  1. Yeah, that would help, wouldn't it? For those in the Buffalo area, WECK is at 1230 AM, or you can tune in the Webcast online. PTR, I'm not a fan either. But the guy did coach Bruce Smith and work for Ralph Wilson, so it makes sense for Brad to talk to him this week.
  2. From Brad: "Riter Radio is kicking it old school with Chuck Dickerson today at 5 and Larry Felser next week Tuesday at 4." Dickerson will be on (by phone) for the first segment at 5 p.m. today; Felser will be IN STUDIO for an entire hour next week.
  3. Now whatever could possibly give you that idea?
  4. Good luck, and don't be nervous. (Yeah, easier said than done, right?) If you're asking from a Buffalo perspective, have him compare/contrast Fewell's and Ryan's defensive philosophy, which is more demanding to learn and implement, which style the players enjoy more. (The last one is probably obvious, seeing that he followed Ryan to NY. Was that move based entirely on the money involved, or did the chance to keep playing for Ryan factor into his decision?) (Edit: or what HunkyDunky said while I was busy typing ... )
  5. Agreed, Shaw is a true gentleman. I asked him for an autograph the fall before he was elected to the Hall, told him I'd be back to have him add the "HOF" to his signature, and HE thanked ME. (I've seen him several times since then, and he's mentioned that hat more than once ...)
  6. 1. How do you know precisely what they're asking? (i.e., if you're referencing a specific video clip, let me know so I can subject myself to the boredom too. ) 2. Why do you think he'd give them an honest, forthright answer when his past performance suggests the opposite reaction? 3. Looking at the most recent transcript posted on the media section of bb.com from Saturday afternoon, there's not a single reference to Owens.
  7. Is it worth $200 to you? https://www.profootballhof.com/enshrinement/2009/5/27/3275/
  8. Scotty is the reigning champion of camera magnets. I can't remember the last time I sat through an entire home game without seeing him on the Jumbotron ...
  9. Was that Brooks, or Odell Thurman? Thought Aaron Brooks was the Saints QB.
  10. Doubt the car makes the trip, but the bowling ball definitely will.
  11. You know, you could just stop clicking on it. Yeah, riiiight.
  12. Al Lucas, formerly a DT for the Panthers, died after suffering a spinal-cord injury in an Arena League game in 2005. Think that was the last major one resulting directly from an injury. SF lineman Thomas Herrion collapsed and died shortly after a preseason game later that summer. Korey Stringer (2001) also come to mind.
  13. Phew. When I read the title, I thought we'd fried something else. Glad to hear it's GOOD news. But yeah, regarding the Rosening of the board, it's still early yet.
  14. Guessing the Sheetz stores he stopped at in PA didn't sell the NYT. On weekdays, ours carries nothing but the two local dailies.
  15. Rich and Darin: just the induction, or sticking around for the game too?
  16. Far as I know, that's actually a release from http://www.ontheblacktop.com/ meant for public distribution, so I'm all right with it. I did edit the e-mail address so the spambots have a harder time finding it, though.
