  1. Nothing official, but there's no rush, since he can practice with the team and play in preseason games. Maybe if he signs up as another one of Tony Dungy's clients, Goodell will cut him a break?
  2. Oh, I'm sure we can start this fun discussion all over again the next time he has a hangnail, or allows a "sack" in non-contact drills, or anyone mentions the Bills' current depth chart at LT. Can't wait.
  3. Some more maps (I'll keep adding and updating this whenever I get more info): Pro Football Hall of Fame Stark County Fairgrounds -- park-and-ride to Hall (**REMINDER: There is NO parking available at the Hall itself for either the enshrinement or game -- all their normal lots are either filled with merchandise/food tents, or restricted to buses and media use. Here's the official parking info on the HOF Web site. However, some nearby residents do park cars on their property, just like Orchard Park.) Directions from Ken's tailgate to Hall other "go-to" bars/restaurants, according to Ken: The Pub / their website 5252 Dressler Rd, Canton, OH The Stables Restaurant and Hall of Fame Grille (formerly owned by Chris Spielman) 2317 13th St NW, Canton, OH Other links of interest: Pro Football Hall of Fame: Enshrinement Central Canton Stark County Convention & Visitors' Bureau
  4. To whom it may concern, Peters practiced this morning. Crisis over. Have a nice day.
  5. Whether or not he goes to the game, the tailgate is on for both days.
  6. For those of you from the Olean/Bradford area ... The recent domination by the Keystone State continues. I haven't compiled my stats yet, but I believe I heard Chuck Pollock tell Pennsy coach Mark Morelli that his D had held New York to 60 yards of total offense. Sounds about right, since their first five possessions were four three-and-outs and an INT, and they never crossed midfield until a kickoff return with fewer than 30 second remaining in the first half. Indeed, if Pennsy hadn't shot itself in the foot early and often (fumbling on the NY 5, coming up inches short of a first down on a fake FG, and getting another FG attempt blocked), the score may have been very different. Then again, if Cameron County RB Andrew Kesterholt doesn't make the play of the night early in the second quarter, tipping a pass away from a NY defender and hauling it in for a 61-yard touchdown, it's hard telling how the game would have played out. That makes five out of the last six for the Pennsylvanians, and New York's lead in the series is now down to 18-16-2.
  7. FWIW, McGee had his left wrist taped by a trainer during both of the Sunday practices. He still participated in all the catching drills, so it couldn't have been anything too major, but it was definitely noticeable. As for Edwards ... the way the backups have looked, they need all the reps they can get.
  8. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...bb-71c7f995f0e3 Signed Mace and former Pats DB Antwain Spann, waiving UDFAs Ventrell Jenkins and Dan Urrego to make room for them.
  9. But your post was written more than an hour after Booster's, which perfectly matches the original minus Booster's added bolding. And since neither the word nor the placement make any sense -- looks like someone had "Tritium" copied to their clipboard, then randomly hit CTRL-V by mistake -- the only other possible explanation would be a glitch in the board software. (And don't rule out that possibility.)
  10. Jim's correct about the times, John; when someone quotes a post, it shows the time zone they're in, not the one of the person being quoted. That said ... here's the post in question, as quoted in Booster's reply seven minutes later: Don't see any mention of tritium. That leaves a very small window for an edit, even less so for someone who was admittedly imbibing at the time and probably not overly inclined to proof his copy. Carry on ...
  11. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...ewsletter073109 Full disclosure: although people I've covered have joked to me about buying the paper when they were in it, I have never once written a story thinking it would "sell more papers," and I take offense to that tired cliche.
  12. So, even though ManRam and Big Pill-Poppy are on the 2003 list, you're willing to believe they cleaned up after that? (Well, until Ramirez' latest little "misunderstanding.") Eh. And for the record, I hate all Boston and NYC teams equally.
  13. Right. We talked about that on the walk back to the car on Saturday.
  14. The wings are actually quite good. The nasty stuff in the back of the Pinto is just for show; he's the only one who ever touches that. Location: Lot 1, directly east of Pole 5 (where we're at). Walk south from the fieldhouse, hang a left at Pole 5 (say hi as you go by the blue Dodge van and black Torrent), and the Pinto is up against the guardrail at the edge of the lot.
  15. Report: Vick works out for Patriots But on the other hand ... @SI_PeterKingThis is what I'm hearing on Michael Vick: he wasn't in Foxborough this afternoon, at least not at Gillette Stadium... And now ... Vick did not work out for Patriots
  16. Actually, I think Joe Cahn's the one who did that, and Ken still picks on him about it ...
  17. Or Langston knows the move isn't a good fit, as Leo and Sal (and the poster before me, although I can do without the "you morons" talk) pointed out.
  18. Nah, it didn't hit 90 in '03 (Joe D/Lofton). Of course, that was only because it rained off and on all friggin' day ...
  19. Every time Ken starts digging through the back of the car looking for the "rally chips" and such to show them to a newbie, I start looking for a place to puke. That said, he's still one of the coolest people in the world to hang around with, and I'm looking forward to a weekend of tailgating in Canton. (Oh yeah, there's some ceremony, too. And a game, I think.)
  20. Hmmm. Looks like he'll be in Latrobe the same day I was planning on stopping through there.
