umm, he goes scorched earth when he loses in court and the election...If he wins he just becomes a dictator. He'll want that bunker...He'll have advance notice. A smaller bunker will undoubtedly suffice however. He doesn't need no stinking congress. -
an important distinction, but with it , I fully agree. Outsiders opinions are important. I've told this story here before but it sticks in my memory...the driver from International Falls to rainy lake was a Canadian kid. It was during the beginning of the gulf war. And I asked him what he thought about it. He said "I can sum it up in one word: OIL. Didn't turn out so well for us but he was right....and so many Americans were beating the war drums and cheering shock and awe.

not at all. But I'm glad you read it. Did you know about the bunker? Do you think there's one in existence now? Would trump disclose the location when he goes scorched earth? That would be patriotic, "amiright"? -
I care. We care. It's a matter of scale. Holding on to secret docs with who knows what intentions and kissing up to Putin who clearly wanted and helped trump to win and trying to overturn an election with an orchestrated riot are a little more concerning to us than the old story of political graft. But, yes, Show us the money on the impeachment inquiry...If there's evidence enough, please impeach Biden...

i think some are aiming for a high post in the dictatorship. but agree, they know he's a liar and rarely speaks any truth. I could see Lenny and 29 angling for that. "truth" social....more doublespeak.

meanwhile in fantasy land....the female propagandist standing in front of a picture of a huge maga filled auditorium when there were 500 people at the event. Reminiscent of the screens in the broadcast booth in the bunker at the Greenbrier of different seasons in Washington for backdrops of announcements in the event of a nuclear war. Fascinating place. The guys running it had fake identities as TV repairman in tiny white sulphur springs WV https://www.oann.com/video/oan-contribution/harrington-pres-trump-is-fighting-for-the-forgotten-man/ well worth $47 https://www.greenbrier.com/Activities-Events/Bunker-Tours-0130-(4).aspx -

this is great comedy. be hilarious if it didn't threaten the nation https://www.salon.com/2023/09/28/an-unmitigated-disaster-gops-first-impeachment-inquiry-panned-by/ "I shouldn't have asked Turley a question," Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert reportedlycomplained to an aide on Thursday. "He was a crappy witness." she should have offered him a sexual favor. might have helped.

I'm old. what's a simp and don't say "you". If they had damning witnesses and evidence, wouldn't they trot them out the first day of the circus with what is left of the elephants? from the article you cited (which flatly fails to make a strong case against President Biden, despite trying really, really hard): The effort underscored the challenges Republicans may have in explaining their evidence to a public that has heard bits and pieces about the Biden family business deals for the last three years. While House Republicans have uncovered a remarkable amount of new information about the dealings since arriving in the majority in January, some of it tying Joe Biden to the businesses for the first time, they run the risk of struggling to explain the case clearly to voters. The sometimes unwieldy impeachment inquiry hearing showed that the GOP may have work to do on that front. Ya think Raskin might have done a better job if he'd been on the cheaters side? How bout Kinzinger or Liz Cheney. They've purged most of the R's with any intellect. Whose fault is that?
