  1. 5th in team history in TD's over 4 year span. Not bad at all
  2. I say he's kept. Core ST, no one played more on 4th down
  3. Same for Trey Lance? (my ans., 'No) Let's see who the Browns cut at QB. Right now their room is Watson, Jamies Winston, Tyler Huntley, Dorian Thompson-Robinson. I would kick the tires on any of those. No other team as likely to cut someone that good (meaning better than Mitch).
  4. Hmmm, not out to give Mitch a break--he sucked--but imma call that a drop. Rook needs to learn he is going to get hit whether he stretches out for the ball or not.
  5. I'm not out to cut Cam, I just think we need another safety. And it would be helpful if he weren't the worst S on the team. My 53 is full of guys that play ST
  6. Quick, who was the last left-hander to complete a pass for the Bills? Yes, I know the numbers from former years. I chose to remind some people that we kept 6lb's last year, so I know how this goes. It's just that right now there is not a fourth safety on this roster worth keeping. Not a healthy one, at any rate. This is a position where it may pay to cut down to 52 and pull in someone from the waiver list. Surely, some team is going to cut someone better at safety than Cam Lewis, let alone whoever is next best. The last left handed completion? Jaquan Johnson on a fake punt. I was like, "wow, a fake punt, wow Jaquan's a lefty, hey, we converted!"
  7. I don't think it will be 7, but it could, even with 4te (oh, that pesky problem...). bottom roster spots should go to players that serve a role (KR, PR, ST, key backup) or are otherwise so good they won't make it to out PS. KR could get KJ on the team, and he wouldn't even have to beat out anyone but Kingsley Johnathan and a safety that was on the couch last week. You might be right, there are going to be a lot of kick returns this year, and someone has to do it.
  8. You can have all 4, (7wr, 4te) if you only keep 3 safeties (Lewis is #3). The 4th healthy safety on our team now is no better than any of them. I like Hamler's chances the least You could do that and still keep Hollins. Hollins is not on the bubble, he is more likely to be a captain than a cut Yes, only 3 healthy ones worth keeping, counting Cam
  9. QB 2 Allen, Mitch RB 4 Cook, Davis, Johnson, Gilliam WR 5 Samuel, Shakir, Coleman, Mack, Shavers TE 4 Kincaid, Knox, Morriss, Davidson-Who cares if we are heavy at TE? 6 players are inactive every week. OT 4 Dion, Spencer, VDM, Grable-on merit, no less! CG 5 Edwards, McG, cybo, SVPG, Anderson-versatile enough to be 5th OT DT 5 Ed, DqJ, Austin, Carter, Williams DE 5 Von, Groot, Epenesa, Smoot, Solomon LB 6 Milano, Bernard, Dorian W, Morrow, Deion Jones, Spector-I think people are sleeping on the new KO rules, we will need lots of choices to find winning ST group CB 5 Benford, Elam, Rasul-Dazzle, Taron, Hardy S 4 Rapp, Damar, Cam Lewis, Terrell Burgess ST 3 Bass, Miller, Reid (after getting cut so a player can go on IR) IR 3 Claypool, Mike Edwards (not really a fan, is he any good?) Cole Bishop Toughest cuts are Ingram, Kingsley and maybe Toohill. DeShawn Williams can trade out for any of those, but I've called my shot
  10. Sorry, I see how that come across now. I thought it was clear which players I was talking about. Solomon is my prediction to make the team. I just wasn't sure why you thought they would keep Olofushio(sp?) just bc he was drafted.
  11. I was surprised the team signed him, but the price was right and he does have good speed and height for going over the top. But, oh, those drops! Drops a lot of passes, more than Gabe, for real. This team has smartly been moving away from average and below pass-catchers, toward guys with superior ball skills (Kincaid, Shakir, Coleman, Davis, Samuel, and even Claypool fit this profile). Now that they have a wealth of height and hands, only his speed is a needed asset. Also, is he really that fast? Plus there's the part that he has never had a great year, and only one season with numbers comparable to Gabe's (690yds, 6TD's) even though he only ever played with 2 of the best QB's of all time. Still...he might just make the team, but my vote is no
  12. One of them will make it because he is a compelling prospect and has shown a lot of promise at camp, and would likely be claimed. One will not make it because he has yet to show much of anything, and is no threat to be picked up by another team. They cut drafted guys every year.
  13. They actually kept 6 last year
  14. Since no one can decide on the 6th WR, maybe we'll keep 4
  15. Went to the first practice. Solomon looks like the most muscular person on the team. He looks like he was drawn for Marvel by Jack Kirby or John Byrne. Good low dip when he corners, too. I see him working his way to 2nd unit, 5-8 sacks. Max Crosby ceiling.
  16. No injury status for Clayton? I wonder if they are not willing yet to let him do a pads practice. Kinda cautious, but I'd hate to see someone get hurt bc of his inexperience (also his enourmousness and speed)
  17. I totally see your point. I just kinda hate targets as a stat, kinda like rb carries is meaningless to me. WR's love the stat, as do FF players, analytics guys, and WRs' agents. I'd rather see the catch rate vs those targets, even knowing that the best wrs should ptobably not have the best rates bc of need (see Shakir's great rate compared to Diggs, doesn't make him a better wr...yet) As for Allen running, he was doing plenty of that already, and probably not enough of it in Dorsey's 10 games. Spreading the ball around will be a gift to Allen if it lets us keep the sticks moving. Incidentally, I predict a similar dip in allen's runs/game in the first half this year, and a return to usual league-stomping form in the second half, so that might not have been all about Dorsey. But Diggs getting so many targets? Definately about Dorsey, IMO.
  18. Started out the year as a slow, weak spot. McD changed the D to accentuate Poyer's strengths, minimize his weaknesses, and he finished very strong. He was closer to borderline Pro Bowl than awful. Also owes coach some of that Miami sucker $.
  19. Targets come from qb's. I don't think we will be missing targets, or needing to make up targets. Make up catches, make up YAC's, make up TD's: those come from receivers.
  20. I guess I'm just not worried about Douglas having a poor camp. i've never seen him in camp, maybe he's the type that saves it for the games. Also, I like all 3, (4, counting Taron) so I'm averse to rooting for a guy to lose out. Benford starting over Elam has seemed to me to be more about Benford than Elam. This year Elam is healthy and with different coaches, and Benford is less healthy. We are loaded and I love it.
  21. perhaps rated so high because he let someone lie about his height. Either that or he shrank 2 inches
  22. Claypool played teams last year, signed with us with understanding that he would play teams. Don't count him out
  23. Cool thing, they come out of the tunnel together every day. Fighting for a starting job, helping each other out, all for the team. Hell yes, I'm rooting for them!
