  1. Beasley you might have an argument he was damn good that year. Brown was injured and done that season. Davis was a rookie and outside a few sprinkles of flash plays didn't do much. Singletary is no Cook and did next to nothing. Knox was a rookie and useless. Now let's add a Shakir and Samuel who blow the injured Brown and Rookie Davis socks off. Todays Knox destroys rookie Knox. Kincaid is so much far and away better and more dynamic than the 2020 Tightends and quite honestly will be better than Beasley and allows the Bills to run much more dynamic looks. Cook is so much better than Singletary. Singletary just doesn't come close to being anywhere near as dynamic or as much as a game breaker. People forget that Cook was 5th in the NFL in all purpose yards. Singletary goes to bed at night of dreaming in the top 25. Oline is better across the board outside center. McGovern is no slouch either. Josh Allen is better today than back then. So basically Diggs vs. to be named receivers. Does 2020 Diggs tilt the scale that much? He was awesome. I think the Bills win a Superbowl in either 2020 or 2021 with that Diggs and the current Bills supporting cast. I stand by what I said. The 2024 offensive roster is more talented and the 2020 Diggs is the only reason why its within a reach of the 2024 Buffalo Bills who could easily add a Tyler Boyd and Xavier Legette still to this roster and likely will.
  2. Outside Diggs this offense is so much more loaded than 2020. Oline is leaps and bounds better. Beane will correct the receiver issue. I have no doubt about that. On the defensive side 2020 was better but I actually might take the 2024 front 7. That 2020 secondary though was All Pro level. Kinda comes down to Bernard vs. Edmunds. Rosseau vs. Hughes. Epenesa/Miller vs. Addison and Jones vs. Harrison. Personally I am taking 2024 in every case with Rosseau vs. Hughes being a push and maybe Edmunds ahead of Bernard but its close.
  3. Beane doesn't get a pass but he's a good GM. I have 3 complaints about him. I used to have 4 with the oline but with the emergence of Brown and Torrence and McGovern being a steal of a signing I can't say the oline anymore. 1. The Von Miller contract. Never ever spend that much money on any free agent whose over 30. I'd go a step further and say over 27. 2. Diggs has basically been Josh Allen only weapon the entire time. Beane has completely failed in surrounding Allen with elite offensive talent. He's taken short cuts on offense hoping it would work out. Dear lord Isiah Mckenzie was our # 3 receiver two seasons ago. That is disgusting and inexcusable. Blowing two 3rds and a 2nd on RB. multiple receivers are on the field at any one time. Why aren't we using premium picks there for offensive positions? 3. Hes over paid and remaind loyal to defensive players who aren't playing premium positions (Poyer/Hyde) And a rotating list of back up dends and dtackles and its come at the expense of not being able to surround our offense with elite talent. McDermott is a defensive coach. Let him turn late round picks and bargain FA signings into decent players.
  4. Feel like Buffalo being a small market where views are aimed to reach a 100 000 people not millions you get what you get with the local media. Its Buffalo. You're never really fully removed from the fans and the team. I think if the local media was as tough as the media in New York, Boston, or Philly you'd really make Buffalo an undesirable destination. People don't want to head this but it's true. Green Bay if I'm not mistaken is also well known for praising the team rather than be tough with the Packers. As it pertains to Diggs. I think he just wanted out of Buffalo (the city) and wanted to move on when he thought a Superbowl was going to be more of a grind to achieve then when he first got here. Personally I'll take the 27 million in capspace and move on. AJ GREEN, JULIO JONES, ANDRE JOHNSON, DEZ BRYANT, ANTONIO BROWN, MARVIN HARRISON, ERIC MOULDS, etc all saw their production significantly decrease after their age 31 season. Take the 2nd and move on.
  5. Gifted was the wrong word but Diggs now being gone and Von being released = 45 million in cap space in 2025. That's space most teams with a Josh Allen dont have. Besides Knox, what bad contract do the Bills have moving forward?
  6. Using that logic no team should ever make a trade. However If the Bills want to trade up early in the 2nd Round to draft two of Xavier Worthy Adonai Mitchell Xaiver Legette Keon Coleman Ladd McConkey Troy Franklin maybe Ja'Lynn Polk Roman Wilson With their 28 and early 2nd round pick. I'm all for that as well.
  7. Trade up absolutely. Into the top of the 2ne round and grab one of Xavier Worthy Adonai Mitchell Xaiver Legette Keon Coleman Ladd McConkey Troy Franklin Ja'Lynn Polk after grabbing one at 28. Trading up into the early 1st is insane when next year will need the draft to reload on defense.
