  1. Yeah I mean I'd trade him straight up for Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase too but I would guess the Vikings or Bengals won't so Diggs will still be hoisting the Lombardi as a Buffalo Bill in February.
  2. 1) Bills - Still far and away the best team in the division for me but I expect them to make everything about the postseason and maybe they don't show their best every week in the regular season. Something like a 12-5 or 11-6 record 2) Jets - I think the Dolphins are better but the Jets get to play a last place schedule. Rodgers isn't totally washed up but he isn't the QB that will go win games by himself anymore. The Jets have the talent to support him though. They aren't Super Bowl contenders but they have elite players at all the important positions except QB and at least their QB is a Super Bowl winner/MVP even if he's a shell of himself. 3) Dolphins - I actually think they're really really good everywhere except QB. Even a totally healthy Tua just makes me think of them as a Vikings or Cowboys type team of the past decade where they are never real contenders because they don't have an elite QB and they have a coach who overthinks things 4) Patriots - They will be better but Jones just isn't the guy for me. Having a real OC will help him and the whole offense. They'll do something like beat the Eagles in Week 1 and then be 1-4 after 5 weeks
  3. I was convinced Diggs and Allen wouldn't work. I thought it was a horrible move for both Diggs and the Bills.
  4. Diggs is going to cook Sauce in week 1. 9 catches, 183 yards, 2 TD's. All will be forgiven and forgotten. Until we lay an egg in like week 4 and then Diggs posts a picture of him in a Jags uniform on instagram. Everyone freaks out. The rest of the season is up and down but we finish 13-4 and just lose out on the 1 seed. After winning a game that is a little too close in the Wild Card round, we host the red hot Bengals in a snowy OP. The offense is quiet throughout and the defense struggles. But this time we hang around until it's a 27-21 game with just 13 seconds left and we have the ball at our own 43 yard line. Allen hits Diggs on a post route and he splits the safety and corner and takes it to the house for the game winning TD. We going into Arrowhead the next week and blow the Chiefs out to head to the Super Bowl. Then a once in a 100 year virus hits for the 2nd time in 5 years and the Super Bowl gets canceled.
  5. He's pissed but he'll be back when it matters. He's untradeable/uncuttable especially at this point in the offseason and he knows that. Who knows what or who he's upset with. I'd guess he communicated some concerns yesterday to McD and Beane and now McD is exaggerating the situation by saying he's "very concerned" as a way to show Diggs that he cares. Hope Kincaid, Davis, Shakier, Harty, etc enjoy the extra reps and step up over the next few months. You want your stars on the field but maybe some positives come from it
  6. Not a lock but it shouldn't surprise anyone to see them in contention late in the year. They're a solid team with an easy path to the 1 seed and that's not really meant to be a knock. But I'm just not quite sure they're ready to consistently feast on an easy schedule. All divisional games are hard even if it's against rookie QB's
  7. I think you'll see more creativity, more aggression, and less predictability. Partly because the defensive has to be healthier (fingers crossed) and because there is more depth. The real question for me though is what will be different in the playoffs. That's where the defense has failed the past two seasons. You have to be able to get pressure with 4 guys against Burrow and Mahomes or you have to be really creative and disguise everything you do.
  8. I think Floyd is really going to be a factor for us even if he only racks up 6 or 7 sacks. He'll draw more attention and at least pressure the QB. I also expect him and Von to peak in January/February and that's most important. I also love the depth on both the offensive and defensive line (except maybe the OT's). If you aren't producing (especially on the DL), there is someone nipping at your heals ready to take your spot on the field. That is as big of a motivator as anything.
  9. Hes not a guy who will wreck a gameplan and most likely will never be the focal point of the opposing offensive line but he takes advantage of that and produces especially when he is surrounded by other talented players. He's gonna pressure the QB
  10. Protect your QB and get to the other QB. Thats how you win a Super Bowl with a franchise QB like Josh Allen. Love it
  11. It's an overpay for his production/impact thus far in his career. If he had a big year and hit free agency, it'd likely be an underpay. Now he has to produce. I don't hate the idea of proactive deals and it's clear teams are prioritizing pass rushing DTs so we have ours locked up now. But he has to be better than he's been. If it opens cap space for a vet DE or Hopkins then it's a really good deal.
