Interesting Buffalo News article on Dawkins
BillsDad51 replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. He weighed 370 in off-season before losing 40 pounds by July. -
I, too, have been a fan since the '60s. I've never enjoyed being a Bills fan more than the last 5 years. Even the 13 seconds and the Cincy beat down can't take away the joy from watching Allen play. I can't let reports or rumors about how he trains, eats or conducts himself detract from that feeling.

The Bills will have the highest scoring NFL offense in '23
BillsDad51 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
The pundits only see bright and shiny objects. "Ooh, the Dolphins signed Jalen Ramsey. Ooh, the Dolphins have Vic Fangio. Ooh, the Jets signed Rodgers and Cook. They're much better." Meanwhile, the Bills upgraded their o-line, added players to take heat off Diggs and put more variety in their scheme. And PS: last time Diggs went up against Ramsey, he took him to school. Ditto on Allen vs. Fangio's defense. Oh, and Ramsey starts the season on IR for 4 games. -

Good point. -
Conor Orr (from Si.com) and his prediction: Bills at 9-8 🤔

Part of Orr's reasoning is Bills' pass rush is dependent on Von. I'm hoping Rousseau, Floyd & Co. will prove him wrong. -

Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?

Cards just traded one of those tackles to Houston. Have a nice day. -
Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?
BillsDad51 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fact: A surplus of tackles. Whether or not they want to trade them is conjecture. Maybe they like going 4-5 deep at OT. Maybe they want to see if they can get a draft pick or a player at a position of need. All I did was relate what Gaughan reported. You chose to nitpick what I related. Get a life. -
Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?

I just dealt with the facts as related by Gaughan. The part you cited was his opinion, which, as know, are plentiful on this board. -
Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?
BillsDad51 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
AJ. .. 6.5 sacks, plus some other disruptive plays that don't show up on stat sheet while playing as a backup. Ralonzo made a good point about Basham. I would not want to trade either. Plus AJ might not be attractive to another team cause his rookie deal is ending. Maybe Bills just ride it out with Van Demark and Anderson. I just don't think they'll find a stud backup OT after cuts unless they pay a heavy price. Who knows, maybe Van Demark, Anderson or Gourage could be our next Wyatt Teller waiting in the wings. -
Van Demark, a "Model" Fit for the Bills OL?

If Basham is on the verge of a breakthru season, would not want to see that deal. Given lack of quality OT's throughout the league, I think a deal for a backup OT at this point is wishful thinking. -

Buffalo News Mark Gaughan says Arizona has surplus of OT's. Josh Jones, a 2020 3rd rounder and Kelvin Beachum, an 11-year starter. Basham trade? -
The Ringer ranking of Receiver Cores - Opinions???
BillsDad51 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Their comment on Kincaid seems a little off. I don't think he'll be required to block defensive ends much. He'll be on the field as a receiver in 12 personnel groups. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
BillsDad51 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for the write-up, Gunner. Appreciate it. I did see Spector stop an Indy run play stone dead on a 3rd and 1 (I think in 4th quarter.) On next play, Ingram blew up a run to turn the ball over on downs. -
To clarify: I know Josh has worked out on his own with teammates in previous years. I hadn't seen any reports of him doing it this year.

Nice article about Davis in today's Buffalo News. Details his offseason workouts. One surprise nugget at end: Prior to training camp, he want to California to work out with Josh, Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley. Also in attendance were Damien Harris, Sherfield and Shakir. First I've heard of Allen working out on his own with offensive mates.

Good point. Maybe it's not Brown. Maybe Groot is going to have a monster season.

Hines not perfect fielding kicks. Muffed a punt vs. Dolphins. Dodson recovered for Bills. Misjudged another punt and was fortunate to catch it as it hit him in the face mask as he was falling backwards around the 5. Unable to field a bouncing kickoff...fortunately it tumbled into end zone and he downed it there.

According to NY Post (via PFT) Keyshawn signed multi-year $18 million contract last year. He gets paid anyway despite layoff. Who at ESPN negotiated that kind of deal?

Speaking of media, here's exhibit A of a lazy, bad trend.
BillsDad51 replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great post. I seriously wonder if a legitimate source "close to the Bills locker room" would talk to a Boston Globe reporter and not to any local reporters. The truth is, teams keep a tight lid on info. Reporters used to be able to walk through a team facility, talk to trainers, equipment managers and other insiders without a team media official listening in. Access is tightly controlled. And other outlets jumping on a single source story from the Globe is BS. -
OTA's skedded June 5, 6 and 8. Mandatory minicamp June 13-15.

Per PFT and the Athletic, Rodgers injury occurred in pre-practice conditioning drill and he sat out rest of session.
