Mr. Irrelevant

It has been my understanding that the 90's unis with the red helmet will reappear when the Bills are playing in the new stadium. That will be nice, though I am a fan of their current uniform, especially with the blue jersey. For their color rush uniform, 100% favor the all-blue, and would be content to never see the all-red, Kansas City look-alike uniforms ever again. When they wore the red jersey with the white pants, it was a relief to see the organization had half-way come to its senses, though it does make the team look like the Patriots wearing their throwbacks. My only concession to that look is that apparently some of the players like the red jersey. Nearly as bad as the all-red, is the Greg Williams inspired navy uniforms where he was trying to mimic the Tennessee Titans. Karma is still punishing him for that mistake. He was booted out of the league for putting bounties on opposing players, then when he called a 'cover zero' against the Raiders, got burned, and got fired the next day, he was finally punished for playing 'Project Runway' with the Bills uniforms.

Once again, the Binghamton CBS affiliate has chosen to broadcast the Giants game vs. the Eagles, vs. showing the Bills. They do this once or twice a year. Whenever they have to make such a decision, they'll show the moribund and dysfunctional Giants rather than the more talented and entertaining Bills. Apparently they think that they'll draw a larger viewing audience with the aging Giant fan base. That damned affiliate is still pining for the days when CBS broadcast the National Conference games. Being in one of the cities where the broadcast markets of two or three NFL teams overlap is a royal pain. Thank God the Jets are a perpetual trainwreck. May it always be so. Kelly's in Endicott is a good choice. Any other recommendations?

After seeing some of the really horrific throwback uniforms of teams like the Steelers and the Giants, the Bills should bring back for one game the 1990's uniforms of the Super Bowl years. Those were good looking uniforms, though I personally prefer the current Bills uniforms. As long as they never bring back the Greg Williams mistakes, those awful navy blues, especially the even worse away uniforms.

Where will Jones land? Not Buffalo, though he'd be a good fit. A Josh Allen type of QB but without the talent. The Jets? Jones is only 27 and Gang Green NEEDS a change. Best bet is Carolina. Jones played at Duke and Carolina's QB is too small to take the pounding their OL allows. Jones is used to being a punching bag after playing for the Giants.

When Milano's rookie deal expired, he could have gotten a better deal, but chose to stay with the Bills. That kind of loyalty deserves some reciprocation. More important, he's played at an all-pro level. HIs injury also, wasn't a career threatening or permanently disabling. He had a broken leg. He should be able to completely recover. Besides, his body has had almost an entire year to rest.

Good luck to them. Whatever money the NFL earns from these offshore games, the players should get half. It's a real speed bump to the season. That game in London, for the Bills, nearly caused their season to cartwheel into a catastrophe. If the entire team had been inflicted with the flu it couldn't have caused more problems. The recent games snowed out by blizzards have been less of an issue.

Considering who will be available at 28, would prefer drafting Ladd McConkey, WR from Georgia or Xavier Leggett WR, So. Carolina. However, since this is a fantasy, my preference would be to move back out of the first to the early 2nd, acquire enough draft capitol to move up from 60 and possibly get a late 3rd round pick as well. Still Draft McConkey or Leggett, then draft a DT with the move up from 60, and draft a WR, CB, S, or RB in the 3rd.

Too bad Stephon is gone, but if he wanted out of Buffalo that badly, good riddance. He was playing with a very tight and competitive team, with a generational talent at QB, and it wasn't enough. Good luck finding a better recipe for success in Houston. His departure also leaves a huge hole in the salary cap for a year. That was Beane's choice, but it indicates how little the organization wanted him back in the locker room, that they were willing to eat millions in dead cap money. Doubtless Josh Allen was included in the discussion and must have agreed that the team was better off bringing in rookie replacements and free agents. Beane has drafted, I believe, 39 players in his tenure as a GM and 33 are still in the NFL, so he has a good record judging talent. This is a draft loaded with WRs and there's good reason to believe he'll grab one or two who'll be ready to contribute this year or the next, in addition to the players they already have on board.

Moving from 28 to 18 would cost way too much. What? Both of this year's 4th round picks and next year's 3rd. Three names illustrate why a trade up would be foolish. Sammy Watkins. As has already been pointed out, the trade up for him was a complete bust. Mike Evans, in the same draft (who is still in the league) was available, though the Bills would have also had to trade up to get him, but for much less. Moving up from eight to six would have cost only a third-round pick. Oh well. Hindsight is 20-20. Justin Jefferson was the fifth WR taken in the first round of the 2020 draft and has turned out to be the pick of the litter.

The Jets already have the Dalai Lama, Aaron Rodgers, penciled in as the starter and Tyrod Taylor behind him. They're just dangling Wilson as bait for some predator to *****, and maybe get a third day pick. It's unfair to Wilson, who needs a change of scenery, and it also sends a message to the league, of how conniving the Jets as an organization can be. They're hurting themselves by the way they're handling Wilson. At least Darnold got a ticket out of town.

Brilliant moves by Pittsburgh. They unload Pickett on the Eagles and get a 3rd (overall pick 98) in exchange for their 4th (pick 120). They then acquire a superior QB talent, still on his rookie deal, for only a 6th. They also get a QB who could immediately make Pittsburgh competitive with Baltimore and Cincinnati and better than Cleveland, for next to nothing. Teams like the Giants, Jets, Vikings, and CommanderSkins, should take note.

