Davis is a good pass catching back.  He is not what I described.  Cook moving as smooth as be does undersells how rare what he is doing really is.  I like Davis alot and is a 3 down back.  You are not going to see Davis 15 to 20 yards down field running a route like a slot wr.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

He is also being targeted in spots other backs are not.  Corner and deep outs from the split back or wing positions are things other backs cant do.  That adds to the overall difficulty of the catches.  Majority of his drops came down the field.  Traditional running back routes under 10 yards he was very consistent.  Those bigger plays come down to him and Allen working on it.  If he routinely makes those handful of plays he is in the conversation for best back in the league.   Thats Marshall Faulk and Thurman Thomas stuff really.  Right now only Mccaffery and maybe Kamara and soon enough Ray Davis do some of the down the field things Cook does.

Ray Davis has some very nice downfield WR-type catches on his highlight reel, I think Brady is going to put him in those spots early & often and I think he'll thrive

Higgins looks like he's going to play nice, but Aiyuk is out here on TikTok telling Jayden Daniels that the 49ers just told him they don't want him back.

Excess 2025 draft capital just burning a hole in the pocket. Bring in your namesake, Brandon!

By Butler I assume you mean Hakeem Butler, the WR who was just named the UFL's Offensive Player of the Year.

"Butler had 45 catches for a league-high 652 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the St. Louis Battlehawks this season. He will have a chance to add to those titles in a conference title game against San Antonio this weekend."

The former Cardinals 4th rounder has excellent measureables at 6'5" and 227 pounds:

He fits the profile of receiver the Bills seem to be accumulating.

I was mad when we drafted Cody Ford over DK Metcalf then double mad when we took Knox over Hakeem Butler 🤣 one out of two ain't bad!

I'd bring him in like Claypool though. I mean, YOLO

Um...you sure Tank Dell playing slot there in Houston?  IDK, but 15.1 Y/R of which 11.9 are YBC doesn't sound like a slot.

Their plan to play Diggs in the slot instead? Collins X, Dell Z, Diggs slot? Or you think they kick Dell inside more with an All-Pro Z getting paid $30mil for one season of service?

Agree with Mueller's analysis.  Which makes last year's game in London even more frustrating (and I was there).  Lawrence was never moved off of his script/clock by McD's defense in that game - he was allowed to stay in his rhythm and throw to spots on time.  Super frustrating because if you can eliminate his easy reads he struggles.

DaQuan & Milano going down early in that game may have had something to do with it 😭

My impression was Diggs issues with Buffalo was with coaching compentency in the playoffs hurting the chance to win. ( I am not saying is or isn't right, but I that is my impression of Diggs problem).  I think he will play hard this year and see how far the Texans can go. And his happiness and next steps will depend on that.

On paper Collins is a better X than Gabe and Dell is a better slot than Beasley, Diggs could have a monster year...

I'm really pulling for the kid. Would be huge for him and the Bills if he finds his way.

I'm also a huge Brandon Beane fan.

Both being said, I can't understand why we would trade up in the first round to take a guy who doesn't know Zone and struggles in space. We have the tremendous benefit of having a consistent, established defensive scheme for 7 years. We didn't we just pick a guy who actually fits it?

He did pick a great fit for the system! Christian Benford, five rounds later 😆

What if AD and Troy Franklin totally suck? Then our WR corps still sucks AND our defense sucks. You just wasted picks.

At the end of the day, just trust your draft board and all the work you put into it.

What if Bishop & Carter are JAGS or totally suck?

Eh joe isn't perfect but he's passionate and hardworking. But he has bad takes at times too.

Hearing him fawn over Edmunds and

    not see the Bernard fit

    Is one example.

    But he's awesome.

sure everyone has bad takes along the way especially with a daily show. But he's not a hot take artist, far from it, which is all I ask. Nobody's word is gospel

It feels like a trade HAS to be coming. We have $10.2M more in cap space coming up after June 1. I know Beane likes to have a small cushion for in-season moves but he is not going to leave that much available cap space.

And Beane has been seemingly deliberate with how blatantly he's ignored the #2 outside WR. If I've said it once I've said it 100 times - Mack Hollins will not be our #2 outside WR. I just don't believe Beane would let that happen.

So reading the tea leaves I believe a plan is already in place and will come to fruition at the right time. Of the available names, Metcalf makes the most sense for someone we could trade for and have the trading team retain some of the cap hit so we could get him on the roster and then immediately extend him. Hopkins probably won't be available until the trade deadline. Aiyuk I believe we would not be able to afford to even place him on the roster to then extend him because his 5th year option is fully guaranteed.

Could potentially be saved for carryover cap space to make a splash next year or for a deadline deal too

Yeah I have been advocating for WR's whose game translates better to the playoffs but if Coleman's career with elite Josh Allen at QB starts out like Davante Adams' career with elite Aaron Rodgers at QB.......where he averages just under 3 catches and 30 yards per game for this first couple seasons after being a second round pick himself............then someone else will have to be producing to GET them to the playoffs.   When I say "raw" I mean I am not sure he is poised to be very effective early in his career.

He also had Jordy Nelson & Cobb in front of him. I think he'll be a lot more like Rashee Rice's rookie year (slowly increase workload, end up with 800+ yards) than Davante's.

ON THE FIELD I MEAN. ON THE FIELD

I understand that. They were okay going from 28 to 32 not knowing if Coleman would be there. What is the Pats went to 31? What is SF took him instead of Pearsall? There’s layers to this…

I understand that. See above  ^. When they went from 28 to 32 there was no guarantee that Coleman OR Legette would be there.

Maybe Pearsall was one of the guys they had penciled in along with Legette & Coleman, and they figured going to 32 from 28 had a high probability of one of the three being there. When two were still available, they decided a one slot move down would ensure at least one was still there, plus an extra top 150 pick using NE as leverage (which turned into Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, quality IOL depth at worst, long term starting center at best). Pretty nice move if so

He already has $10 billion. What's he going to do with another $10 billion? You can't spend that much in a lifetime and he's an old man. I'm guessing owning the team brings him a lot of joy and notoriety.

I know a lot of people who own businesses that could sell and retire but then nobody will know or care who they are so they sit in their office and just enjoy being the "big guy." There's definitely more to life than money, especially if you already have enough

Totally agree that there's more to life than money but sitting in a corner office rotting while people kiss your ass simply because you have money is quite possibly one of the most pathetic uses of time I can think of lol. But I guess that's why I haven't made a billion dollars!

What we needed to replace in the receiver room was drops.  Replace those guys with players that can consistently catch the ball.  Samuel and Coleman don't drop the ball so I like both being added.  Speed receivers while stretching the field only account for 1-2 throws a game.

Ray Davis has great hands out of the backfield too, very much on board with emphasizing the hands re: pass catchers we add. Hopefully with all the draft ammo accrued next year we can add an absolute stud hands/speed/route runner on a cheap contract for 5 years and pry the window wide open for Allen's next chapter

Not for nothing, but I feel like the majority of picks spent on the International Pathways players are just wasted picks.

Yeah was hoping for a Jalen Coker swing there or another trade into 2025 but seems like reasonable upside with this guy so 🤷‍♂️
