They made that look easy.
-
And add in some Harty as well.
-
Those quick shots take a ton of pressure off the offensive line.
-
8 first downs in 1st half against the Pats who couldn’t stop anybody in their last 2 games.
-
They were imposters. This is the real Bills.
-
That basically says it all. Something is definitely broken.
-
Spencer Brown got toasted on that 3rd down play.

Playoffs? Playoffs?
-
What gives with our offensive line? Four man rush is killing us.
-
Staring down his receiver.

Are people really that unhappy with our 4-2 Bills?
Dubie54 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am extremely disappointed in their performances against the Jets and Jaguars. With the talent on this team, I dare say it was inexcusable to let those 2 games get away from them. It’s the inconsistent play from one week to the next that leads one to not know what team is going to take the field on any given Sunday. The way the schedule sets up for the Bills, I think they will look back on those 2 games as one’s that they needed to have in order to have a shot for home field in the playoffs. -
I also think their running success was due to the LBs not playing the gaps correctly. Once the shifted over, the giants were not able to be as successful. Some of this may be due to Bernard's inexperience although it may have been how McD wanted to be aligned. Whatever the case, they left huge holes for the giants to run through.

Suggestions on how to address the Bills sudden offensive struggles?
Dubie54 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Dorsey were creative he would find ways to utilize their speed more effectively. But the route running of the Bills offense is not creative and is predictable. Harty averaged 14/YPC two years ago on a mediocre Saints team. I think they have the ability to help spread the field and create match up problems on quick slant cross routes. Dorsey is making limited effort to try this out. Kincaid will definitely be an valuable asset on slot routes, but he doesn't have the speed of these guys. -

How many plays have you seen Harty or Shakir used as slot receivers? I’m not saying we don’t ultimately need upgrades to our receiver corps but these guys are quick and shifty and we need to use them more. -
NY Giants @ Buffalo Bills - SNF 2nd half game thread

It's a win but what an awful performance. -
Just threw out some stats and asked the board for what people's thoughts were. There are definitely differences in our TE production this year which I think is puzzling given the investment we made in Kincaid and the supposed fearsome TE duo we would have. Of course we want TE production, and sure our offense is rated 4th right now, (last year it was 2nd), but the TEs have been less a part of our success than in year's past and yet we now have one more TE weapon to utilize.

https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-te.php YAC: Knox is 29th; 2022- 9th; and 2021 - 6th. I don't think his ability to run has changed in 2 years, but he's not getting the kind of separation he has the past 2 years. There has to be an aspect here related to play calling.

A couple of things stand out for me in looking at our TE production so far this year. * Knox's production is down, which makes sense now that we have Kincaid. Knox has 11 receptions to Kincaid's 17. Their total of 28 * Avg. yds/catch. Knox is averaging 6.8 (Kincaid 6.9) when in is rookie season he averaged 13.8, and the last 3 seasons he's avgd. 11-12. * While their catch total of 27 is right behind the league leader Hockenson (30), their combined yds. of 193 ranks 14th. * Sam LaPorta on the other hand has 25 receptions, 289 yds, and is avg. 11.6. His production is more than double that of Kincaid in almost every category. So for whatever reason, we are not getting the same level of production in terms of yds/catch as we did during Knox's years, and the production Detroit is getting out of LaPorta is pretty impressive. There were a lot more play calls in years past when we threw to the TE down the field and now it seems we are limited to these dump off passes with limited YAC. I remember the days when Knox rumbled 10-15 yds. after a catch because he was out in the flat with space. It seems to me that with the two headed monster in Knox and Kincaid we could create match up problems galore and I just don't see Dorsey taking advantage of that. Thoughts? After his 165 yds. on 23 carries against the Titans he now has 445 yds. through 5 games and is averaging 5 yds/carry. On track for a 1,400 yd. season. Interesting that the Titans are no slouch against the run with teams averaging only 94 yds/game. I have to say I'm happy for the kid as it looked like his NFL career wasn't going to match the success he had in Utah. And being a Utah fan I had seen quite a few of his college games and wasn't sure he had the speed for the NFL. He does have a ton of wear on his tires as he set all kinds of HS rushing records in Florida and carried a ton for Utah during his 4 years, so I'm not sure he has that many good years left in the NFL, but we'll have to see how it plays out. We didn't get much for him with Dorsey never figuring out how to use Hines last year and then losing Hines all of this year to the freak accident. We also got the 5th rounder this year which turned into Justin Shorter who's now on IR. The way he has turned his game around, it could have been an interesting tandem with he and Cook this year, especially with our improved O-line.

Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
Dubie54 replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
!@#$ Roger Goodell. This entire NFL in Europe thing is a joke and does nothing to help the NFL. It’s an American game and should be played on fields that are designed for American football. It’s that’s simple. If the league truly cared about players, they wouldn’t be scheduling games in Europe. This a brutal sport and it’s hard enough for teams to get ready to play week after week and deal with the US-based travel demands. Experiments are for lab rats, not professional football players. -
Has no business being in the booth.

Wtf are we playing in f..n London for in the first place?
-
I think they’re trying to kill some time and they know they can always pass when they need a first.

Exactly - coverage is like a high school game.
