  1. Just read this on NFL.com... The Bills finally have a reliable bell cow providing balance to the offense, and it’s a beautiful thing to watch. After racking up 98 yards on the ground in Sunday’s road win over Washington, Cook now has the most rush yards by a Bills player through the first three weeks of the season since 2012 (C.J. Spiller with 308). Nice to see. Didn't know that we'd gone over decade without that kind of production. I disagree with MJD's assertion that we have a "bell cow" back (maybe it's semantics, but I define "bell cow" as 20 to 25 rushes many games), but I think Cook is a good number-one back on this team who can rack up 12 to 16 carries a game and get good yardage and some catches. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-rb-index-week-4-one-running-back-i-promise-to-stop-underestimating
  2. Yes, I hope he believes in this model: Be a winner, take a decent salary but not the league's highest so the team can give him good players to work and win with. Then make a lot more in endorsements because you're a winner. Mahomes said he didn't need the league's highest salary because he wanted to help the team; but that was a lie, as evidenced by his new deal. We'll see where Josh ends up...
  3. For those who don't like to click on Twitter links: #Bills middle linebacker Terrel Bernard has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
  4. No sacks playing Washington's great D-line does not reveal our biggest problem. I"m with BadoldBillz and Gunner: we need another legit WR weapon before we need a right tackle.
  5. Good to see him get a lot of endorsements. Future free agents need to see Bills players getting big endorsements while in Buffalo..
  6. I know Stafford has no one to throw to but he looks old.
  7. Great film breakdown. Thanks for posting. He really does seem to have great instincts and maturity. Love on the 3rd and 22 how he tells Milano, the veteran star linebacker, to back up... I don't expect this kind of performance every week from a young player but perhaps the anxiety about the position (and Beane's drafting) wasn't entirely warranted. BTW, these 16-year-old Cover 1 kids offer more insight in a single video than I see in a year from the beat reporters. They're really good. I hope Erik makes some decent money doing this.
  8. The little QB, beat him like a rented mule. He falls hard — Phish lose.
  9. Super appreciated. I'd buy you a beer for this IRL. 🍻
  10. Haven't been this nervous about a Phins game since I can remember...
  11. I have little sympathy: The Bills were stuck in purgatory for 17 years.
  12. Can someone help me out and explain why — in this offense with Josh specifically — Josh is better under center, as Orlovsky says? 1. How is protection better? Dan says it calms Josh down a bit. 2. How does Josh read the field better? 3. How do the route running/concepts change and/or improve? Just trying to understand and specific examples help me. Thanks in advance. 🍻
  13. When Bernard got home tonight to see a trail of rose petals from the hallway to his bed, he wasn't that surprised. It's also rooted in athletic tradition going back thousands of years: A Time-Honored Tradition The tradition of awarding flowers to sports competition winners traces its roots back to ancient times. In ancient Greece, wreaths made from olive branches were presented to the victors of the Olympic Games. These wreaths, known as kotinos, symbolized honor and glory and were highly coveted by the athletes. As time passed, the practice of awarding flowers spread to various sports and cultures around the world. From the rose garlands bestowed upon champions in Roman sporting events to the bouquets of tulips given to victors in Dutch cycling races, flowers have become an integral part of the awards ceremony, adding a touch of natural beauty and elegance to the occasion. But I can see what people don't like the phrase. I find it rather quaint myself, especially in a tough-man's sport.
  14. If he and Cook continue roughly on this trajectory, the McBeane drafts don't look as bad as the many have assumed. Small sample size for Bernard but I'm hopeful he can be a top-15 MLB which, for the money, is all we need him to be. If he's simply average and not good or a liability, that's acceptable too but maybe he's a little more.
  15. Thanks. I watched this. A couple decent runs but nothing special overall. Aligns with my memory of him. I'll take Murray and/or Harris over Moss any Sunday.
  16. I've read for years a narrative that Moss was/is a bruiser. I don't remember seeing much evidence of him shedding tackles the way Murray or Harris do. Is there some highlight real of his that proves this? I remember him going north south for a few yards at a time but never consistently running through tackles. Also of note, I've read his weight is anything from 223 (drafted weight) to 205, what is posted now and what the Bills said he was for a long time. If you're a slow back and only 205 pounds, that's not the chocolate and peanut butter of hard, chain-moving running. Why take a back with no traits 88th overall? A head scratcher.
  17. Was listening to the Thursday One Bills Live show and Chris was on with Maddy (Tasker off)... Some caller had a 2 questions... one about what to do and not do in London and the second was "how are things with Maddy and Steff..." Brown immediately responded with an irritated tone "we're not going to go there..." and then talked London. So she's back in business but the organization doesn't want to discuss it.
  18. Good D-line may mean a lot of quick throws. Steff is a bit obvious so I'll go with Kincaid.
  19. I'm glad for this. It proves to Josh he can be recognized as "great "when he's surgical and efficient. I think every QB who's getting paid hundreds of millions wants to be recognized as great. The claim I read here that Josh was heard/recorded saying "I'm the best athlete in the world!" would support this. His hero ball is probably a manifestation of the desire to live up to the hype. So hopefully this is is positive reinforcement that high efficiency can be great too.
  20. Baby probably flew out of the snapper and evaded the doctors hands.
  21. Hmmm. That might be chess-level thinking there...
  22. That short interview actually endeared me to him a little... I hope he succeeds.
  23. I don't always end up naked and covered in human excrement in construction holes, but when I do, I do it in Buffalo.
  24. Anyone with PFF access able to share how Torrence is ranking? And Brown's single-game rating for the Raiders game? Cheers.
  25. For mature Bills fans this is non-news. For petty fans like me, this is one more reason to hate the Chiefs: their first-ballot HOF TE/cave man is dating the world's biggest pop star.
