  1. Miller's contact now looking (post injury; he looked great last year and many of us thought he'd be a very good player for three years) really bad: Dead cap: 2024: $32,501,000 2025: $15,417,000 2026: $9,043,000 Yikes. Looks like we're stuck with Von for at least two more years after this. Let's hope he keeps getting better in his recovery and can still be an impact player. Not saying he will, but that's the hope. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/von-miller-7717/
  2. No pass rush. No run game. No Gabe Davis (i.e. another consistent receiving threat besides Diggs and a rookie TE) and no chance.
  3. Dallas snatched defeat from the jaws of victory here.
  4. Worst 1 pm lineup of games I can remember.
  5. If we beat the Chiefs and end the season with the same record, head-to-head is the first tiebreaker, right? Tall order but you never know.
  6. I see cornerbacks arm-bar WRs and grab and hold jerseys all the time — but the consistency with the calls is not there. Make it consistent. There's way too much variance — both within the same games and across the entire league. The league wants higher scoring, so be it. Just don't call PI on one team and not the other for the same general defensive play. Ideally, implement a standard every game is close to maintaining for defensive PI and I'll be a lot happier. And so, I think, would most fans.
  7. Can we find the NFL scheduler and throw him a blanket party?
  8. Defer always. But the Bills should "differ" from their last performance and plan vs. Cincy.
  9. Thanks for sharing. These Cover 1 breakdowns are the best. Douglas is a very smart player and a playmaker. Love that we got him.
  10. Never connected the dots. Thanks for doing so. I certainly hope the Bills are more tougher, meaner and more intimidating to other teams now.
  11. If Purdy hasn't exactly been "exposed" he's certainly quite limited. And despite any perceived arrogance, I still root for the 49ers over many teams. If any AFC team besides the Bills makes the SuperBowl, except maybe for the Lions, I think I'll root for San Fran.
  12. 22-year-old with first-round traits may improve and fit the system over time. He may not, but it's ridiculous to try to assert with certainty that he can't be better and a starter in a year or two.
  13. Not blindly trusting anything or anyone. It's just one more small piece of news for people to digest. Most people, including myself, will for our own opinions after watching him play in our system for a few games. I will hope and try to trust that McBeane know how to evaluate veteran corners, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
  14. From PFF, week 8 rankings: "A new name atop the rankings: Rasul Douglas continues to grade highly and prevent separation. He allowed a touchdown on a pick route against the Broncos in Week 7 but was excellent otherwise, making a pass stop and allowing just two catches for 11 yards." https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-8-cornerback-rankings-2023
  15. He ran a 4.32 at the combine... "Jackson has translated his exceptional speed into a successful collegiate career in track and football. He won state high school titles in the 100 and 200 meters, and joined the Tigers' track squad to race in the 60 and 100-meters and win conference titles in the 4x100 relay." If he has good instincts, it would be nice to have a CB who's faster than Benford.
  16. I think a younger Diggs might now have wanted to play with another number 1 guy like Adams, but Diggs has lost enough in the playoffs (him hanging out on the field after the loss to the Chiefs, for example) and his career is winding down. I really think he'd welcome the chance to add Adams and have a bette shot at a ring.
  17. Really like the catching element (and hard running after the catch) he brings to the table. BTW, I heard that in college Cook was a great receiving back. Is my memory that poor or had Cook not caught that many passes this year? What happened to that?
  18. It's unfair to compare our current linebacker situation now, with Milano injured, to what we had with Edmunds and Milano playing. Bernard has made more splash plays in half a season than Edmunds makes in multiple full seasons. For their respective salaries, I'll take Bernard all day and twice on Sundays. BTW: Individually, Bernard has had a standout performance in his first eight games, racking up two sacks, two interceptions and three fumble recoveries. No other player in football has multiple sacks, interceptions and fumble recoveries. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/five-bills-players-making-an-impact-kincaid-diggs-floyd-bernard-cook When was the last time Edmunds did anything close to that?
  19. Their passing game is pretty anemic. If we lose to them, it will be embarrassing. The Chiefs somehow turned it over 5 times today. If they even had just 2 or 3 turnovers, as opposed to 5, I don't think the Broncos win. 5 turnovers from a great offensive team is an anomaly.
  20. So sweet to see the Chiefs lose. And sweeter still to a crap team. Not too often you'll see a team beat the Chiefs with just 114 yards passing...
  21. Love the Chiefs implosion! And the turnovers for Mahomes!
  22. Isn't there a How Not To Lose Games In The Last 13 to 20 Seconds Summit McD can attend in the off-season?
  23. Hill is a far more detestable human being than any Patriot.
  24. Benford ballin'
