  1. He's learned not to go up 5 on the Chiefs late in the game — and that Josh has a better chance of converting fourth and short than the Buffalo D has of stopped the Chiefs get a TD with a couple minutes left. I applaud him for that. Aggressive, as it's been pointed out, counts for more than just 4th down offensive decisions. The Bills upped their man coverage % against the Chiefs so that's another "aggressive" decision that doesn't get a lot of talk. I hope, where it makes sense, we play aggressive D. Especially in the playoffs. So far, this season, so good...
  2. Shakir is pretty damn good and will set the Bills' record for slot yards in a season (and don't say it's because it's a 17-game season as he already missed a game. Also... "The Bills’ slot receiver ranks No. 2 in the NFL in yards after the catch with 462, behind only Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase, who has 489, according to Pro Football Focus."
  3. Such great words from Fitz. Choked me up a bit...
  4. I'm pretty sure we're better off with this years WRs (Cooper, Shakir, Coleman, Samuel) than last year's WRs (Diggs, Davis, Shakir, Sherfield). I'm pretty sure the Bills don't need and I don't miss Diggs' thinly veiled petulance and constant drama. I'm pretty sure Cooper and Samuel and the current guys are far more team oriented than Steph was or will ever be. I'm pretty sure Josh has grown into the bona fide leader now that Steph is gone and he doesn't have to worry about feeding an aging diva who doesn't produce in the playoffs.
  5. I'd like O-line depth/future starter, a speed outside WR as depth/future starter/possible starter if we don't resign Cooper, and another RB as I don't want to pay Cook what the market will command. On D, CB, edge rusher, 1 tech. Maybe safety. Whatever's best value where we are.
  6. These three guys are a priority of a Cook — a good player and has developed as more than a quick outside runner — but backs are far easier to replace.
  7. Did NOT wear my Bruce Smith jersey which I've worn in the past for Bills games with friends. I think it has bad juju and is tainted by the 4 SB losses. This is a new team not the great but flawed 90s team that couldn't win it all. I don't think I'll wear it on game day until we win the big one.
  8. Rex Ryan: "44% of the time he runs as a ball carrier he's run for first downs. There's no player in the history of the National Football League that can say that. Only Josh Allen." Did not know that. Yet another incredible stat. Gives more context to Rex's comments about "best football player."
  9. Apologies if already stated here (I've read a fair bit but not all of this thread) but Von is choked up in the post-game conference. Perhaps compounded not only by the win but by passing his idol Derrick Thomas in the career sack list. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/von-miller-proud-of-my-team
  10. Good to see he was very humble and team oriented in the post-game presser, saying "watch out when everyone comes back..." Not every WR (cough, Steph, cough) would have that attitude of team first when the season hasn't gone their way after so many games. Hopefully Brady can use him a lot more and we've got some WR depth going forward.
  11. I told myself this game didn't mean anything, even if we won, but I was wrong. Eric Wood said, and I agree, it gives the Bills a little more confidence when we meet them in the playoffs. Yes, we've won the past three years in the regular season but don't tell me that losing in the regular season to the Chiefs is the answer to beating them in the playoffs. I'm so happy I'm gonna get drunk on a Sunday night and celebrate with the good ladies of Xhamster!
  12. With Kincaid and Coleman out and Cooper playing hurt, I really didn't expect any offense. Was surprised and delighted by Samuel's contribution today — we don't win it without him.
  13. I'd love the Bills to win, but not feeling good with some weapons missing. 27 - 20 KC. I'd love to be wrong.
  14. I think he's embraced — and seized — being the leader after the departure of Steph. I think Steph acted like the alpha when he was here and Josh wasn't, at the time, comfortable asserting himself as the absolute leader. Maybe it's a coincidence but if Steph leaving aided Josh in becoming a more mature leader that was worth the cost of the dead cap.
  15. I don't think anyone's untouchable — for the right price. But guys to build around include Rousseau, Taron, Shakir, Bernard, Benford, hopefully Kincaid and Coleman (if they progress and become who they hope they will be). But there's not a single "untouchable" guy on this team outside of Allen.
