Calling it now: Bills are going to at least reach the AFCCG
Bob Jones replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Love the optimism, and I hope you're right. One thing though, other than players *maybe* healing up their bodies and getting reinvigorated, all indications are that they had a week off, and were off doing who knows what, and NOT working on plays with Brady and/or hanging out at OBD. I asssume they'll have a normal practice week (4-5 days this week) and then get on the plane Saturday for KC. So, it's a normal prep week for a game; nothing extra (as some adocated for...yes the players CBA says they must get off for Thursday - Sunday of a bye week, but they could have practiced Monday - Wednesday of last week). As I mentioned in another thread in here this week, they had 10 days to prepare for the Bengals earlier this year and that meant nothing, as they got rolled. -

Thanks for doing this leg work. Looks like the bottom line is that the Bills need to win out and still get some help from other teams. All these playoff predictor sites are pretty much worthless this far out, because so many teams are in the hunt, and there’s too many variables. I’d even bet that most of the playoff spots in the AFC will be decided on the final Sunday of the season. Would be nice to see the Bills go on a nine game run. 😉 -

Huh. Seems odd that they wouldn't have shot X-rays from multiple angles, or at least both sides. HMO? LOL When I broke my collar bone, they did shoot X-rays from both the front & back, although it was broken in two places so it was easy to see in any case. -

They did X-rays last night, so if it was broken, they’d know that now. He is going in for an MRI this morning. My prediction is that he’ll miss at least 2 games, maybe 3, and they still win the division. -

I strongly disagree with this take. And the disrespect you’re spewing out at Tua and Purdy is uncalled for. But you know what, I’m sure that they don’t care one iota what people think of them. They’ll just keep winning and laughing at the doubters. -

WTH? Did McClappy get in Taylor's ear with that TO? LOL -

Yes, hindsight is always 20/20....but, if it had worked, then we'd all be singing a different tune. -

Not really. Just a bad decision to throw it with Allen in the way. Mixon had blockers over there and a lot of green in front of him. Had the throw been arced up a bit, it probably would have worked, and for a big gainer too. -

Tua seems like a smart kid. -

Without Burrow, Cincy is garbage. Although if the Bills lost JA, the Bills would be garbage. Hell, with JA the Bills are close to garbage. They can prove me wrong in the next 5 weeks....we shall see. -
It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line

Who is Jim Ross? -
Just read the box score….Lambeau Field holds over 78,000 people!? When/How did that happen? In the era of teams shrinking their stadium size to in the 60s, that is surprising.

Bottom line is that FSU got royally screwed. Defense wins championships, and they have a helluva defense. And lIke others have said, they would have had their 2nd string QB back for the playoff games. Just like in the NFL, any of those top teams can beat another top team...."On any given Saturday." To make a blanket statement that "there's no way FSU would beat team x, y, or z" is just laughable and ridiculous. In March Madness bball, some underdogs knock off the "big dogs" EVERY year.

Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
Bob Jones replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Remember not too long ago when the Bills had 10 days to prepare for the Bengals game, in Orchard Park? How'd that work out? Sure, *anything* is possible, but from what this team has shown us all year, it seems highly unlikely that they win out. More likely is that they win 2 more games (Pats & Chargers). -

Probably, but it's more than that though. This team is a mediocre team this year. The injuries have definitely hurt the defense, but the offense just didn't perform/execute way too often. And NO, it wasn’t all Dorsey's fault. There's always next year. 😉 -
Yep. They sure did. Love it. Hate the Iggles and their obnoxious fans.
-
That is an absolute catch...he had both hands under the ball. If they overturn that.....Grrr
-
That the Patriots beat the Bills says volumes about the Bills. The Bills don't belong anywhere near the playoffs this year.

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bob Jones replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apparently, sometime during the melee, she started recording on her phone and then put it in her pocket, so that recording will take precedence over what they both say now. Also, there's the matter of the cops seeing injuries on her body shortly after the fight. If you've read a bunch of pages of this thread, the bottom line is that Von is done (in the NFL) and he may be going to jail. And in Texas, it doesn't matter if the victim does not want to cooperate, they can & will prosecute the case if they feel that they have enough evidence. -
Did you even watch the video here? Davis DID run the right route. The guy doing analysis here, and the video, makes that clear. And even a HS QB could see that the CB had inside leverage on Davis, so Davis' best option was to go left, AWAY from the CB, which he did. JA17 made the wrong decision. Like everybody says with JA, you gotta take the bad with the good, and this was a bad.
-
Davis ran the route correctly in OT, and it should have been an easy walk off win. Unfortunately Josh chose wrong, which is surprising, cuz I'm guessing he saw that the CB had inside leverage there, so dunno why he threw the ball inside. Oh well, no one's perfect.

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bob Jones replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, and right now, there already is WAY more actual hard evidence in this matter than there ever was in the Araiza case, so it will be very interesting to see what the Pegulas do here. Money wise, from what I've read in here, they'll be better off to wait a while before they fire him, but principled people normally do the right thing ASAP. EDIT: I can't imagine the millions of female Bills fans being OK with keeping VM on the team. -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bob Jones replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
LMAO. Wut? She calls the cops on him, and when they show up, he's taken off, and most importantly, they see bruises on her body, to include marks on her neck. Later, she realizes that Von may lose millions of dollars, and of course that will affect her & her kids, so she tries to brush off the situation. So, "the fact set" never changed (she was assaulted by VM) but her mindset did because of the realization of losing millions of dollars, and consequently, likely losing her lavish lifestyle. Get it?