So, the successor to Tom Brady is headed to Jacksonville. Bill Belichick is headed to ESPN (presumably). Whatever happens, there has been a sea change in the NFL and especially in the AFC East. Josh Allen and the Bills are the mountain everyone has to climb. The Jets have a 40-year-old QB coming off an Achilles injury. The Dolphins have an oft-injured QB and salary cap issues. The Patriots are back to page-one with a new head coach and a total unknown at QB. And the Bills are looking for a new #2 receiver. Which team looks like it's closest to reaching the Super Bowl?

The only reason teams have worn alternate colors is to drive up sports paraphernalia sales. Want black? Buy a sweatshirt. Personally, I loathe the red unis. (They perfectly mimic the Arizona Cardinals). The all blues are okay, but it wouldn't kill me if they only wore them once a year (as the color rush uniform) or not at all.

Watching the Ravens fall apart against the Chiefs only heightened my appreciation for the play of the Bills last week against Kansas City. Reid did a masterful job of taking advantage of the Bills depleted LB corp. For gosh sakes, A.J. Klein was semi-retired, headed to Key West with the family when the Bills called and pressed him into service. Despite that, if Josh makes that last minute throw to Shakir, or if Bass makes the FG and we go to OT, or if Diggs pulls in that 65 yd. bomb?? If, if, if. The Bills v. Chiefs was the Super Bowl for 2024, and the Bills are closer to getting to the Super Bowl than many realize.

Wow. 7 vacancies so far, perhaps more. Never seen a post-season like this. Carroll can still coach, but even though he's a youthful 72, he's 72. In a division where Seattle is chasing San Fran and LA. Mike Vrabel, a mere 48 years of age, should have his pick of places to land after Tennessee's incredible blunder.

This is nuts. The Chargers are without their NFL best WR, their stud DL, and their franchse QB. Now, they cut a standout DL!?? They've tanked the season without admitting to the same. They're playing for draft picks. That locker room has to be ready to explode in frustration over a team loaded with talent, throwing away the season.

Anticipating the game, when the Bills play, is torture. Watching the game isn't fun. It's 3 and a half hours of nail-biting angst, praying for a win. Afterwards, it's either feeling sick to my stomach, a feeling that lingers for days, or relief over a last second reprieve, and feeling sick to my stomach for days. That, unfortunately, isn't just a figure of speech. If we win, I can at least tune in to WGR, the NFL Network, and click on to Two Bills Drive. Losses mean self-imposed isolation and occasionally checking into social media. Watching the NFL Network replays are worse than a root canal. Mature adults aren't supposed to react so extremely to their team's ups and downs, but when it comes to being a Bills fan, reason doesn't apply.

Hate the red unis. They look like the Arizona Cardinals. Don't even suggest wearing white pants with the red jersey. Then all you'd need do is get rid of the buffalo and replace it with the patriot hiking a football and the Bills look like they're wearing a Patriot throwback uniform. For a color rush uniform, the all blues are okay. Don't love them, but they're all right.

That monster falsely accused Araiza hoping to cash in on his pending NFL contract. Instead, she derailed his life and career. Araiza can sue her, but it's not likely she's worth more than $1000. But perhaps he can get a full, complete apology and public exoneration. She also cost the Bills their punter who would have been a perfect bookend to kicker Tyler Bass. With apologies to Sam Martin, Araiza would be outstanding and also on a rookie contract.

Is Frazier coming back? No. Not a chance. His "choice" to take a year off was a polite dismissal. McDermott wants a more aggressive defense that will blitz more frequently. The Bills won't be bending and reacting this year. Expect more creativity and opposing QB's running for their lives. Looking forward to Week 1! How's about you, Aaron??

If I'm unable to watch the game, I'll be upset only if it's a game that includes the Bills. Even then, I'll watch the replay on the NFL Network, and only if the Bills win.

This illustrates how Belichick isn't focused solely on the Patriots but is paying as much attention to the other teams and their drafts, particularly in the AFC East. There can be no doubt that Sauron's gaze is often focused on the Bills, Josh Allen, and the Bills' practice squad.

Agreed. Trading Taron Johnson to move up to select a player who could possibly be available in free agency makes no sense. Also, would take Campbell over Sanders with the 1st pick. The rest is good.

In a draft class this deep at TE, the Bills should definitely plan on drafting one starting probably in the 3rd round. Most definitely on day 3 with one of their picks in the 4th, early 5th, or the 6th. The Bills should fill needs at LB (replacing Edmonds) OL and DL, but if there is another Travis Kelce or George Kittle in the waiting, grab him in the 2nd.

Robinson RB, is a no-brainer if he's available at 27. A unique talent who is a 3 down back and would more than replace Singletary. Then OL in the 2nd. So much of the draft will depend upon whether the Bills resign Edmonds and/or Poyer. Otherwise, the only two players I would be salivating over are Robinson or O'Cyrus Torrence, OL from Florida. If they aren't available, a trade down into the early or mid 2nd would be okay. If Edmonds doesn't resign, LB will be a priority. Campbell of Iowa or Sanders from Arkansas.
