  1. No the records seal the deal. There are some really good ones.
  2. No patience needed. Looking forward to SUP yoga. They like me there. The yogi tonight was selling a beautiful old inherited tube console stereo-mid century modern, great reviews on the sound. It wasn't rotating properly and I rec'ed a repair man. She got it fixed and is going to get many of my old LP's tonight. I might get some extra help out there.
  3. I suppose it could be taken as sexist but I think he refers to he/she and not in a transexual way.
  4. tongue in cheek
  5. There's another gym that will do just fine😀
  6. One of last weeks reading was about the troubles of Jeremiah. People do sometimes see consequences for their beliefs. I don't think that should stop them from making them known (excluding rioting and trying to overturn elections)
  7. It's BYOBoard. If you want, I can pm you the details. They won't exclude you for your politics. Sad that we now segregate gyms based on tribes.
  8. nope. at the lake tonight. 6-730. hope to fall in less than 4X.
  9. for the second time, I did not trash businesses that stayed open. I did oppose some large nearby events when the ICU's were full and the pandemic was raging. This included a large music festival (community run, I know 2 people on the board that I also spoke to personally) that I love and will attend again this year.
  10. I'm pretty certain I'd rather have the woman writing the article I linked, running my class. but that's just me. nope. Never mentioned the gym. I commented on social distancing in general, on vax, on hospital vax mandates etc. We had one of the lowest vax rates in the country.
  11. I've commented on a few news pieces in local media, especially on Covid.. Not as brashly as here but not subdued.
  12. yes, that he's an asshat. I never spoke politics at the gym. not once. This was based on my reputation and probably my affiliation with the local dem party. I knew he was very conservative when I signed up but thought he was a smarter business man. as to the yoga question, this is not what Im after but it looks like it can be achieved https://www.theyoganomads.com/yoga-for-muscle-building/
  13. try it and find out. this is the best you guys got? Beating down a silly article. I'm sure the book author researched the origins. Just not interested. But I will tell you that I signed up for a conventional gym and asked them to set me up with a personal trainer. No one called. I asked the owner why and he told me it was my politics. Have another trainer and gym lined up.
  14. I don't swing that way either. But it looks like it could be a print at a gay art museum exhibit.
  15. Dude, did this strike you as somewhat homoerotic when you posted it?
  16. Too funny not to share. Even without knowing anything about these people https://pagesix.com/2023/07/12/rfk-jr-press-dinner-explodes-in-war-of-words-and-farts/
  17. Let me try to splain. Farley said this: "people want to go to florida like Texas and other RED/Purple states. they are and have been fleeing Blue states for a while now. " My somewhat obscure reference to insurance cos. leaving was to make the point that those people might well be making a very big, bad choice. I coulda been more transparent but obvious can be boring (and this is Section C3's thread, after all). Yes, set the people free! Go to Fla and Texas! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. This is much more straightforward: Don't live in a flood zone. https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/other/floods-fires-and-deadly-heat-are-the-alarm-bells-of-a-planet-on-the-brink/ar-AA1dMSkx
  18. idk. i thought the reception comment was a serious piece of advice. it's got everything to do with how desirable a place is to live. And right now, apparently Fla is that. No idea why.
  19. no, you do california. It's your argument. Have insurance companies left the entire state? inquiring minds want to know. Anybody who wants to live in those red states deserves to. As mentioned in another thread, they shouldn't expect open arms receptions from the natives when housing prices jump. And the other half mosquito, snake and gator infested swamp. Then you can go to the theme parks for serenity. Or pick up the clap in one of the senior planned communities. Sounds amazing.
  20. Not so much for insurance companies..."We are Farmers, dum de dum de dum dum dum https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2023/07/11/farmers-insurance-pulls-out-of-florida-angering-patronis/
  21. Fine. It does seem to increase inner strength but I'm just getting started. Maybe more deep breathing and less down facing dog... Recurring MAGA theme: project obvious failings on the enemy. You can fully expect they'll do it every time.
  22. Never complain again about ad hominem attacks...
  23. The congressman can orate. Pretty standard qualification excepting MTG, Boebert, Santos and Tuberville. But Wray destroys his argument. Perception matters but is not ultimate truth. I prefer Hank Johnsons take:
  24. I don't know what R hellscape means but I suppose I live in one. Well, at least what were R's. Didn't flee. It's nice here. Housing is really expensive everywhere right now. Supply/demand in action.
  25. other stores compete though. Target, Walmart, Wayfair, Best buy etc. that's a good thing if you need something for your home.
