  1. Well maybe that's because you're not 6'6" and weigh 350 and just finished playing an NFL game in the trenches and have to sit for 3+ hours in coach.
  2. The Eagles just showed how to beat the Chiefs. If he can’t make the necessary adjustments this then time to move on. Many on this board have been screaming about all the soft coverage he deploys, going back to the 13 seconds and again in this years AFC championship. We sit there watching the same sh#@t every year and where are the adjustments? What game film are they looking at? This is the make or break year for McD IMO.
  3. Coaching, preparation and the ability to execute in a high pressure environment.
  4. It’s only a game and you can’t have your whole life focused on an outcome you have no control over. I love the Bills and am totally bummed right now, but the meaning and joy I get out of life far surpasses what happens with a Bills game.
  5. No dispute here, I am an arm chair QB who has watched football for 50+ years. The guys we got rid of, Driggs etc. that were supposed to plummet us to the basement. Driggs was a whiner at the end and I’ll take Shakir over him any day - at least Shakir doesn’t just lay down to avoid getting hit. All the others you mentioned were no great loss, except for maybe Floyd - but he always tired as the year went on. I think what surprised the so-called experts was the fact that we had personnel who could step in and exceed expectations. Every team has to deal with injuries so that’s baked in. I am not saying Mcd is a bad coach, far from it, but I am saying he cannot coach under pressure. He has proven it time and again.
  6. Respectfully disagree. “Supposed to be in the basement” - hardly. We can beat KC during the season but choke in the playoffs - what does that tell you about coaching? What’s standing in our way every year is a risk adverse coach who can’t step up under pressure.
  7. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Mcd has been out coached in every single playoff game against the Chiefs and you thought he would have learned a few things by now about Andy Reid. Andy always pulls a few surprises and coaches extremely well to the other team’s weaknesses. Why don’t we ever look imaginative on offense and play a less predictable defense. One conclusion is because it’s risky, so let’s just stay the course and expect it to work. The tush push. When everybody in the house is expecting the same thing, do something different! Playing Elam 10-15 yds off the receiver is the answer to Benford going down? We already tried that in the 13 second game and look what happened. I thought Elam was a pressure man to man guy, and what happened to Ingram and Lewis? Where was the pressure on Mahomes? Look what KC did to disguise the pressure on Josh when he had to unload the prayer to Kincaid. I don’t buy that we don’t have personnel to do it - it’s how you use what you have. There are a lot of glaring weaknesses on the team but I just don’t think Mcd is up to the challenge and the ceiling keeps hitting him in the head every year. There were clear opportunities to win that game, no doubt in my mind about that. The thought of cleaning house, Beane and Mcd, is not a pleasant one but at some point you just have to be honest and say that they have had numerous chances to prove they can do it and look where it has gotten us. Sure there are those who will say that winning the conference and making it deep into the playoffs is great but we are trying to win championships not just be a respectable team.
  8. How fitting that in a game where we hold Kelce to 2 reps and 19 yds, their leading receiver with 6 reps/85 yds. is the guy we passed on in the draft
  9. We have we the talent, but our offense is just not dynamic or imaginative enough.
  10. And don’t forget the no call on Ed Oliver getting clotheslined and held in the 4th qtr. with the ref literally standing right next to the play.
  11. Total holding on that play.
  12. What, have you been sitting in on these? You don't know how long they last or how much time Brady spends preparing for these. It's a distraction during a critical week and we don't need any.
  13. I don’t have an issue with coaches looking at new opportunities but here we are in the middle of preparing for perhaps the biggest playoff game/showdown in years and Brady is taking time off to interview for a job. What kind of a message does that send to the team and the fans? What’s more important your allegiance to your current team or your future career? These interviews are a distraction from the job at hand and if Joe simply stayed focused on his current job, the future will take care of itself. I wish him all the best and hope we can retain him but I would like to see him shelve his future plans for a while so he can focus on the present.
  14. He’s one concussion from ending his career.
  15. This unit has been a major reason for our success this year. We have also been very fortunate that this unit has stayed healthy through the entire year. There are rarely any plays where you see guys blowing an assignment - they just operate with such a level of cohesiveness it’s fun to watch. We heard how Denver’s D was playing at a league leading level in many categories throughout the second half of the year and this unit just physically overpowered their D line. Right now, this unit and Philly’s are the best in the NFL.
  16. And the Vikes offensive line doesn’t look very good.
  17. Great post. I have always had an issue with his int. % and overall accuracy. Out of his 11 years, he only had 4 years above 60% completions. Obviously there are a lot of intangibles when it comes to looking at the impact JK had on the Bills and Buffalo and he is without question a much beloved a Bill. But the game has changed considerably from his days and I don’t think in todays NFL with numbers he put up and his overall lack of mobility he doesn’t come close to the top tier QBs in the league.
  18. The d is better with him off the field. He may be done and we probably won’t really know until next year.
