Will anyone admit to enjoying watching soap operas on TV?
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
technically not a soap opera but these guys are divas and the show plays like one. That said, I really enjoy the Formula 1 series on Netflix. The crashes are pretty amazing too... -

Clarence Thomas IS conflicted
Joe Ferguson forever replied to BillStime's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Theyβre actually missing out on enormous fun in planning a do-it-yourself fishing trip. Keeping in mind a SCOTUS justice salary, this would also seem more reasonable I think I once got a seat upgrade on a flight. -

I'm publicly disclosing I've never fished with a judge. I don't believe many would enjoy catching their own hellgrammites for bait but I could be wrong. Teachers, veterinarian and car salesmen buddies are fine with it. C'mon this reeks...private plane to Alaska. Undoubtedly guides and hired boats. I'll bet they didn't cook their own shore lunch or stop at brewers retail for supplies before the trip. Big dollars for this trip. -

the director said it will leave questions. Joe McCarthy is portrayed so I expect the communist question will be addressed -

This looks amazing and compelling for anyone interested in politics or history. Reports are that it's also disturbing. Can't wait... https://variety.com/2023/film/news/christopher-nolan-oppenheimer-devastate-viewers-horror-movie-1235650687/ -

I do indirect heat on a ceramic smoker. I get past 225 fast and then it's hard to wait the temp down. Should be better at it by now. Anyone use beer or another liquid for some steam. I like apple juice with apple smoker wood. It's a cool hobby and pays off big time when you get it right. -
I think the bottom is where most of the injustice happens. There are many more regular people in court rooms every day than ex politicians or politicians kids. been a character witness a couple times. My wife just showed up at the trial of a part time employee that was facing big trouble for a minor offense. The judge listened to her and gave probation. The sad people I saw in court the times I've been there were really pathetic (and mostly really stupid) for the most part. And the rulings seemed reasonable, as little as I know about the law. There are other factors at play here. An ex prez with a rabid, violent following and a moronic son of the current prez. Of course they're gonna be treated differently. They shouldn't be but just are. There are cultural considerations and questions of civil unrest re trump's trial. At the very top, things are different even if you are a scumbag. The rest of your argument is bs...

Yeah. I've tried brisket twice and it was terrible. Content to buy it made. keeping the temp stable is easier said than done for me. -
Trump 2024?
Joe Ferguson forever replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He's entirely predictable. Realize what most benefits him, and that's his next move (document case but not rape cases excluded). Unfortunately, the D party has not capitalized on that weakness anywhere near to its potential. It's like poker players failing to recognize or ignoring a tell. -
Who said the justice system is fair? It can definitely be improved. There are crooked judges, rogue cops, crooked lawyers etc. Yup, you or I would be in jail for any of this stuff. Then consider what happens to people who can't afford a lawyer or are jailed for overdue fines and court costs they can't pay off. But this trump vs hunter comparison of justice is stupid. They'll likely both get off with hand slaps. Better than ignoring their crimes.

I've often been disappointed with ribs I've made. This is my current favorite: https://amazingribs.com/best-barbecue-ribs-recipe/ Takes all day but worth it. What's yours? In keeping with the Easy meal" thread, I'd recommend baked ribs but imo not as good...

Let's diagram the argument of most of the righties here: Premises- Hunter Biden is a crook and should be in jail (before the plea deal went down) trump is innocent til proven guilty. the justice system is weighted towards D's. Hunter Biden enters a plea deal and admits guilt. Conclusion: The justice system is rigged and the case against trump is a witch hunt