  8. Playing around with the different mock draft simulators and I dont think its unreasonable to trade up in the 2nd round if we find a few recievers are slipping out of the 1st round. Using this method I have a few times ended up with the ability to draft two receivers from the following group. Xavier Worthy Adonai Mitchell Xaiver Legette Keon Coleman Ladd McConkey Troy Franklin Ja'Lynn Polk In fact in every mock draft I've ended up with two of these guys by picking at # 28 and trading into the top 40 using our # 60 and 133 pick and a 2nd next year. Obviously mock draft simulators isn't reality but I see a world where the Bills could double dip on two of these guys.
  9. I dont disagree but to land a top 15 receiver whose gonna be a top 15 for the duration of his contract I think you should do this. I can live with a double dip at 28 and 60 at receiver. I just much prefer cost certainty if at all possible. We don't know if the pick at 28 and 60 will be two Ocyrus torrence or two Cody Fords or one of each. By trading for Aiyuk we guarantee at least one Torrence.
  10. Yes he is 14 million this year. Yes the Bills can restructure. Yes with Allen's further restructure they could fit him in while continuing to round out the roster. No the Bills won't be in cap hell with 45 million coming off the books in 2025 with Diggs gone and Von released post June 1st. I'm all for keeping picks and hoping they hit. But I've done this dance with Beane and this regime already with Diggs. Stop screwing around and load up on offensive talent while the core rb/receiver talent is cost controlled. Get the damn proven # 1 outside receiver and add another high end talent at 28 instead of wishing Isiah Mckenzie or Gabe Davis becomes a stud. I'm done with this methodical approach. You've been gifted a ton of cap space. Do something with it while 8 of your 11 offensive players are cost controlled. Knox can be released in 2026 and there is more money. IM DONE WASTING ALLENS PRIME YEARS. That's all we did with Diggs. we surrounded him with subpar talent and it got us nowhere. You have a chance to load up the offensive roster. Freaking do it.
  11. Assests aren't always proven commodities. Id rather have a proven commodity and attempt another asset at 28 instead of thinking a guy at 60 is gonna be a sure thing. For every Torrence there is two Cody Fords.
  12. So the Bills can't restructure? Pretty sure they can. Allen also has a boatload of, of unused restructure if the Bills wanted to do this. I'm against kicking money down the road but with Allen I dont really care.
  13. Yes I do and I think the entire franchise does as well. Diggs signed that extension and did a bait and switch. Time will tell what truly irked him. 13 seconds. 2022 season collapse. Josh Allen. Coaching. Being in Buffalo. Maybe he is just nuts and can't do longer than a few season anywhere. Either way the Bills have loads of cap space moving forward and extra premium draft capital.
  14. Agreed. Aiyuk is going to cost a 2024 and 2025 second. Luckily for the Bills they'll have the Vikings 2nd which will likely fall in the 33 to 50 range. Even if the Niners demand the Vikings 2nd i still do this. To add Aiyuk and a receiver at 28 would catapult this offense to a new level. Next year blow your brains out on defense and adding a gaurd. Can only do so much in one off season and this is the best route in 2024 to Superbowl contention to me. Easily doable with 45 million coming off the books between Diggs and Von in 2025.
  15. Why not have both? You maximize that rookie recievers potential at #28 by not having him be the go to outside receiver day 1 and you ensure you have a high talent pro bowl receiver opposite of him while maximizing Allen's best years. Bills entire offense is cost controlled over the next 2 years. Now is the time to strike and get a younger NFL pro bowl level proven player for Josh Allen prime while also adding a high end talent receiver at 28. Bills can have both and they'd be smart to do it. Bills biggest failure with Diggs is they assumed Isiah Mckenzie and Davis would become something they weren't. Everything else about this Bills offense is great. Why not add Aiyuk or another proven NFL receiver and a stud at 28 and get this thing rolling? Yes we can...
  16. Yup. Why I would be ok with it. People aren't really grasping the amount of cap space this has opened up in 2025. If the Bills cut Von Miller post June 1st next year it opens up 17.5 million plus the 27 million they saved on trading Diggs. That is 44.5 million of cap savings! That doesn't factor in the cap rising. Further cuts. Cap restructures. To my knowledge we only have Spencer Brown and Rosseau to resign coming up that will be in the bigger range. Shakir, Kincaid, Torrence, Benford, Bernard are further down the line. With the extra high 2nd round pick in 2025 the Bills are absolutely in a place they can take a big swim on a high end 2nd contract guy. Doesn't even have to be a receiver. They could trade for a clear cut stud Dend if they wanted to. Bills entire roster is now cost controlled outside Von who they can comfortably walk away from next year. Bills need to add talent and swapping out a 31 year old decling receiver for a 26 year old in his prime receiver is in my opinion the definition of cost control.
  17. I'd be ok with this but I think Aiyuk is the more dynamic player while Metcalf is the more ESPN Monday morning highlight player.
