  1. The kid on you tube is shocked that the fan was able to bring a gun into stadium, that is funny. In 1972 there was no security at the entrance gate it was a different era. The ticket takers were there to prevent fans without tickets from entering. The biggest controversy when Rich stadium opened was that fans were no longer allowed to bring in their own booze. Can you imagine Ralph Wilson’s greed at making fans buy overpriced beer in the stadium. Handguns required a permit in NY in 1972 just like today, and carrying a pistol without one was a felony. A felony arrest would not result in a $25 fine even accounting for inflation. This guy was most likely drunk, relatively harmless, but wired politically thus the small fine. And yes I was at that game
  2. I was surprised, but I shouldn’t have been by Tom Brady’s observations on the Bills last drive. After all Brady has 7 Super Bowl wins and is most likely the greatest quarterback ever because of that. With 2 minutes left in the game and the Bills not yet at midfield he’s talking about going for a field goal and keeping all of your time outs to win the game. I didn’t think so at the time but that was brilliant! I’ll bet that same thought process was not taking place on the Bills sidelines. There is the problem
  3. It is always said that gambling could affect games but the books want the game clean due to the amount of money wagered. This is the entertainment industry trying to increase interest. Pro wrestling!
  4. Mine has to be Joe Namath. Drafted by the Jets and signed for $400K an unheard of amount at the time. Articles in national magazines about his fur coats, shag rugs and his notorious partying. But what really did it was his a beating the Colts in Superbowl III when no one gave the Jets a chance at winning thus lifting the AFL to equals of the NFL
  5. Again, not a surprise; best QB wins
  6. Best QB wins
