11/26/23 Week #12 GAMEDAY Bills at Eagles Pregame Thread
Bob Jones replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just checked again right now....chance of rain between 80-90% for the duration of the game. -
Wut? In HS and college when the receiver hits the ground, he's down. So, it's a catch.

Temps in the mid 40s and 90% chance of rain from 4-7pm…..probably not gonna be a big passing day, but I guess we’ll see. Go Bills! -
Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
Bob Jones replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Betting line has dropped to -3 for Eagles….means people are betting on the Bills. -
The Bills screwed themselves over by losing to the Jets, Pats, and Broncos. Although honestly, they're really not that good, as they barely beat the Giants and the Bucs. I do agree that if JA17 and the offense plays well, and limits the turnovers, they can score on anybody.....but, with all the injuries on defense, I just don’t see them going too far in the post season, and that's if they even get there.

Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
Bob Jones replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Posting with emotion: Bills by a million! We're back, baby! Posting with my head: If the Bills play smart, protect the ball, tackle well, execute well on offense, get a few breaks, AND JA17 has a great game, they could actually win it. -
Ridiculous. Most times, on a "bomb" pass, the defender is not even close enough to contact the receiver, and the receiver waltzes in to the end zone untouched. As somebody else pointed out in this thread though, A LOT of defensive PIs happen when a ball is underthrown, and the receiver has to come back to the ball, and there is a collision actually caused by the receiver, because he slowed down and/or stopped dead in his tracks to come back to the ball. You're rewarding a team for having a crappy throw by their QB. I could also see what somebody else offered....2 severities of PI, just like on grabbing the facemask foul used to be. You have to admit that very often these PI calls are made on the defense with very minor, incidental contact.
-
As we see every week in the NFL, there is absolutely NO guarantee that a receiver is even going to make the catch, whether it’s 10 yards downfield or 50. So yes, limiting a PI penalty to 10 or 15 yards would be a good thing.
-
Defensive PI / Holding / Illegal Contact- 10 yards and NO automatic 1st down. Offensive Holding - train the refs better, so that there is consistency across all officiating crews. Roughing the QB - Make all QBs wear hi vis yellow skirts, and allow defenders to “down” them with just a 2-hand touch. 😉 Getting really tired of a lot of these Roughing the QB calls.
-
They’re still starting Kenny Pickett at QB though, right? So, not really worried about them.
-
Agreed. No one knows what happens deep down in the middle of that scrum. 😉
-
This pushing/pulling by teammates on a guy with the ball needs to be banned ASAP. And it happens all over the field too, not just at the goal line or on short yardage situations. My guess is that it wont be though, unless someone get seriously hurt in one of these instances.
-
At this point, it seems likely, but who knows? Stay tuned for the 2nd half.

Manningcast just brought on a college basketball player. WTH?! Just so dumb.
-
He didn’t plug anything. You gotta admit though, some of the questions they asked him were dumb/ridiculous.

Chiefs Oline holding like crazy on that TD

Will a win over the Jets to get to 6-5 bring everyone back in?!?!
Bob Jones replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's see...get paid millions of dollars (in salary, not hourly) to work for 6 months out of the year, and then get asked to come in on your "day off" on a rare occasion. Yeah, that's crazy! That NEVER happens in the real world, for salaried employees. 🙄😂 Always amazed at how people coddle these spoiled millionaires. -
Officials Blowing Their Whistles in the Middle of Play
Bob Jones replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's absolutely NO WAY any official saw that in real time. They regularly miss blatant fouls that happen in the open field, right in front of them. Plus, after I DVRd it last night, the whistle was NOT blown until after the pitch was made, so no, they didn’t whistle it dead when our guy was still on the ground. -
Outlook on McDermott if we turn it around
Bob Jones replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a Dorsey apologist, but statistically speaking, Dorsey did a great job. Also, he did NOT contol turnovers, pass drops, or errant throws or boneheaded decisions by JA17, or mind numbing decisions by McClappy. -

Now that would be a hell of a story….one for the ages. Would have to redo ESPN’s “Four Falls” in to “Four Falls and a Golden Cowboy.” 😂 The coaches absolutely should make the players come in to OBD to watch/study the game. -
I guess. Just having a hard time believing that some Bills' coach went to Diggs this past week and said "Hey Sauce is guarding you this week, so we're probably going to be going to other guys." Can't imagine Diggs would be "OK" with that. LOL In fact, I'd bet money he would be p***ed off.
-
Absolutely happy with the win, and it's a nice momentum gainer/confidence builder going in to next week's game vs the Eagles. One thing though: Diggs doesn’t seem to be making any big plays, or even getting any targets downfield. What is up with that?
