Goodell: Looking to have an 18-game regular season.
Gilberto replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The pre-season is really for those guys on the fringes that are trying to make the team. I don't think they should get rid of it entirely as the coaches need to evaluate the guys trying to make the roster. Also 18 weeks, with 2 bye weeks seems pretty reasonable. -

You must be new around here lol... this is how they are. No gratitude, only criticism. I think people come here to rant and rave. I come here for the entertainment of watching them rant and rave. And then I just watch the game and accept that I am a fan and cannot control the outcome. I sleep well at night.

I completely agree with this. For all the criticism of the Bills defense yesterday (and most of it valid), Miami played a great game on offense. They executed and made key plays at the right moments and minimized penalties and mistakes. I feel like people on this forum expect every singly opposing team drive to end in a 3-and-out or a turnover, and if that isn't the case then the defense is criticized. This simply is not realistic. We WON lol!! The defense did ENOUGH to win. period.

I was at the heat stroke game last year and it was unreal the # of Bills fans. Kinda fun to hear so much cheering when the away team scores. I can only imagine yesterday was even more than that.

I agree with the OP in general and wanted to add a few points. First, it’s a bit unrealistic to say that BUF has lacked talent on the roster for years. Making the playoffs 4/5 years? That’s not an easy feat! I believe there is a recency bias as to judging the team right now, and rightfully so, I am also disappointed. However some perspective is needed to see the consistent success this team has had. I think the Cincinnati game exposed a schematic flaw in both our offense and defense. What was baffling to me was that the coaches didn’t appear to make any adjustments! They just basically moved the ball at will, as we made no apparent adjustments to their offense. I don’t understand this at all. It may have been a “bad day” as far as we didn’t get any lucky bounces, but I think the coaching was a bit flawed. When the season began and the Bills were Super Bowl favorites, I was legit concerned. Winning a superbowl has a very low probability, as 31 NFL teams can confirm every year. And we as a fan base had this “Super Bowl or bust “ mentality, which I think the players fed into as well. We set ourselves up for the disappointment and heartbreak we experienced on Sunday. I don’t know how/when this team can get over the playoff hump, but I am confident that the management, coaches and players will do their best. I expect more off-season moves to try to reach this goal. Some people will criticize them, some people will love them, but the stadium will still be packed and we will have hope again in September, because we aren’t fair weather fans, we support our team no matter how terrible or great they are.

This thread is all speculation. Nobody here knows JA’s situation except him and the team. As for his recent performances, I think the expectations are a bit unrealistic. If JA doesn’t throw for over 300 and 4 tds something is wrong with him. This is the NFL dude, not madden. The Bills are winning. Enjoy it. And everything will work itself out. Go Bills

Teams need spectacular plays to beat us by 3
Gilberto replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember last year at one point we were 7-6 and the crowd here was calling to sell the team. Fast forward to “the perfect game” in the playoffs vs NE and all was forgotten. Chill people, this is life, things are unpredictable and every team is capable of winning at any given time. The Bills are not as bad as you think. I believe everyone who is very upset about this loss needs to take a 3 day break from Bills media. It will help immensely to see the big picture
