Man, this is going to be a nail-biting week. Having Douglas, Dodson, and Johnson back would be fantastic. If they're the only three we get back, that still really helps.
Would really like to see Benford and Rapp back as well, if possible—anything to keep Lewis and Elam on the sidelines as much as possible. I doubt we'll see Bernard, but man that would be great if he could go.
Worst part about 2 less days' rest than KC, seems like with an extra day or two a lot of these guys could be back

What is this, a sideline for ants?!?
How do you expect Tua to learn how to throw if he can't even fit on the sideline?

What’s the alternative? They have to sign him.
Baker? Cousins?

Von looked faster off the line, so hopefully he'll play a big role next week
Get him on some toradol, roids, HGH, whatever it takes this week IDGAF

It's not a*terrible* idea. Bates is a quality player that knows the system well and would be a fresh body after a grueling season. Edwards too

I know there will be no hiding it from them but in a different world where you could control it do you tell them the outcome? Do you let them know they're guaranteed to make the playoffs? Do you not tell them to make them feel the pressure? Maybe if they know they play more loose?

Seems every time he plays Buffalo he has impact plays.
I’m sure McD knows this, but keep an eye out for him.

Intersted to see how draft process plays out Brian Thomas jr. is a beast, would probably take hime over the two Longhorns.
But will be a lot of moving and shaking before April.

Remember last year when the Bengals were starting second string guards vs the Bills and the entire oline was banged up? Dont put too much stock into injury reports. Even the backups are NFL players.
Agree, but no DaQuan tho. Helps to have your stud disruptor to take advantage! So glad he's back

This makes it all the more frustrating that until Kincaid we hadn't drafted a single pass catcher on day one or two under this regime. The first pass catcher with high level traits that we've drafted and he immediately breaks a franchise record.
Please Brandon, keep drafting pass catchers early. Unless they're a complete bust they will immediately produce with Josh Allen throwing them the ball.
Zay Jones 2017 and for a split second, one shining moment, I thought we had traded up for DK Metcalf instead of Cody Ford until the card was read aloud. In my alternate mindscape that's still what happened

Josh didn't even make it as an alternate for the probowl. MVP talk has been ridiculous for a while now. His stats have overrated his overall play this season imo. Too many close games lost where he just didn't have it for long stretches.
Pretty sure he's first alternate along with Diggs?

I love this highlight reel because it shows you everything. Natural hands catcher, fluid and runs the full route tree.
6'3" 190lbs 4.3 speed
Reminds me of Chad Johnson. Hopefully he's there at #32 😉
If we're organically picking at #32 they could take the next coming of Cody Ford or Boogie Basham in round one for the next decade straight IDGAF

Sign Tua to a contract that is easy to get out of and draft Penix and let him develop.
Don't give them any good ideas!

Yea I don't think he will be active but call it the cautious, conservative coach in me I worry a bit if Jonathan is there in big spots. Was noticeable in the New England game that in the bigger spots late Shaq was out there even in pass rush situations. I am not sure that is ideal and suggests they don't fully trust Jonathan.
It is explained multiple places. They save $6.79m against the 2024 cap by cutting Von with a post 1 June designation. It would be $17m dead cap in 2024 and $15m dead cap in 2025. But it does create cap space next year.
And a post June 1 *trade* saves $17mil on 2024 cap... hmmm... any cap rich team dumb enough to take that on for a late round pick swap (we send the better pick)? Carolina?

Did somebody say “worthy”? 😉
My current (early) mentality about the draft is I would love to see the Bills finally upgrade Gabe Davis’ spot on the team, as his contract will be up…I’m looking for a guy who can not only turn on the after burner, but has the juke route running of Diggs, and great hands to go along with it…weapons, weapons, weapons…👍
Maybe a 2nd round DT, 3rd round safety? Who knows…
https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Xavier-Worthy-WR-Texas
Does this guy really run in the 4.2s?? Would bring us back some of the John Brown/Emmanuel Sanders field stretching. Looks like he has some quality sauce on punt returns too, could add that plus the bring back the jet sweep element to the offense. Only 20 years old too, that bodes really well for receivers.
Why does he seem to be late first sometimes early second in most mocks? Hands issues? Limited route tree? Or just his slighter frame in a class stacked with height/weight/speed freaks?

WR 1B plus another depth WR (or two) in the draft

I’d draft top route runner in round 1 (eventual Diggs replacement) and physical specimen in Rd. 2 (big/fast). Not sure who these guys are though 🤷♂️
My guy Malik Nabers gives you a lot from both buckets, might as well trade up if he's falling, wouldn't mind sending next year's day 1 or day 2 pick along with several this year if needed

Can another team sign him to their active roster still? Or can we promote him to the active roster every week from here on out without having to use a 53 spot on him, essentially protecting him?

Browns spend all this money on Watson only to have old man Flacco come in and dominate. THis may sound off but if the Bills make the playoffs the Browns are the last team I'd want to play. That defense is something
Really wish Schwartz was our DCoordinator again. That was my favorite Bills' defense ever, always said if we had an average QB on the other side we would have been legit SB contenders. Looks like the Browns have figured that out...

My dream is that the fins lose to both Dallas and Baltimore. Then the Bills can sit out key players in the final week.
We lose the division and likely don't get the wild card if we do that. Need to beat Dolphins regardless

I desperately wanted DK Metcalf and when Beane traded up I thought he went and got him. Alas, it was Cody Ford instead. Thought Hakeem Butler (6'5" 227 4.48) would have been a good consolation prize on day 3. Yikes!

Hmmmm.... that gets me thinking, how many void years can we add on a restructure to mitigate the cap hit from releasing or trading??
