Now, somebody in Pegulaville tell Kevyn Adams that it is actually possible for a good player to choose Buffalo over palm trees if the product on the field/ice is good! And if the Benjamin’s add up!! Now, hopefully every signing from here on out is on the other side of the ball

He’d be a good “tush pusher”!!!

I wouldn’t lay this all on him. Our general lack of a deep threat and the fact that the defenses get better the further you go in the playoffs are a bigger factor. Defenses basically have taken away his running game and our OC’s haven’t adjusted well at all. Look no further than 1-4 on the rush push. Bottom line, our defense gets worse and opposing defenses get better. This is overall a personnel and coaching issue

Is this a rhetorical question?

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
henry jones replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am definitely not laying this all on the refs. We were out coached in every phase of the game. But even with the shortcomings this team has with the idiot coaching staff, the boys played hard enough and well enough to win. With that being said, that 4th down play just about nailed our coffin. We were up by 1 and driving. We likely get at least a FG out of that drive if not a TD. Plus take time off the clock and rest our defense. And if we put up 7 points there, the entire outlook changes. The ref on our sideline blew the spot on Kincaid’s catch. Then the same ref and the one on the KC sideline didn’t flag Chris Jones for being way the hell Offside on the 4th down play. Hell he was already grabbing JA by the time he fully had the ball in his hands. And then obviously they all blew the spot. Sure, we had opportunities to still win it after that. But it’s always a different ballgame when you’re playing catch up than with the lead. Especially on the road in the playoffs. I’m even more pissed at McDermott for not blowing a gasket (which he obviously never does and is part of the reason why we’ll never win with him). Even if he gets flagged. I mean so what. We already lost all of the momentum. Try swinging it back our way by ripping them a new #######. It may even fire up our lackluster defense. It sure as hell would’ve given the stripes something to think about down the stretch. Rant over. This is another tough loss to swallow!! 😀 -
This is rare but I agree with this analysis

Very true... We probably STILL would've picked Elam -

Side note from the same article from above.... In comments section of that article it was mentioned how KC traded up ahead of Beane to draft McDuffie and then we ended up with Elam. Our front office always getting bamboozled by KC -

Not only that, but a toss sweep to the short side of the field, into a bunch formation, against a sideline to sideline defense -
In all fairness, Vrabel never had a quarterback. You put JA on those teams and they would beat KC simply because of his defensive approach. I'd take Vrabel in a heartbeat over McDipshit.

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....
henry jones replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, this one is definitely on Brady. I realize KC isn't using the "push" anymore because of Mahomes' injury a few years ago, but I absolutely guarantee that Andy Reid would have multiple variations. All KC did was put Chris Jones in the way and slant in that direction. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that you should probably try something else. -
He's a one trick pony and his tricks are wearing out. Don't pay him

Definitely a defense heavy draft. Hamlin & Elam cannot be on this roster next year. Milano didn't look great since his return and Bernard wasn't anywhere near as good as he was last year. So maybe another LB? Most importantly, replace the entire D-Line. Need to get bigger and meaner. WR is a need but I'd argue that Brady is part of the problem. Need to figure out how to scheme these guys open. Sure, we don't have receivers that can separate as most teams, but aside from Worthy and his speed, what did KC have at receiver? And they are ALWAYS wide open.

In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion
henry jones replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Definitely not worse, but it definitely hurts more. Though, having the same defensive issues year in, year out and doing little to fix it isn't much different than missing the playoffs year in, year out. -
Agreed. Not to mention the other teams with high end QB talent in the AFC. Gonna be tough to even get back to a championship game
-
Stupid post… this is on Brady. He was severely outcoached by Spagnuolo. Name me another QB that would’ve outperformed Josh tonight with the sh$t game plan he was given
-
Unfortunately I don’t see JA ever making it to the Super Bowl. He will forever be sabotaged by poor defensive scheming & poor defensive personnel. Sure, our offense wasn’t their usual self tonight, but McDipshits defenses always underperform in meaningful games. Josh literally has to score on every possession for them to have a fighting chance

At least we signed Mike Edwards for just these situations…. Oh wait?!?!

Part 2- Another disaster by McDs defense in the playoffs
henry jones replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree to all of this. The defense has been patchwork all year and has been a major liability down the stretch. As much as I lay blame on McDermott and his philosophy, the personnel is ultimately the issue. Way too small in the front 7. CB’s haven’t been great in man coverage. Safeties have been awful. It’s a literal miracle we’ve made it this far with this defense. Just all the more reason why JA should be the MVP. Take him off this team and we win maybe 4 games
