Went to bed at 10pm and woke up this morning to see that Seattle actually had the lead in the 4th qtr but ended up losing. How did that happen? Is Dallas really good or did Seattle get Billsy? 🤔

The kid who got canned posted up a nice piece on X detailing his career and his friendship with Tyreek…it was interesting. FWIW, Many people who replied to that post felt that the NFL was wrong for firing him, and that they should actually promote him to reach a young audience. Edit: for those of you that are on X, the kid’s handle is @kfitzsports and you can see the post I mention above there. The title of the post is “The journey continues”

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bob Jones replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have you seen photos of his significant other? Staying with her for a week, locked up in a luxury apartment, seems like it would be WAY better than going to see a narcissistic skank. 😉 But who knows, maybe the shine has worn off….they’ve been together 7 years now. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas

I read somewhere today that the woman he assaulted was his SEVEN YEAR companion. If the latter is true, then that is really, really sad. Yes, I know it's sad/bad that (if true), he did this to any woman, but IMHO, there would be a difference if it was some escort or ONS vs a woman he obviously loves/loved, and has a LTR with. -

I'm pretty sure that Von's days in the NFL are done....unless this woman is totally lying....but the bruises on her body seem to back up her story. Crazy how a few minutes of anger can ruin someone's life/livelihood. -

I agree, but like I said earlier in this thread, if his girlfriend called the cops shortly after it happened, and then they showed up to the house shortly after that, and she had visible injuries, he's done for. Now, it says that she didn't go to the hospital, so if the "injuries" were very minor...not even sure what that'd be, a scratch maybe?....then he may skate. Any black eyes and/or bruises that are black & blue, or even red, and he's done. -

There was a lot less stress involved (for us fans) for sure. Plus, by Thanksgiving you didn’t have to worry about Bills games interfering with holiday parties or other holiday events, because they just didn’t matter. 😉 -

Like somebody else said though, if the cops showed up shortly after it happened, and she had visible bruises, his goose is cooked. -

You've watched "The Firm" too many times. 😂 -
Constipation. This one got stuck in my digestive tract.

Same. After 13 seconds, I half expect the collapse, and then the L. If you accept that the L is inevitable, it makes it a lot easier to go forward with your life. I remember way back when, after Norwood’s wide right, that stuck with me for days, and I had trouble sleeping for a while. But with McD, and what the Bills have done under his watch in the last 6 years, it’s not as unsettling because again, I expect it. -
Some impressive defensive stats to chew on today
Bob Jones replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Put another way, since the London game, the defense (and their coaches) have been choking, BIG TIME, when the game is on the line. Sadly, we are all very familiar with this fact. -
They don’t control their own destiny though. Pretty sure that they need help from other teams. IOW, they need the cards to fall "just right" for them to get in, even at 11-6. Correct me if I'm wrong....

For us older guys, I think they need to bring in somebody like General Savage (Gregory Peck) from the late 1940s war movie, "12 O'Clock High", to give them a motivating speech for the rest of the year. 😉 Here's a snippet for those of you who have never seen that movie (I changed a few words to fit the situation): "I’ve been sent here to take over what has come to be known as a hard luck group. Well, I don’t believe in hard luck. So we’re going to find out what the trouble is. Maybe part of it’s your coaching so we’re going back to fundamentals. But I can tell you now one reason I think you’ve been having hard luck. I saw it in your faces last night. I can see it there now. You’ve been looking at a lot of air lately… and you think you ought to have a rest. In short, you’re sorry for yourselves. I don’t have a lot of patience with this, “What are we fighting for?” stuff. We’re in a war, a war to get into the playoffs. We’ve got to fight. And some of us are going to die. I’m not trying to tell you not to be afraid. Fear is normal. But stop worrying about it and about yourselves. Stop making plans. Forget about going home. Consider yourselves already dead. Once you accept that idea, it won’t be so tough. Now if any man here can’t buy that… if he rates himself as something special, with a special kind of hide to be saved… he’d better make up his mind about it right now. Because I don’t want him in this group. I’ll be in my office in five minutes. You can see me there." LOL

I recorded it on Sunday, and watched some of it last night after getting home from work. I zipped ahead on my DVR to the 2nd qtr, with about 7 minutes to go. From that point until halftime, the refs screwed the Bills over mercilessly....the head shot to Kincaid (no call); very next play, blatant holding by Slay right in front of an official who had the perfect angle to see it (no call); then of course the no call Horsecollar on JA, and even his half a$$ pass attempt was not grounding, as Davis was right there. And Romo was pointing out all these mistakes by the refs too. The 2nd half was a little better re "fairness", but the Bills still got the sh**ty end of the stick. As I said in the GD thread, not sure how any unbiased observer would not be calling for the NFL office/Refs to be investigated for "fixing" a game. It was truly astounding. And no holding calls at all on Philly for the whole 1st half? Impossible.

I virtually never watch ESPN, or for that matter, any pre-game or talking head sports shows, but I did watch a little of this clip and I have a question. Do the female eye candy on these shows all dress like the lady in this clip…all dolled up like a Saturday night hooker, showing lots of upper body skin? 🤔😂

McD on late game decisions - "Hindsight is always 20/20"
Bob Jones replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dunno. Even if they miss the playoffs, he really doesn’t have to do anything....the NFL gold mine money will still keep rolling in. Now, if he hopes to sell PSLs and season tickets, then for sure, before that shiny new ice bowl opens up, he'll probably have to do something. -
I agree that the refs were literally wearing green outfits for most of the game, and were incredibly incompetent, and IMO, it did affect the outcome of the game, but.... ...on the horse collar / grounding play, if you watch the video closely, the Philly defender did NOT have his hand inside the collar on the BACK of JA. He obviously did have his hand on the inside of his collar in front, above JA's chest, as he ripped the jersey there. So, the ref seemed to say in the post game presser that a horse collar must be administered on the back side of a player to be a foul. Is the latter true? I had thought that a hand inside the collar, anywhere around a player's head (360°), is a personal foul. Also, the grounding part of it did seem legitimate; JA should have just taken the sack. And in actuality, he should have just thrown it away before he was dragged down.

Add another record of disappointment to our franchise
Bob Jones replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, agree 100%. They were methodically moving the ball, but then they went for the kill shot. -
I agree that he should have saved the TOs for the 20 second run, but, the clock was stopped before that 59 yard FG because of a Philly incomplete pass, so Philly's FG unit did not have to do a Chinese Fire drill like in the Denver game.

Only question is, is it McD's wife or Mom? 😂
-
I disagree with the OP here. The better solution is to have excellent playcalling, and excellent execution by your players, so that they just roll in for the game winning TD. The Bills offense was pretty much methodically steam rolling through the Eagles defense yesterday all game, and had Davis & JA17 been on the same page on their final play from scrimmage, the game would have been over. As I've said in another thread in here, right now, I just don't think the Bills have enough talent (on both sides of the ball) and/or skills to be a championship contender, and they don't execute on offense near as well as the other top teams. They've shown us that over the past couple of months.

I will be praying for this outcome every Sunday from now right through the playoffs, if only to not have to see the frequent camera shots of the Philly's owners box and Bradley Cooper....that is disgusting and annoying. And on that topic, do they show owners boxes at EVERY NFL game after their team scores, or only a select few? If no, then why not? In any case, I wish they'd just stop doing that.
