Colbert CANCELED!!!
Joe Ferguson forever replied to JDHillFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
i'm on traditional medicare (per my insurance agent, "best insurance you can't buy" and a supplement I buy. Nothing has happened to my coverage except that it has improved this year when I qualified. Much better than the commercial insurance I had thru work. No response to my answer to your question? -

50% pay no fed income tax...so yep, everyone who does pay with progressive taxation as incomes rise. Maybe, limit any major or any increases to the top 10%. Simultaneously, spending must be cut. Lot's of less destructive places to cut than Medicaid -
It really wasn't a sell. Many who will be affected are uninformed or hold B man's twisted logic. I think of the guy who just cut brush for me. Small biz, 3 kids. Don't know if he's on Medicaid but if not he's likely buying it through the exchange which is going to become unaffordable. There will be 10 million other examples. And more because of the ripple effect on exchange plans.

I don't want it at all. What specific parts do you disagree with? She quoted rural hospital execs. Do you not believe that more will close than if the bill didn't pass? Do you not believe it will be more difficult to recruit top talent? Do you not agree that more departments like obstetrics will now close? And that hospital employees will lose their jobs and then their insurance? Do you not believe that more people will use the ER for unreimbursed care shifting costs to private insurers and ultimately the companies who buy it and their employees? Who championed the bill? but you blame the author...

A nice summary of the expected fallout from Medicaid cuts.. B'man, do you agree? https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2025-07-21/rural-hospitals-brace-for-fallout-from-medicaid-cuts Analysts say the cuts will further strain the financial stability of rural hospitals and clinics that have already been operating on thin margins. Alan Morgan, chief executive officer of the National Rural Health Association, says 45% of the nation’s rural hospitals are already operating at a loss. “More than 300 are at risk of closure already. So you've got thin margins, in many cases negative margins. So obviously, when you remove $155 billion over the next 10 years, it's going to have an impact,” he says. Rasmussen says that hospitals are now seeing “a very dim light at the end of the tunnel” as they evaluate how to adjust for the loss in funding. “Some will choose to make adjustments very quickly, some will wait it out and hope that maybe the next Congress will rescind some of these cuts,” he says. “But I think you're going to see more communities step up and say, ‘We're just going to bite the bullet on this one and we're going to shut down obstetrics,’ ‘We're going to shut down physical therapy,’ or, ‘We're going to close the following clinics to make sure that we are making our debt payments to our local banks and we're holding on to as many employment opportunities for the people in our small town.’” “This will affect all of us as the cost of this uncompensated care leads hospitals and care providers to charge paying customers more to cover their costs. Some hospitals and providers, especially those in rural and underserved areas, will be unable to make up for these unreimbursed costs and will be financially threatened by these changes.” We're starting to see this even in a relatively afffluent rural community: Rasmussen notes that hospitals tend to be the employers that provide some of the highest compensation in rural communities. “In order to be able to appropriately recruit a physician or a nurse or a pharmacist, you have to pay market rates because you're competing with urban communities. When you lose that talent, it is extremely difficult to get them to come back,” he says.

I would too if we weren't facing a deficit and interest on the debt crisis. In the meantime, Len wants me to personally lessen those. -

I don't think Dershowitz is to be trusted https://www.mediaite.com/online/dershowitz-says-hes-still-representing-jeffrey-epstein-only-received-massage-from-old-russian/ One of Esptein’s accusers, Virginia Roberts, said he had sex with her when she was underage. “I had sexual intercourse with Dershowitz at least six times,’’ Roberts wrote in a 2015 court affidavit, per the Miami Herald. “The first time was when I was about 16, early on in my servitude to Epstein and it continued until I was 19.” sadly, Roberts recently committed suicide.

don't forget that mossad has a history of similar tactics https://www.theinteldrop.org/2025/05/24/60-years-after-cohens-execution-how-did-mossad-weave-the-legend-of-its-man-in-damascus/ Although some allegations of wild parties at Kamel Amin Thabet’s (Cohen's alias) apartment have been denied, the invitation of high-ranking figures to his home raised security suspicions about the nature of his relationships and his true role. Also of interest Recently, following a visit by US President Donald Trump to the Gulf, during which he met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, documents and belongings of the spy Cohen were handed over to Israel with the aim of “easing tensions and demonstrating goodwill to Trump,” according to Reuters.

Attorney client privilege survives death. Dershowitz may have violated ethics rules by writing this. Do clients fail too disclose things to their attorneys? How does he know there is no list? What he does call for is Maxwell's testimony in front of congress. That would satisfy some doubters. He knows that's not going to happen. He even doubts the case against the WSJ will go to court. He's suspected of participating in the Epstein travesty. Why should we believe him? It's reasonable to speculate his letter was part of a kabuki dance set up at Vance's Montana visit. Ar the Israaeli's expected to admit he was their agent? This smells very bad. Even you should admit that. https://dailycaller.com/2025/07/20/alan-dershowitz-donald-trump-wall-street-journal-report-epstein-malice/ “I’ll probably be called as a witness in the case, because they also called me, and they said that you wrote him a letter with a mock cover of Vanity Fair,” Dershowitz told Curanaj. “And I said, ‘I may have, I don’t remember, this was 23 years ago. Just send me a copy of the letter with my signature and I’ll tell you whether it’s authentic or not,’ and they said they couldn’t do it.” “And so they published the story without authenticating it with me, and that will be an important point in trying to prove malice, so I suspect I will be a witness if this case ever goes to trial,” Dershowitz continued. from politico “She knows everything,” Dershowitz said. “She is the Rosetta Stone. She knows everything. She arranged every single trip with everybody. She knows everything. And if she were just given use immunity, she could be compelled to testify. I’m told that she actually would be willing to testify. And there’d be no reason for her to withhold any information.” But he's wrong. She might want to withhold info based on a possible pardon.
