  1. Anything's a possibility but it all hinges on how the draft plays out and Beane's board. You don't necessarily go into a draft saying, "We need four second-rounders," because you don't know who will be there and who will be gone when the Bills' first-round pick comes up. It's a possibility later on, not a must-do right now.
  2. I'd love the Bills to take a chance on mid-round size/speed guy who is still developing. Horton just gobbles up the turf with those long strides. Looks like a better route runner than Dont'e Thornton who is even bigger and faster and a good blocker but doesn't seem to have much of a route tree — yet. I'd love to take a chance on either guy. We burned a 3rd round pick last year on a backup DT; take a chance on a WR with size and speed this year.
  3. Ok, this should get some flames: I think Cook is relatively easy to replace and last year was his career year — he's not gonna get close to 16 TDs ever again. He's good, just not great and if he leaves, no big deal.
  4. The cost would be nuts.
  5. Not sure a guy turning 32 around week 6 will not hit the wall that Poyer crashed into...
  6. I wanted to stay in one of my exes but we don't always get what we want...
  7. Thanks, but sorry, I don't get the second part: I believe he just gets paid based on how many games he's played. Paid according to his rookie deal, but prorated? So if cut before the season he's no longer earning his rookie deal but if cut after the season starts he has to earn his rookie deal numbers? That sounds confusing but I probably have it wrong. Thanks!
  8. Do you still take on that salary if he's released? Not for a vet. Are rookies handled differently according to the CBA?
  9. My hope: 1. DT 2. Edge 3. CB2 4. Speed WR The rest is depth and we can find cheap depth in unsigned guys.
  10. Is it a priority? No. Am I upset they've banned a gesture associated with street gangs? No.
  11. He looked finished as a difference maker in the second half of his last year with us. But at least he's had over a year to tear to age and get injured. I'm sure he'll be worth every penny.
  12. Because of the KC SB loss this year, I had totally dismissed their three-in-a-row-and-counting... Well, if that's not a fun thought to start a day, what is.
  13. That's not what I said or what Bosa said. He still believes he has talent and makes a difference on the field. He knows time is running out on his career and he wants to win. Will he stay healthy and make a difference? Who knows. But I bet the games he does play — however many or few they are — he helps our pass rush a lot. If he's a good teammate that's all I care about. We'll see if he's that or a lockerroom cancer soon enough...
  14. Maybe it's an act (I don't think so) but Bosa's presser with the Bills showed him to be a humble guy who wants to contribute and win. He acknowledges he's getting old (not many guys at 29 say that) and that he's not the difference that will put this team over the top but he wants to be part of this team and win it all. I'm rooting for him. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/joey-bosa-s-first-press-conference-as-a-buffalo-bill-unbelievable-fanbase
  15. I'm sure if Diggs is ever considered they ask Josh before even investigating a deal. You don't commit a quarter of a billion of new money to your league MVP QB. and then let some old diva with a dramatic history come back without running by your QB first. I suspect Josh is happier without Diggs. Diggs acted like the leader when he was here and Josh was quieter. Josh is now the leader and probably likes the drama-free atmosphere 1000% more without Diggs. If Diggs were 27, it might be a question but not at his age.
  16. I love what Josh told Bosa: Bosa: “I think we have a chance to do something special and Josh texted me that if we do what we set out to do, we could really be immortalized in this town,” Bosa said. “That’s what it’s all about is winning a championship and that’s, I think, why people are here.” And I'm a fan of Bosa's self-awareness that he's getting old and wants to win a championship. https://buffalonews.com/sports/professional/nfl/bills/article_c9883ca0-0048-11f0-b247-4f2439e339b3.html
  17. Still need a 1-tech, CB2, speed WR but all of these might still come in FA and/or the draft. Feeling a little better about the team but the roster build is far from over.
  18. I'm not sure they want him to play the 1 tech starter. I'm guessing he rotates with Oliver and maybe plays with him on 3rd and long or something like that. But I'd be shocked if a 305 lb guy is the full-time 1 tech.
  19. I expect him to be on some load-management plan. So expect to see AJ or a rookie taking a chunk of snaps still. No need to play him hard in games that don't matter.
  20. He literally talked about accountability and discipline, how winning is the number one goal, and about not being selfish when he came back from injury and the team was winning and doing better. Not sure where the negative takes on this come from. I suspect some people comment without watching the whole video, or maybe even any of it.
  21. Sorry, I wasn't clear: Marino's numbers were $10 million total for 2 years, not average per year. Or at least that's how I took it. The good news: his win rate against man coverage is top 5. 10th best win-rate against zone. Top-10 in both outside and zone for both. But he plays mostly outside.
  22. Marino got this half right: the player. But half very, very wrong: the price. He projected a "bargain" signing of two years at $10 million. If the headlines are true, Joe predicted less than 42% of the actual salary. I hope some of the 36 million is incentive based.
  23. So players released before March 10 can sign before free agency? I assume that's it. Thanks! 🍻
  24. Dumb question but how is this allowed before the official start of FA?
