And the Bills would’ve had the option to cut someone to make room for him on the active roster. If they’re fine with letting him go after working closely with him for all these months, maybe it’s not a loss at all. Could’ve cut someone like Mike White to make room for him.

Yeah, Mike White using a roster spot, yeeeeesh

I hope you're right that Cooper sticks around with a team-friendly deal.  It could happen.  Keep in mind that he and his family arrived in Buffalo at the absolute worst time, weather-wise.  Cold and wet, cold and snowy, gray skies.  Natives shrug that off but newcomers see only that, and at some point if not already it's going to get to him and his family.  The gorgeous Buffalo summers are just a rumor to them.

I hope those concerns don't influence his decisions.

Good point. Coming from Cleveland they'd clearly have unreasonable weather expectations.

It would be so Billsy to earn the two-seed, only to see the lineup of

    Bengals - Ravens- Chiefs

sitting before them in order to get to the Super Bowl.

Just like its extremely Billsy that the team started getting the two-seed darn near every year the season AFTER they took away the bye week.

Seriously. The 3 best non-JA QBs - not just in the conference but the entire NFL - in a row just to GET to the super bowl is hardly a reward for getting the #2 seed and posting the 2nd highest point differential in the league, SMDH

  4. Great QB's carve this defense up. If we get down a score or two like when the Bengals quickly went up 14-0, the odds of a comeback start getting long especially if the weather is bad, even with how great Allen is. McD's sphincter starts tightening and it leaves the door open for late game mismanagement. McD has shown an ability to get in rookie QB's heads.

Give me Broncos #1 for sure, then Miami (don't like the familiarity factor, they're getting healthier, and one of these days Josh has to have an off day against them), and I want no part of Burrow in a YOLO game if they sneak in.

Clearly we have the best OL coach in Kromer. You see what transforming potential does with these kids and we consistently have underdeveloped potential every season with our DL. We need to figure out a way to lure Smith away from the Ravens. He’s the best positional developer of DL and pass rush talent in The League. Bring him in as the DC in title with a focus on the DL and pass rush.

Don't know anything about Smith, but agree with the sentiment. Kromer has been awesome, and I've thought the same thing that I'd love a similar guy for the DL.

DL needs a complete overhaul, and a stud veteran DL coach is where it starts.

I'd also love to see us spend two of our three top-64 picks this year on 320+lb long-armed DTs, at least one of which is a stud 1Tech. We need to bring the pain up the middle and unfortuantely DaQuan seems to have lost it (loved him in 2022 & 2023 pre-injury).

Ed has his flash moments but until proven otherwise he gets swallowed up & neutralized in the playoffs with his short arms and lighter frame. Some beef at the 1T & 3T would also wear O-lines & RBs out for the 4th quarter, as we've seen our top 5 O-line do to the opposition's DL in reverse. This is a great draft class to upgrade both DT positions for cheap and move on with a fresh start and a new DL coach.

  6. I loved Diggs when he was in his prime here but he fell off HARD over the second half of last year and is now coming off an ACL. I think part of it was he's not a fit for this scheme, but on top of that he's basically going to be mostly a slot guy that doesn't want to block if and when he comes back fully from this injury. I'd take him at league minimum for a year but I'd honestly probably rather have Mack Hollins plus a day 3 rookie next year instead of Diggs at this point.

Unless it’s a reasonable one year deal I don’t want to see Douglas back. I don’t want us to overpay for him to return

yes yes yes do not pay multiple boundary CB's in this system. You can pay Benford on an extension but not both. Just pick 2 with some arm length, tackling ability & zone awareness skills on day 3 this year and at least one will work out.

Puka is a HOF talent.   But he plays with such abandon that he will end up washing out due to injury.   But when he is on he is maybe the most unstoppable WR in the NFL.   Bills ran into a Rams offense that was mostly healthy,  which almost never happens.   McVay and Shanahan beat the hell out of their players and we saw both ends of that spectrum the past 2 weeks.

We drafted the complete stiff Justin Shorter over him 🤣

Nice thing is there's a lot of free agent backs in 2026.  Cook probably commands a higher price, but you can get a solid rb2 likely after the cards fall.  Or just keep drafting them.

Day 3 (RayDay), low budget FA's (Tyler Johnson) and UDFA's at RB all damn day every day. Do not pay an RB please!

Bishop runs 4.45 and Elam runs 3.39.

Benford. Douglas, Rapp all run in 4.6+ 40 yard time. Even for Poyer/Hyde, they were in 4.56+ range.

Speed isn't everything but I bet you they surely like to add some speed in the secondary so they have more options, like playing more man, be more aggresive. We'll see how it goes.

Check out their 10 yard splits tho

I'll fold this into the random head thread but this was so stupid I've got to point it up first.

So anybody with two eyes knows that Greg Rousseau has inarguably been one of the stoutest, best run-defending DE's in the NFL since about 10 minutes after he stepped on to the field. He's been beating the dogspit out of OT's for 4 straight years with virtually no let-up and both film and analytics consistently suggest he's arguably the best in the world at it.

He made a play last night and CreeperC said (paraphrasing) "Greg Rousseau, he's long and strong but it seems like he's finally starting to add a little physicality to his game"

    Are you f'ing kidding me?

Even a cursory investigation into him at any point would suggest he's one of the most physical DE's in football and this is the analysis you want to provide during a game?

How in the hell has it gotten to the point where a network can gladly put a creepy moron that everybody hates on the air every week for so many years?

Note to NFL suits: Nobody is turning on SNF to hate watch him; he is not helping you in any way. People are literally turning the sound down (the sound your advertiser's are paying for) just because they want to watch some football on Sunday night. Ratings aren't going to go down and may go up if you get rid of him. Wake up and recognize that he is a net negative you dolts.

The only thing most of the highly paid prime time color guys truly know is that a majority of the prime time viewing audience doesn't know much about football, it's casual fans so they can just say whatever they want and it doesn't actually matter. So you get catchphrases and some pet topic(s) they steer everything towards no matter how relevant. Extremely annoying, but it's like death & taxes at this point.

  12. All I ask is no major injuries, no weather flukes, and let the chips fall where they may. Think we are at worst a coin flip matchup against anyone in the league no matter where's it's played under those two circumstances. If Josh plays as he typically does in the playoffs, there just may be no stopping us this year.

No. Ben Johnson to Buffalo if we don't get to,and win, a super bowl.

Can you imagine what he could do with Allen?

Not a whole lot different than Brady most likely. We are 16-4 including playoffs since he took over. That also includes the game @Philly with horrendous reffing and multiple botched TDs plus the KC playoff game where we had a decimated LB/DB crew, the offense had the stuff.
