I'm guessing like a Darius Slayton, a depth pass rusher, and a depth run stopper. Then use the extra 2nd to trade up in either the 1st or 2nd. Not saying that's what I'd do or what I want but seems like the plan they're going to take.
Wonder how much cap space we opened up. Obviously we aren't just going sit on it but there are still a few of our own guys to re-sign plus further extensions.
Going to be a busy spring for Beane. So far he's 1/1 in my opinion. And I'd say maybe 3/3 or 4/4 in terms of the coaching moves made too although that's not all him
I think it's underrated how important it is to even have 1 stud on the defensive line to draw attention. Whether it be a double team, forcing the pocket to move, forcing the QB to be even slightly jittery or speed up his eyes, etc.
It's one of two things and I'm honestly not sure what's worse
The NFL is straight up rigged for the chiefs
Or
The NFL refs are really really bad with every questionable/wrong call going to the same team (Chiefs) and the NFL doesn't do anything about it
It's just unfortunate that once again the reffing stole the show in a big game. The fact that it seems there is no effort to improve it might be the biggest reason people call conspiracy for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs writers wouldn't ask any questions plus wanted to cover the championship celebration. The Bills writers are a little too touchy feely and wanted to see the emotions of the team rather than meet with the refs. That all being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the refs/NFL didn't bring up the topic and/or make the offer
I would say DE, CB, DT, and WR all about equally needed right now. I take the best available one every time we pick essentially. One position of those 4 is not so much more needed than the other that I'd pass up a greater talent just to fill a certain position.
