the normies miss the EU. Just another class war fought on a different continent...there are yobos in every country. the trick is to emasculate them early.

none of which addresses the central theme: That we are expected to care for those in need even if they are from an unfriendly or foreign tribe. Why would you ignore the obvious message? hmmm...yes, people look for excuses to not do the right thing. He's saying that they shouldn't. I think the prodigal son is about redemption and that it's never too late. As far as the good son, he's reassured of his place with his father: ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’” There's no mention of his anger persisting. -

I think it says it is possible. And we meant to do the same even with foreigners and enemies. from AI A traveler, often understood to be Jewish, is attacked by robbers on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho. A Jewish priest and a Levite pass by without helping him. A Samaritan, despite historical animosity between Jews and Samaritans, stops to help the injured man. He bandages his wounds and takes him to an inn for care. Key Themes Compassion: The Samaritan's actions exemplify true neighborly love, showing mercy to someone in need. Inclusivity: The parable challenges social boundaries, emphasizing that anyone can be a neighbor, regardless of ethnic or religious differences. This what I was taught on many Sundays. At a minimum, it shows there were ethnic tensions in the region at the time. -

why was a Samaritan specifically mentioned by nationality/region in the new testament? -

I agree with your overall point. but yes, some of people in the James Jones massacre and the branch davidians knew and wanted out. I don't believe followers of Jesus were/are the same. No one stopped them from leaving or coerced them into joining. he's a loathsome troll. adds nothing ever.... -

I think he would speak out against it. At a minimum he'd use the abusers in a lesson about how not to be. -

Probably the best collection of ancient middle East artifacts on earth. Most a bit older than Jesus but still relevant. https://armstronginstitute.org/29-touring-the-bible-at-the-british-museum -

They fought many wars to define borders back then. They were brutal times. And Jesus was still teaching to accept the foreigner and turn the other cheek. -

They're not buzzwords, they're truths. Those things that maga's choose to ignore. -
The author is "a midwestern doctor". Awesome! Could have a PhD in astronomy or have graduated Grenada med school... Two things can be true. Drug companies want to make money. And the drugs they produce can be life saving or drastically improving. Decent treatment for alzheimers is way overdue. Could save billions on nursing home care (which is losing capacity due to shipping off so many immigrant workers). Everyone is not out to get you. but please don't take any life saving drugs. We'll all be better off.

For the same reasons Dr Scott Isaacs is. They are revolutionary drugs. The benefits far outweigh the risks for most people. All drugs have adverse effects. tylenol can cause liver failure. Aspirin can cause major bleeds. They're still available OTC while glp 1's are carefully supervised by doctors. re the discontinuation rate, most of it is due to cost https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/high-costs-likely-lead-early-semaglutide-discontinuation-2025a1000h5s stop reading cartoon articles and read the original papers....

Here's an original, uncherry picked article by Scott Isaacs. He's a big fan of glp 1's: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/scott-isaacs-md-facp-face-ba16278_glp1-glp1ra-activity-7248689710997323776-Laeq "appetite regulation, influencing insulin secretion, insulin sensitivity, and gastric emptying. The therapeutic use of GLP-1RAs has evolved significantly, offering various formulations that provide different efficacy, routes of admin- istration, and flexibility in dosing. These agents reduce HbA1c levels, facilitate weight loss, and exhibit cardiovascular protective effects, making them an integral component of T2DM and obesity management."

the stock was at 16 in May. If you bought at 24 earlier in the year(you posted in February), you were down 33% in May. Now you've doubled after a 20% increase last week. things change. maybe it goes up, maybe it goes down. if I was interested in the stock, I would have noticed the spring slide and reminded you.

some of the market agrees. from Jefferies, Aug 18 “We estimate the buyside could be baking in ~1GW of sales in ’27. With BE expanding capacity to 2GW (1.3GW for product, rest for service) by YE26, hitting that target is possible. However, cadence and timing of deals matter, and we question whether investors are getting ahead of themselves. With BE +20% last week: expectations are ramping with DC deal & efforts by PJM to require new supply with new load. At current levels, we try to determine implied volumes. The stock is currently trading at ~22x ’27E EBITDA of $526mn. The median multiple for data center / hyperscalers adjacent cos is ~18x (Ex – 2). To justify a more ‘normalized’ multiple, investors might be baking much higher EBITDA growth vs sell-side cons.” There's always risk. No such thing as a sure thing. but good for you.