  12. Optimism - Josh Allen is the quarterback - The offensive line was addressed and I think it was addressed with intention (run the ball more) - Rookie TE's struggle but Kincaid should be able to contribute in unique ways - McD calling the defense. I still think we'll find this frustrating but I think he's at least going to be more innovative - Healthier secondary - Josh Allen is the quarterback - Better run stuffers on the d line to offset the loss of Edmunds - They know they focked up against Cincy last year and realize they have to take a big step up - Von should be healthy and up to speed when it most matters - I think Damien Harris and James Cook will take a huge load off Allen's shoulders and be one of the better backfields in the NFL even if lower volume - Josh Allen is the quarterback Pessimism - I love a few of the rookies but will McD let them play early and often? - Von won't be a force from week 1 - We'll see about Hopkins but the WR room is still a little light on difference makers. Good players but you have to scheme them correctly - Diggs seems all over the place now. He'll be fine but I guess there's a chance he's not - The division is good. I think Rodgers has taken a step back but he's still a big upgrade on a sneaky team last year. The Dolphins are going to be a factor. The Patriots suck but BB can scheme up a win - You're still chasing the Chiefs and Bengals until you beat them when it matters. They didn't get worse - Jags are ascending. Ravens will at least be a good regular season team. Schedule is challenging - I think we have a great regular season coaching staff but still some work to be done in the postseason. It's a different ballgame even if you don't want to admit it
  13. Alex Austin is a good choice. I think he profiles as a great depth corner who you can start in a pinch or put on the field in nickel situations and not be concerned. Lots of defensive backs actually could fit this question for me, even some of the veteran guys. But I'll go with Nyheim Hines. I think we're going to hear all about him being a huge weapon out of the backfield and even in the slot. I don't know that it'll actually happen but he seems like the type of guy who plays everywhere in camp and looks like he's poised for a bigger sesaon than expected.
  14. Hes a Bill or a Chief unless someone offers him a stupid contract. He'd be a Jet but he was never a middling role player for the Packers
  15. Just saw a leak that our last game of the season is February 11th in Vegas. Rumored opponents are the Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys, Giants, and even Lions.
  16. It's a good signing but he's a downgrade who's going to eat up a good amount of cash
  17. I think the roster is better and the team is healthier (assuming Von is fully healthy by mid season). But the schedule is seriously brutal this year and the Jets schedule is great and the way last season ended is taking away hype. But i still see us winning the division. Get at least one home game in the playoffs and then take it from there.
  18. I'm not trying to overreact to a guy who may not even play 50% of the snaps but this is a Super Bowl winning move to me. The top teams live off short term moves like this every year
  19. They are very committed to Brown. I think it's partly because they truly believe in him and partly because they're stubbornly doubling down on that investment. I'd love to see a guy like Wynn come in but I'm doubting it. And I trust Beane but everyone has misses here and there.
  20. I'm not a huge Oliver believer but contract years are a real thing and if he has a great season, we could be holding the Lombardi. If he prices himself out and we get a 3rd round pick, then that's perfectly fine with me. The Hopkins dream is dead so the cap space doesn't matter much to me
  21. This is the first pick I haven't really liked but it's fine after the trade down. I'm always a fan of shooting for huge upside in the 5th round or later. The roster doesn't have a ton of holes but i would have liked a defender
  22. I actually like the player quite a bit but it just doesn't really fill a need. With so few picks, I was hoping to address that hole but we'll see how the rest of the off-season goes
  23. Hopefully this also means a little more commitment to the run game with Cook and Harris
  24. No reasonable front office would draft an olineman who is not a good scheme fit. He'll be fine.
  25. Trade away the 5th and 6th rounders and go get Sanders early in the 3rd and just call it a draft. I know no GM would ever do that but it'd be a damn good 3 picks
