  1. Gunner, your thoughts on Trubisky are spot on. Watching last night with my son, I said Mitch was good in preseason for the Bills in '21. Some thing happened to him in Pitt. He's playing scared.
  2. Joe B.'s list has 9 draft picks making the cut: Coleman, Bishop, Van Pran, Carter, Solomon, Hardy, Grable, Davis and Ulofashio. If this holds, Bills getting a lot younger.
  3. Don't know how refs didn't call PI on Kohou on Bills 1st drive. He had his arms wrapped around Knox at goal line before pass arrived. Josh threw a pick on next play.
  4. Javon Solomon is only player listed as EDGE on the roster. Not making a big deal out of it, but it is a little curious.
  5. Thanks for the post, and for assembling the stats. You did what the lazy ESPN or NFL NETWORK or whatever "reporter" failed to do. Get a clear unbiased look at ALL the numbers. That's what is wrong with most "reporting" these days. Start with an assumption, then cook the numbers to back it up.
  6. Side note: watched last season's 2nd Bills-Jets game last night (needed a Bills fix). Sauce Gardiner holds or makes illegal contact on every single play. He's as bad as Dolphins' Kohou, who does get flagged.
  7. Dec. 20, 1980. Jets vs. Dolphins. NBC tried it to boost ratings for two teams out of playoff contention.
  8. Agree. I think Beane & Co. liked Teller but had no room for him on active roster. Rather than put him on practice squad, and have another team poach him, they opted for a 6th (?) Rounder from the Browns.
  9. I'm hopeful about new additions too. But I was hopeful about Sherfield and Harty at this time last year. Here's to a better result this season.
  10. Not a bad alternative, especially if Cook's dropsies and fumbles become an issue.
  11. If 5 members of this year's draft class make the roster, that's 5 cost-controlled contracts for 4 years. With the draft capital for 2025, Beane can continue to make the roster younger and stronger. I know people are tired of hearing "wait til next year," but the reload is off to a great start.
  12. Randy Mueller said last week that only 150 players are worth drafting this year. If that's true, the latter half of fifth round picks are worthless. Beane may be trying to trade up, but maybe no one is willing to swap a 4th for some 5th rounders.
  13. Buffalo News reports Beane already receiving calls last night about pick #33. Be interesting to see what develops.
  14. I wouldn't mind that draft. I think we need another RB. Zinter a good get.
  15. Definitely DT. So Bills don't have to hit the free agent market for one next offseason.
  16. My guess ... draft route. Don't know if Bills want to hand out a big contract to Aiyuk or Higgins when they can hopefully get a good rookie for 4 years on the cheap. But stay tuned, who knows what lurks in the mind of Beane.
  17. McConkey's numbers from Georgia pro day per The Athletic: Georgia’s event this year was highlighted by standout WR Ladd McConkey’s agility scores. McConkey ran a reported 3.97-second short shuttle with a 6.72 three-cone. Both are elite times, particularly the short shuttle, which would have been the top time across all positions at this year’s combine. McConkey’s tape shows his terrific short-area quicks. It also shows that he has great speed, which he confirmed with a 4.39 40 at the combine.
  18. Just speculating ... wonder if this is related to the report a few weeks ago that he filed for divorce, then vehemently denied it, even though the papers were filed. Wonder if his lawyers told him he'd owe the wife a stack of money if he divorced her without a pre-nup, prompting the denial. This latest incident appears to be the result of her refusing a sign a post-nup.
  19. Townsend a UFA at start of league year.
  20. Joe Buscaglia had this to say about Brown in his review of the Chiefs game: "ever since the Bills returned from their bye week, Brown has been the best player of the starting five and one of their best players, period. He put together another impressive performance against the Chiefs, controlling his one-on-ones and proving to be a force as a run blocker. Since the bye week, Brown carried a 3.29 GPA over the final seven games. He went from having the lowest season GPA of the offensive line at 2.67, to passing left guard Connor McGovern and nearly passing both right guard O’Cyrus Torrence and center Mitch Morse for the year with the post-bye stretch. With how he finished the season, he’s a clear building block for the offensive line moving forward and should he have a good beginning in 2024, he likely will be a consideration for a long-term extension by the team." 21. Three of TBD's favorite whipping boys, Harty, Sherfield and Rapp, made critical plays for the Bills. Plus Spector's pinch-hit for Dodson. Good for them. Good for us.
  22. Post was a subtle attempt at humor.
  23. Bills have kept him under the radar. They'll spring him on Miami in week 18.
