I certainly understand the sentiment here, but who actually watches or listens to commercials anymore? I guess if you're in a sports bar, and they've got the same game on every tv, you'd be forced to hear/see the commercials, but even then, that's when you ignore them, and talk to people or go to the john.
When Im at home, I pretty much am always surfing the net on a tablet or my phone or my laptop while watching anything, and commercials always get muted til the game (or show Im watching) comes back on.
The way the NFL seems to be going is that they want to charge $$$ for everything. Thursday night games cost you this year, and PSLs have been around a long time, and are becoming more prevalent in the future. Seems they will be shutting out "Joe Six Pack" at some point.
