There is potential for him to be better. A new offensive coaching staff is probably the biggest factor to that happening. Time will tell. I hope I am eating crow in a few years and Allen can get it all together and get us a long overdue Super Bowl. We are starved for a championship. We all want Allen to be the best to ever play. I'm okay with him being top 10 or 20.

I can think of 3 games off the top of my head where his bonehead head scratching plays has cost us the game, Vikings last year, Jets opening game this year and Broncos game this year. There are more but i can't think of at this moment. Mahommes is the toughest Qb mentally and pysically. There is no comparing him and Allen. If you havent watched the Netflix series Quarterback. I highly recommed it. Mahommes is an absolute beast. Allen is not in his league. Sorry

There you go. I agree 100%. He is not a kid anymore, though. He is 27. If Josh was in the NFC he'd probably have been to a super bowl or 2. We are very unlucky to have Burrows , Mahommes, Lamar, Tua in our conference to name a few. I'm afraid this might be another Dom Hasek situation. We had the best goalie on the planet and couldn't win it all because of poor management. Go Bills!

We have lived through bad QBs. I said we can win with Josh. You are right Dorsey and Mcdermott have basically ruined him this year. I want McD gone for various reasons including that. His confidence gets rattled and he makes stupid plays the rest of the game. That is concerning to me. Great QBs are able shake off bad plays during games. He implodes. It needs to be fixed.

Because he is 6 years into his career and his stats have plateaued the past three years and he on pace for similar stats this year. The unfortunate thing for us Bills fans is we have at least 6 QBS in the AFC that are great and can compete with Allen. I'm not including Stroud who is becoming a stud in his rookie year

I know right. He is putting up great numbers now minus the ints. You say one bad thing about Josh and fans lose their minds. The weird thing is i'm not saying anything bad about him. He is what he is and that's fine. People need to get a grip on reality. So many immature posts its ridiculous.

Look my guy its my opinion and im entitled to it. If my opinion bothers you move the hell on

Again its my opinion. He is a fierce competitor no doubt. There's a difference in being a fierce competitor and handling the adversity a NFL QB goes through. I heard somewhere that Josh is seeing a sports psychologist. You and I can speculate as to why that is but it cant be a good thing. When he is mic'd up and in interviews he comes across as childish. I personally love the guy. I got home and away authentic Allen Jerseys up on my wall. There is definitely some room for him to be more mature.
-
I think coaching is holding him back to a degree. My main concern with him is his maturity level and dealing with adversity. You gotta have a high amount of mental toughness to be starting QB in the NFL. I see pouting and what looks depression in him after games where he is horrible. I think there is potential for him to be better with a better coach and as he gets older and matures. Lets face it the dude is somewhat childish. Its my opinion and I realize I can be way off base here as I have never met the man but that's the vibe he gives off. I hope beyond hope he can take us all the way. This fanbase has suffered long enough with gut wrenching loses and mediocrity.

Hey Einstein. I have an opinion about our Quarterback. I'm asking for others opinions. If you are offended by my opinion then you need to grow up a little bit.
-
Its not a premise its an opinion. I'm interested in other Bills fans opinions on this topic
-
Im not implying that at all as a matter of fact I said I think we can win a Super Bowl with him and his current stats. What post are you reading?
-
Yea okay go cry to mommy the mean internet guy said something no so flattering about Joshy
-
Maybe its time to grow up junior. You cant handle a person saying your favorite QB isnt as good as you might want him to be
-
I think it was on WGR. Extra point show with Sal Cappacio
-
I heard somewhere that the Bills O-line ranks first in the NFL in pass protection.
-
Sorry you dont like my post. It seems to be well received by the more mature members of the group.

Well said. Thanks for your response.

No offense taken. I certainly there is potential for him to be better. My main concern with him is his maturity level and mental ability to deal with adversity. He seems to take negative games to heart and maybe feels the pressure of the fans and media bashing his turnovers. You can see it in his demeanor when they lose and his post game press conference. I hope he can grow into a more mature QB with age and experience. He needs a mentor. McDermott aint doing him any favors with his coaching style

I will be ecstatic if i'm wrong. So lets revisit this when he is 35 years old.

I/m sorry my opinion offends you snowflake

I am going by his past 3 seasons with similar stats mid 4000 passing yards and just above 40 tds. Combine that with his psychological issues and I think we have seen the best he can give from him. I love the guy I have 2 of his Jerseys, one up on my wall. He is the best thing to happen to Buffalo since Levy, Kelly, and Polian.
-
I'm not saying we should trade him. I love watching him play. As I said I believe we can win a Super Bowl with him as is. I ' think we will see Drew Brees or Tom Brady level of excellence from him. I'm okay with it. I said i believe we can win a Super Bowl with him. I don't see him going to another level like Brees, Brady, Mahommes, and Manning.

I have been an Allen supporter since he was drafted. I felt he was a perfect fit for the city. He is in year 6 of his career and has put up fairly consistent stats the last 3 years. Have we seen his best football or can he be better? By better I mean 5000+ passing yards and 50+ total tds. I personally believe he has hit his ceiling. I think he is what he is and I think we can win a Super Bowl with him playing at this level. I am just curios what others opinions are as to what they expect from him the rest of his career.
