  1. Seems reasonable but keep in mind the odds are not based on what they think will actually happen necessarily but how they want to get the right mix of betting money the public. So odds reflect how they think the public feels which may not be exactly the same as true scientific odds to actually win. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's how it works.
  2. Even after his renegotiated contract it seems that Knox is due $14 million in 2025 and $17 million in 2026. That doesn't seem tenable for a number 2 TE. So thinking who might replace him as the number 2 next year is a valid question. https://overthecap.com/player/dawson-knox/7887
  3. I just new him for his football career and civil rights activism. Looking further, I see the assault allegations. Did not know that. If true, it certainly tarnishes his life. I don't know enough to say if true or not.
  4. Not sure if that's Diggs chewing out Stroud. Yet.
  5. I'd live to find a way to keep Davidson as well. He's had an eye-opening camp, is 6'7", athletic and relatively young. I haven't followed Gilliam's role on ST but I'd be happy with that move.
  6. Based on camp reports thus far, I'll guess (for now): 1000 to 1,200 Kincaid; 900 to 1,000 Shakir; Samuel around 800; and Coleman maybe 450. The others should combine to push Josh a little over 4,000 total.
  7. Didn't know about the escalating contracts for those guys. Seems like Miami will be in trouble. Which I like. At any rate, a 30 and under Tyreek didn't cause us too much trouble with the Phins so I'm not afraid of a 31 and aging Tyreek with the Phins. On KC, it's a far different story, but not the Phins.
  8. Difference is ALL the guaranteed money accelerates to the year a player is cut/traded. And Hills is guaranteed $105 million over four years.I think he'll be great this year, maybe year two but doubt he'll be anywhere close to good value in year three. If the guaranteed money is pro-rated that will be over $50 million at the start of year three. A lot more than the Diggs hit. Maybe Hill will be an outlier as a speed WR and still be elite at 33 or even 34. We'll see. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/dolphins-restructure-tyreek-hill-s-contract-to-include-record-in-guaranteed-money/ar-AA1obt5B
  9. Camp reports, and especially Joe Marino's take, say Josh is looking in command in dialed in during camp. He's also having a ton of fun. The whole team is. Marino said, I believe, it's like a cloud lifted off of the offense. It may not translate to winning the division but I believe Josh now being top dog on this offense and not feeling pressure to feed any one player is good for his development (and he's already elite, to be clear). Some might counter "look how much fun Josh will have when the regular season losses pile up" but I'm not convinced that's a certainty. I think Kincaid, Shakir and Samuel will do better than some people think as the top three. And Coleman will contribute as well. A lot will fall on Josh and Brady but I think they're up to the task.
  10. The Diggs extension was a mistake, yes. And the hit is egregious. But he's off the team (some will say good; many will say bad) this season and off the books after this season. It still doesn't make paying 34-year-old Hill top dollar a smart move.
  11. Love the positive reports about Elam. People wanted to dump last year for a low-round pick. Ridiculous. The kid just turned 23 THIS MAY. He's a kid and learning and growing. Also love the Keon highlights. His detractors (and they exist) will say it's only camp. Can't wait for him to do it in the regular season. Not saying he's gonna be an all pro but I think he could be an excellent possession/red zone WR.
  12. He's a great WR (POS human) but I'm willing to bet Tyreek won't be $106.5 million guaranteed good beyond a couple years. Maybe I'll be wrong. But Miami is betting a ton of money against history. I hope they've made a huge overspend.
  13. If you think Bills fans hated the Von deal, this will turn into something similar soon enough.
  14. Yes, that "everyone is selfless this year" comment was big. Also love how he talks about Buffalo fan support and is amazed by the turnout midweek as he knows people have jobs and all that. He says that support makes it more fun to practice. I want more players like that on this team, not players throwing up money in front of a camera or constantly looking for attention on social media.
  15. Great answer from Josh about renegotiating his own deal: "That time will come when it comes. Just gotta go win football games."
  16. Joe Marino talking about practice today made a lot of noteworthy points including Shakir is looking great, Keon has a lot of "moments" and is winning "a whole lot more than he's not" in contested catches.. But this stood out especially for me: "The Diggs piece of this conversation is so worthwhile to mention. Diggs is a great player. But you're lying to yourself if you don't feel a different vibe around this football team and a different freedom that they have to operate.... It feels like there's a heaviness lifted off of this offense." I loved hearing that. I'm sure a few will remind me pre-season means nothing and we'll miss Diggs dearly when the real games start. See 28:50 for my quoted piece. p.s. listening more, a person behind Joe Marino in the stands had some heat-related issue and the fans called over the Bills training staff. After a while — with no one apparently saying anything to Terry or Josh — but the team owner and our franchise QB came over to the stands to check in on the fan and talk to him. Goddamn I love this team.
  17. The big stat will be dollars when Cook is a free agent. Unless they get him for a steal, let him go and ride out Davis for another three years. Then let him go and that's the RB cycle we should follow when we have to pay a franchise QB, top edge rushers (I'm assuming in the future) and WRs (ditto).
  18. My comment relates only to the first stat posted: Bills have not lost by more than 6 points in their past 40 games, which is now an NFL record and counting. This single stat does not co-relate necessarily to being dominant. Other Bills stats may prove they are dominant.
  19. Excellent stat though I take exception to "consistently dominant." That stat shows we are consistently very good and/or competitive. Dominating teams involves winning by a large margin or consistently beating the same team over and over. The Bills may be dominant with some teams but a) this stat doesn't show that and b) it doesn't apply to the entire league.
  20. You don't view the locker room situation after the Jets game, week 1, as evidence of anything? https://nypost.com/2024/04/05/sports/josh-allen-snapped-at-stefon-diggs-after-season-opening-loss/
  21. Like a lot of Astro's report but not this: "There is a fumble on the snap, and it’s time to start worrying about the situation at Center. Connor McGovern is looking sheepish right now, knowing that Van Pran-Granger can’t be too far away."
  22. I'm cautiously optimistic. Beasley and Diggs (and Brown, I believe) all had their career-best years with Allen. I'm hoping he can elevate Samuel and the others guys. We'll know in several weeks.
  23. It's a shame Keon's camp highlights aren't against NFL defenders, however; many people here told us his success in college won't be replicated against NFL players.
