  1. It is a business, as are the Bills. There are many ways to run a business, however. Some people run their businesses by putting value on their "people" and take care of them with good wages and nice perks, fostering loyalty and happy workers. Usually this style is the hallmark of a well run business that does well. People line up thousands deep trying to work at that company. Another way is to count every penny, pay less than the average wage, and jettison workers/cut corners to jiggle the bottom line a little. This style is usually the hallmark of a company that has lost it's way and is on the way down. Those who can't find work anywhere else reluctantly apply to work at this company. Which one sounds like the way Ralph has been running the Bills for years? Pay Fred Jackson. It's not because 'the fans happen to like him', but because he's way outperforming his wage scale. People in 'business' get performance raises/bonuses all the time.
  2. A real man would never have planned his wedding for a Sunday afternoon during football season. Looks like he's already lost his balls to the soon-to-be wife and you won't be seeing him much after the wedding anyway, so just stay home and watch the game. Tell him his marriage has a 50-50 chance of making it but the Bills are forever. If he's a real friend, he'll understand.
  3. *Sigh* One of these times I'll make it back there. Think the boy might be old enough now...hmmmm....
  4. Sounds like Nelson might share the slot with Spiller at times. Whatever it takes to keep teams guessing, especially the freakin Pats
  5. Called today and said 'cancel' at the prompt, got a rep and gave the 'it's not fair you're giving free ticket to new customers and not to loyal customers' speech. She tried to make me happy with a $15 off a month for 12 months. Said still not happy. She said 'oh, looks like you are also eligible for a $12 off a month for 12 months credit too'. Said nope, not fair new customers get the ticket and I don't, what do I have to do to cancel. She told me I drove a hard bargain, but her manager said for loyal customers, like myself, she could go ahead and give me the Sunday Ticket for free. I said you'll also be giving me the previously mentioned credits too, right? She said yep. Free Sunday Ticket. $27 off the bill for the next 12 months.
  6. Any list of bad beers that doesn't include Naragansett or Olympia in the top 5 is crap.
  7. The real myth is that there is still a professional football team in Buffalo. They wouldn't make the AP Top 25 for college right now.
  8. Except when the defense starts to expect and play to them, so that even if the RB is hit in stride he gets tackled immediately.
  9. Sanchez is in year 2 of his career. Edwards is in year 4. Seniority has it's privileges. Edwards remains Captain Checkdown.
  10. Funny you bring up Sanchez. He was getting ripped on Mike and Mike this morning for....wait for it...checking down too much and not taking chances down the field.
  11. Profits are going to be dwindling if they keep foisting these boring bastards on us. Looked like there were a lot of fans dressed as empty seats after halftime this past Sunday. Going to be more and more of them if they keep starting Capt. Checkdown to lead a boring offense.
  12. Yikes. Time to bust this out again...
  13. Not only no, but hell no. Scientists study her pap smears searching for new forms of life.
  14. Yeah, we're pretty much screwed.
  15. This. No one fears that the Bills will go down the field with Capt. Checkdown.
  16. South America, or some little tropical isle where money goes a lot farther. I want to watch the collapse of America from afar...
  17. Wow, change usually makes you...well...you know
  18. He's not bad, in fact he's pretty good, but he was overpaid. Dollars given to him over his value are dollars that can't be used to strengthen another area of the team. I think that's what most fans had issues with... If he is signed by another team it will be interesting to see for how much.
  19. Glad to see that Ye Old Giant People's Retirement Home finally got internet access! Good to see you Mr. Lamb!
  20. Hey it was nothing personal, I had too much beer and mexican food that day...
  21. Ahhh JC I like very much, but he no help with the curve ball. Or the Bills for that matter.
