best. You kill the cancer cells. When a society has cancer...
  12. Saw this story the other day and after reading though some of the Obama/McCain tax plan thread I thought a certain poster from that thread might benefit from reading this, although personally I kinda doubt it. Actually it's good reading for anyone and may make one reflect on how far our government has strayed from Consititutional principles. A quick look at Snopes and a GG search didn't turn up anything saying that this didn't happen... "Not Yours To Give"-The Story of Colonel David "Davey" Crockett and Horatio Bunce Some highlights-
  13. Sounds like it's time to start stocking up on canned goods, water, and ammo...
  14. That seriously sucks. RIP Tim.
  15. You've got to be kidding me. Besides, the smart move is a white male selection for veep. Asking the general public to vote for the first black president and if something should happen to him the backup plan would be the first female president might not be the smartest move political strategy-wise. It's not a racial or sexist thing, it's a playing to win thing. /Will probably vote libertarian or not vote at all. The choices in this election blow...
  16. "Haven't you been listening John? I always have a plan."
  17. I'm watched a recent show of them with my wife. Actually that family is incredibily squared away, the kids seem very happy and well adjusted, and the parents seem very caring and attempt to give all the kids attention and guidance. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they seem much more "functional" vs. "disfunctional" compared to some families with just 1 or 2 kids that I've seen.
  18. It's Grimace from McDonalds!
  19. Is this list meant to be current, or when the chicks were in their prime? Because seriously, Britney Spears at 31!?! WTF?
  20. Those are some impotent people all right. HBD bastards!
