I feel a lot better about Bernard chasing down Kelce at Arrowhead in late January than I felt about AJ Klein at home last year. So that helps. Bernard is fine. If Derrick Henry is hitting the 2nd level against Bernard, I don't love our chances. McD is going to have to change his philosophy for a game like that. But Bernard is a solid enough player. If he gets an Edmunds longterm deal, I'll definitely pass. But if he can be had on a cheaper deal I'm definitely interested. But in general I just kind of like the idea of drafting a LB in the mid rounds every year and having them develop, move on, rinse, repeat.

Vrabel would be a really good hire but I would think/hope Vrabel wants a better situation. But coaches have egos that tell them they can be the hero of all of NYC by taking this job.

Milano looked good Sunday although my 5'9 160 lb self may have been able to complete at linebacker against that Jets team. But Milano is still trending well. He's pretty key to the playoffs in my opinion. I don't have high hopes for the defensive line to bring their A game for 60 minutes a night so Milano/Bernard need to be there to stop the run and at least slow down the pass game

Steelers fans will tell you relentlessly that they're "built" to beat the Ravens but the Steelers are in free fall mode and as much as I hate to say it, the Ravens look really darn good right now. My hope is actually that the Steelers get the 5 seed and then Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers can knock off his brother in the first round of the playoffs. Ravens at Highmark scare me more than us at Arrowhead currently. Hopefully playoff Lamar shows up

Ulofoshio is one for me. Even in case of a dire emergency I don't think he'll have a role this season but he's a long term guy I'm interested in. Grable is another for me. They clearly like him a lot. SVGP of course but I'm not sure they'd even turn to him if McGovern went down this season. From guys who might actually be counted on in case of emergency (injuries) in the playoffs. Definitely more Bishop and I'd like to see Elam back there again. And then Solomon who I believe can still be a situational pass rusher if everyone else is running in sand in the playoffs (which seems to happen too often).

Do you want the Bills to win this week?
stlbills13 replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Staying healthy is the most important thing but with the Patriots already having a QB, I don't really care about them getting the 1st pick. Sure they could trade it for a haul but I don't think the #1 overall pick this year garners the same draft capital as other years. -
Willing to buy a single for any playoff round. Gotta fly in from St Louis so hoping for a decent deal on a ticket but willing to discuss it. DM me if you have anything. Also willing to buy a pair of tickets if easier for you to sell

Philly at the super bowl champion Buffalo Bills on TNF to open the season?

Not a first round game, but I'll predict that Ravens at Bills is the best game of the entire playoffs in terms of actual football. I might even say those are the two best teams in football.

The NFL likes a 4/5 matchup on the MNF game because it has the least re-seeding impacts on future games. They can have the divisional round schedule set going into that game with no alternative schedules. Pitt @ Houston would be the most likely Saturday early slot game. It would also be a really boring game. If current results hold, this is how I think it'll play out Saturday afternoon: Pitt at Houston - Probably the 2 worst teams in the playoffs. No generational QB (sorry CJ). Injuries galore. Saturday night: Packers at Eagles - Could flip with Sunday night but this just screams an under the lights game to me Sunday early: Broncos at Bills - Maybe could get pushed with Broncos being multiple timezones behind but I don't see this as a night game Sunday afternoon: Commanders at Rams - Could potentially be a night game with Daniels in primetime but this feels like the typical FOX game to me Sunday night: Chargers at Ravens - Harbaugh Bowl will be primetime Monday night: Vikings at Bucs - 4/5 matchup to finish so that the schedule can be set. Legit good game.

Cincy is my least desirable opponent. That defense is terrible but Burrow and those WR's will keep them in any game. But I just don't see it being Cincy. The Chiefs may play the starters for a bit against Denver (I wouldn't play them at all personally) but they won't play the whole game. Denver is at home and desperate and they should win. Even if they don't, the Jets have quit on their season for 2 months and the Dolphins will beat them. Cincy's road to getting in is just too difficult. Miami is probably 2nd for me. We own them but I just don't love facing a divisional team. But get Tua and co in the cold and that probably neutralizes any familiarity aspect. Denver has a legit defense. But as others have said, Surtain is neutralized given how our offense runs. Josh can help negate a good pass rush and we have a very solid offensive line. I'm a believer in Bo Nix but I'll take my chances with a rookie QB on the road in the cold in January. Benford can shut down Sutton and then what do they have beyond that?

Thought he looked better although I'm pretty sure 11 of us could have gone out there and looked good against the Jets offense yesterday. I'd give him a few series against NE just for the reps but he needs to be healthy for the playoffs. I don't want AJ Klein covering Kelce at Arrowhead

If I were the Patriots I may sit Maye next week even if I wasn't in the running for the 1st overall pick. He's going to be good. I wouldn't risk his health even if it's a super small chance of a long injury. I hope the Bills win every game we play. But we just must stay healthy heading into the playoffs.

Random talking head says something about the Bills

Every coach can't win the big game until they do. But Sean's defense does need to show up in the playoffs this year. This is as healthy as they've been. If this season ends up in another early departure, I think the defensive personnel needs a complete overhaul -
Coleman shows up Allen on first TD target

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.
stlbills13 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean the ravens are good and the chiefs at arrowhead in January is not exactly appealing. Still have faith in this superhero version of josh allen though -
Controversial opinion: Elam was pretty solid
stlbills13 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is a fine 4th stringer. Just sucks to use a 1st round pick on that role -
Anyone remotely iffy should sit at this point. But the defensive line is still a big concern and so is decisions to turn to guys like Spector
