Impact Players and the case for doing whatever it takes at WR1
Dillenger4 replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely and so would Ayouk. You can get Ayouk for two second picks thus keeping our #28 this year. -
Impact Players and the case for doing whatever it takes at WR1

Go get Ayouk. You know what you are getting. Move up a few spots and get Latu. Boom - this team would be set. Now we need Von to be better (not great) but better, Milano to be recovered, DQJ to have an impactful season and Curtis Samuel and Ty Johnson to have good seasons. Then - Brady to scheme it all on O the way we know he should. Then Cook and Allen cook it up. Kincaid, Knox, Rasul, Bernard. BOOM baby. Only 2 new names listed above. And this is a powerhouse. Hearing Beane and SF are in talks anyway... its moving. -
Good points. I am dreaming about an Ayouk trade. I think JJ is way too far fetched for our current position but it would be ideal. Realistically speaking, I think Beane moves on one of the 2 following scenarios: 1) OBJ - he had 550yds and 3 TD's last season with Balt. Some good catches over 40 yds and a lot of 20 yard catches as an average. 1-year deal to keep the boat-a-float sorta speak. Wouldn't cost a lot. 2) Ayouk from SF. Get him for one of next years #2 and #5? He woudl fill the #1 requirement perfect. Either scenario allows us to keep our drafy and fill the holes we need.

This is the truth. It will be an OBJ type signing for 1-year, cheapish and we keep our draft. Or, at most - Ayouk and we keep most of our draft.

Does Beane have a trade with Schoen Lined Up???
Dillenger4 replied to cbatl32's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just stop with the "move up to 6" or even top ten. We have way too many holes to fill and beaner won't waste all our picks for a rookie WR. There were 4 WR's taken in the 1st round last year: 900 yards 800yards 600 yards 400 yards. Good numbers, but not trading my whole draft for that.- 77 replies

How would you construct the 2024 Bills WR Room?
Dillenger4 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are talking about in right now on NFLN, saying Ayouk camp is interested and his "deal" is more palliative than people think. This goes down by tomorrow. Go Beaner! -

We can but 17-19 gets you what? A hope. Ayouk isn't 28 million btw. And clearly you missed the part that we keep our draft in place this year. -

The most realistic approach is the one the media is pushing and I agree 100%: Beane will not sell the farm to move up. Can't afford to. Ayouk (trade with SF - #28, next years Bills #2, we keep Minn #2). Shakir Samuel Hollins 4th round WR Shorter/Isabella -
Partying and bashing hard. He is a funny dude to bash with.

I get your point - but not a chance. Without Allen we would be a 3 win team, maybe. Just like most NFL teams.

Josh is a stud at QB. He is top 5 no doubt. But the "other" fans in the NFL think he is rough around the edges. His accuracy shows, at times, that he is inconsistent which we all see. He can't hit the long ball with "touch" is another comment I hear a lot. And he doesn't see the field as well as other top QB's, hence the missed open WR's we see in many games. But he can ball! And I'll take that all day. Now just win one baby!
-
I agree. And yet they beat us last season and the one before. With their additions this past off-season they will be better. That's all I'm saying. We too have "new" OC and new DC. We will see. I agree to a point. Highlighted above: If we lost Josh last season on opening day our season would have been even messier than it was. Not many teams in teh NFL can overcome that. Anyway, we will see. Exciting games coming this season that's for sure!

I respect your opinion. But this is the furthest ting from reality. Jets will be a power team in the AFCE. We will dog fight it out with them and miami who is also quietly building a good roster. I do believe the Jets will be our main comp in the AFCE no doubt. If they were smart, they will move up and snag a good QB. Not out of the question.....

What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
Dillenger4 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great moves by the Steelers. They have a pounding good RB room, two QB's that will play much better than what they had last season and still they made the playoffs. They can run the ball and they have a good Defense. Russ and Fields will make them a tough team to beat IMO. -
I agree with you. get Josh that DE (Latu) so our D can actually make a stop in the 4th Q in a meaningful game. Josh gets us the lead and our D lets the opposition march right down and score every time. Get that Pass rusher! Move up to do it. Also - Curtis Samuel says hi! Get wrecked!

DeShawn Williams (DT) Expected To Sign With Bills
Dillenger4 replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cool, thanks for the info and breakdown. Again, not familiar with Deshawn Williams. I like Phillips but I agree, he is always hurt. So if Williams is an upgrade I think we will all be happy. -

Dillenger4 replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is? Why do you say this? If he is better than Jordan Phillips then he must be pretty damn good! I hope you are correct! I don't know this new guy so.... -
Our pick is DE: Latu. Moving up to get him. I'm all in.
-
Interesting. If he accepts, that would be an interesting move by the Phins. He was OK for Baltimore and would give Tua that extra "out" target that Odel is so good at. Nothing crazyu to see here but found it interesting as the Phins are trying this off season.

We will see. I bet he's gone, full stop. We need players. And :he worked his tail off to get back to spped" etc etc. Whatever, he was brutal. End. of. story. BuBYYYYEEE