  18. I know they didn't get a 2nd this year. You trade pick # 60 which is basically a 3rd and the Bills own 2nd next year which will fall in the 50 to 64 range. That Vikings pick they received has a good chance of being in the 33 to 50 range. It would amount to a trade of 31 year old Diggs, two late 2nds in the 2024 and 2025 draft plus a 6th 2024 and 5th 2025 pick for 26 year old Aiyuk and a early 2025 2nd round pick unless you think the Vikings are going to come on like gang busters. I dont and im happy all day every day with that trade.
  19. Hey if a 2nd is all it takes then sign me up. He just has a lot more value than Diggs so I struggle to see him on the move for just a 2nd.
  20. Because he's 26 and has 5 seasons of prime ball ahead of him. It would be the Diggs trade all over again only this time the Bills have Kincaid, Cook, Shakir, Samuel, Knox and a much better oline instead of Beasley, washed up Brown, Isiah Mckenzie and a rookie 4th rounder in Gabe Davis and Knox, Singletary, and pathetic oline.
  21. two 2nds for Aiyuk and draft a receiver at 28 and you might break the NFL.
  22. Not saying for sure id do this but on every mock draft simulator it shows the Bills based on the trade value charts could take a receiver at 28 and trade back into the 1st at 29 to 32 by trading the 60th and next years 1st. This would allow us to double dip at reciever and hedge our bets. Bills could also just take a reciever at 28 and 60. Polk and other interesting options could be around at 60. What I dont want to see happen is the Bills trade up and use this year first. next years first and this years second to do it. I want the Bills to walk away with two receivers this draft from the first 2 rounds.
  23. Not sure I completely agree. The mainstream media is what if is and of course there will be buzz words because it draws ratings from the casual fans. Guys like Nick Wright and Steven A Smith are NBA guys who sell talking points about the NFL because if you don't talk NFL you don't get the big money in American sports media. NFL media that focuses exclusively on the NFL are not saying anything negative about Josh Allen. What they're saying is McDermott is a defensive mind and his defenses are falling short in the playoffs and that Beane has done a piss poor job of surrounding Allen with elite talent outside of Diggs. I actually don't disagree with this. Chiefs this past year had a superior defense to any Bills defense the past 7 years. How is that? Every other major AFC contender has had superior offensive talent to the Bills. How is that? The one thing some mainstream media talk about that I dont agree with is the Bills window is closing. No its not. If Beane attacks offensive talent in this draft and doesn't mess around the Bills could be set up for their best offensive season yet under Allen.
  24. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39813751/everything-know-nfl-hybrid-kickoff-rule-change I am curious how people feel the new kick off rule will affect our draft? I was under the impression that the Bills go Receiver and DL with their first 2 picks and then load up on dl, db, and maybe a developmental interior OL, and RB after that. With these new rule changes I think the Bills top 2 picks remain the same but the Bills also look to add athletic LB, shifty reciever/kick returner, and of course more db picks than I was anticipating. Samuel will be a part of the return team and potentially Shakir but I think with how revolutionary the kick off will be this season the Bills will be forced to draft players who will excel in it. Am I wrong in thinking this? How does everyone else feel? I just feel it would be a waste to not double dip on reciever with at least 2 of your first 5 picks in such a deep receiver draft. Wish the LB in this draft were better.
  25. Guys let's not over think this. Beane is going receiver Round 1 unless he gets a haul of picks that allows him to trade back and take a top ranked receiver early in round 2. Hollins replaces Sherfield and Samuel replaces Hardy. Still no Gabe replacement on the roster. Beane isn't dumb. Bills accumulated multiple injuries last year and I believe a big part of it was because the Bills were scratching and clawing all season in every game due to the offense inability to put teams away early. The Bills lack of offensive talent was glaring and it became obvious when Gabe went down and we had to start Sherfield. The defense is what it is. They haven't been able to stop a nose bleed regardless of who the Bills have put out there. Beane has spent all this money on the dline and secondary and all its amounted to is Mahomes and Burrow marching up and down the field on the Bills in the playoffs. Well if the Bills are going to be marched on regardless why not try out young talent who typically stay healthier over the stretch of a long season and see if they can band together and play better come playoff time? Meanwhile on offense why not actually load it up and put pressure on other teams forcing their offenses to be one dimensional giving our defense easier looks? It is time we became a five threat offense. Good at running the ball. Good tight ends. Drafting one of these deep threat studs in Round 1 putting pressure on teams with the deep ball. Having Diggs, Samuel, Kincaid and Shakir for intermediate, short, and bubble routes. Then of course still have Josh Allen scrambling ability. Oline is finally not a bag of trash with the emergence of Torrence, Brown, and McGovern to go with Dawkins. Good things are coming. Bills offense is going to go to another level. Just need that deep threat round 1 receiver and another big body rb who doesn't fade down the stretch.
