People have said the same about AC/DC and it's just not true. There are so many nuances about this song that artistically are very clever. Is it the best song ever? Nah but it's for sure not horrible or basic. funny thing. I happened upon a video of Megadeth's drummer playing along to this song after hearing it for the first time. He was a little humbled by the style and energy of the song and its technicality within its simplicity.

Yep. That's a great line and gets the blood pumping. But when considering what the song is about.... id love to keep talking about this song or others. Maybe I'll get an off the wall chat going. Being "about" and "promoting" are two different things. The poster said "it's about". Flowers is a Morman not a Christian there's a difference there, but that's neither here nor there. You are right it's about overcoming and being "Mr brightside". Michigans football team Has been using this song for a long time now and it didn't make sense then either. But just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it can't pump you up musically. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. The Killers Vocalist, brandon Flowers says it's about how his girl cheated on him and he caught her. That doesn't make me smart it just proves I know how to read an article. I'll take the word of the guy who wrote the song over 100k drunk football fans.

I'm sure it's lol Brandon flowers said it was about him waking up from a dream that his girl was cheating. He went to the club off of a gut feeling and caught her in the act. Maybe he's lying about his own song to add some mystery but I can only go based off what he said in an interview.

And they probably don't realize it's a song about someone banging your chick.

I think they just needed a change of pace. Cook wasn't hitting the holes well enough in my eyes. Those screens were awful. Johnson was doing some nice things and getting yards imo that cook wasn't finding.
