Those couple of big plays aside, what really humbled our D was the quick slant. Winston was hitting those at will. I think our guys forgot how to defend against the slant. Hopefully they are doing some refresher training on it this week.

Nice write-up, that's how I saw it too. EJ looked really sharp last week. I always liked EJ and thought he handled himself with class during his time here. Few rookie QBs are ready to start right away and EJ wasn't either, but who knows what could have been if he'd been able to develop. People forget Aaron Rodgers sat behind Favre for 3 years before he became a starter. Would we be calling him one of the best current QBs had he needed to start right away (not to mention took a serious injury in his first season)? I wish him well in Oakland, as long as he loses when he plays Buffalo.

I could be persuaded to pay a little extra for a gonad tickler in my seat.

You could argue a smart call would have been to punt and try to pin them deep. 50+ yd field goals are not gimmies, even if your kicker is Steve "Money Man" Hauschka. He misses that and Atlanta has the ball with great field position. I thought it was very ballsy.

I could give a **** about what she said. I didn't watch her before and I won't watch her now. It's the double standard by ESPN/Disney that frosts me. They've fired/suspended other people who said much less worse things than this. The ratings for SC6 I understand continue downward but since ESPN uses that show as a sort of virtue signaling they are safe.

I'm hopeful Dareus is going to come around. He had an opportunity to throw a fit after being sent home from Philly but reports are he spoke with McDermott and Frazier and was contrite and taking responsibility. He has the potential to be a Wall of Fame player in Buffalo, if not a Hall of Famer, and I hope he knows that too.
