  2. Thanks for the kind words. Correct -- my bet-hedging nature makes it difficult to pick scores.
  3. Pats inactives: Connolly, Edelman, Green-Ellis, Ohrnberger, Pryor, Simmons, Slater and Wheatley. That leaves just four WRs (including Sam Aiken), which all but guarantees that Welker is just fine. Interesting that rookie Darius Butler is active at CB ahead of Terrence Wheatley. Pryor leaves them with paper-thin depth at DE, which could mean more 3-4 (or a lot of Burgess).
  4. DE: Schobel, Denney, Kelsay, Maybin CB: McGee, McKelvin, Corner, Youboty Not sure they'd normally activate more than four at either position.
  5. Johnson, Florence, Lankster, Palmer, Chambers, Fine, Ellis.
  6. My question is, how long is McNabb gone for? Believe Kolb's the only other QB on the active roster right now. No link yet on Feeley, but this via Darin Gantt, the beat guy from Rock Hill: "McCown was going to miss too much time to sit, so the #Panthers are going to IR him. Sounds like AJ Feeley's on his way here." Schefter's also reporting both moves.
  7. Oh, and since someone mentioned it, yes: QB Tom Brady, probable (right shoulder).
  8. Darin Gantt, Rock Hill (S.C.) Herald: Feeley on his way, after McCown to IR ESPN: McNabb uncertain; Garcia agrees
  9. Yup. Phil mentioned the Tasker move. IIRC, Tasker may have even been the one who suggested it.
  10. @mortreport: Yes, Wesley Welker is good to go tonight.. full go as far as I know.
  11. Hmmm, let me see .... (pondering) Nope, still don't care what Bruschi thinks.
  12. This may be a last-minute announcement, but Fine hasn't practiced all week. That suggests gamesmanship, not a panic decision.
  13. Depends on whether or not Fine is fine by then. They've already snuck Stupar through waivers once, though...
  14. Didn't think 86 was much of a blocker before he got hurt.
  15. I like it. Nothing personal, Justin, but there are other ST gunners on the team. Blocking TEs, not so much.
  16. Really? He's the one who broke the news of Walker's release.

  18. Yeah, so we could play Roethlisomething twice a year instead?
  19. Back at ya, Bill. See you soon. And don't listen to that R. Rich guy...
  20. Based on the apparent edit in the piece, I'm guessing that already happened.
  21. Gee. What a surprise. First time that's ever happened, I'd wager. Maybin tweeted about it at roughly 1:30 a.m. ...
  22. Detroit had blackouts toward the end of last season. As for Buffalo, perhaps Mr. King should head over to the media portion of the Bills' Web site, where he can find this press release:
