  1. You mean Diane (aussie), right? Thanks go to her for this one -- she did a TON of work to set things up. Good meeting you, by the way. And anyone who doesn't think there were many, many Bills fans there wasn't watching the same game I was. Then again, I had a better view.
  2. Nope. Bills rolled the Panthers -- 31-9, I think -- in that game at Rich Stadium. Only Panthers win in the series was the last meeting, in 2005.
  3. Good take, Fishfinder. Sure you shouldn't be writing these instead? P.S.: hangin' with Ken, Scott, Aussie, Cowgirls Fan, and Jay. Saw Sully at the team hotel, made a wisecrack about his WGR t-shirt. And drunk posting is probably NOT a good idea, so maybe I'd better catch y'all in the morning instead.
  4. Greetings from Charlotte! http://www.twobillsdrive.com/buffalo-bills/game-day/1146/ Drinking time.
  5. Injuries had a lot to do with it, IMO. Here's a recap from last year -- Sisyphean provided the numbers; the explanations for same are mine: If anything, he's almost too loyal to the guy who's starting that week. Another coach wouldn't have given either McNown or Stewart half the season, and he apparently thought he owed Losman a chance to retake the job after Edwards' injury. And if Jim Miller had managed to stay healthy, those numbers above -- and the Bears' W-L records for those seasons -- would look a lot different. Updating it, I do not believe Jauron makes a QB switch at any point in 2008 if Edwards stays healthy. Ditto this year, when most of us out here in the peanut gallery would have yanked No. 5 out of at least one game by now.
  6. As you might have guessed, Roscoe's not happy about sitting out: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-b...p&type=lgns
  7. Realizing that you typed that with sarcastic intent, if Buffett DID buy the team, he'd leave it in Buffalo to keep providing content for the newspaper he owns there. Just sayin' ... Hmm. Maybe that thought deserves further consideration. Whaddaya say, WB?
  8. The PA guys have done a fantastic job on theirs. (Shameless plug -- a friend did all the stadium maps, and I gave them last year's updates for our conference ...)
  9. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...rds-in-carolina Yes, there's a definite head-injury protocol. As Tim noted, Jauron mentioned it today. From the conference call with the Carolina reporters:
  10. So it's YOUR fault. Should've known.
  11. Eh. Might have made '84 and '85 a little more watchable. Then again, as you pointed out, he 1.) may have gotten his brains bashed in, or 2.) may have played well enough to cost the Bills Bruce Smith. Fun read. Thanks.
  12. Mike Vaccaro has a GREAT story to tell about that. I'll see if I can find it ... ah yes, here it is (although the coding is messed up. I'll edit.) http://thebiglead.com/?p=2091#more-2091

  14. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20091020...+Manning+jersey FWIW, when he did this, he was introducing Tony Dungy at a charity event...
  15. Not really, unless the Titans needed that as one of their three games. Hmm. They wore their faux-Oilers stuff on Sunday; let me check to see what other games they might have. (Of course, it's a little harder for them, since they don't have any old AFL rivals in their division.) Back. Okay, San Diego and Buffalo are the only two original AFL teams on their home schedule. (Miami, as you probably know, wasn't one of the original eight ... which is why it's funny/strange that the Bills chose that game.) Not sure why Tenny wouldn't have gone with the Chargers game instead, especially since it's on NFLN.
  16. Her "Friends" appearances were in 2001, well after her diagnosis. And I didn't need more proof that Simmons is an !@#$ ...
  17. Hah. I figured you did it on purpose just to mess with me. Please don't add me to the list in your sig ...
  18. That is AWESOME. (And yeah, we'd be absolutely killing Jauron if he did the same thing.) Fisher. (There's one of each spelling on one of the teams here, so you'd better believe I take great pains to get that one right.)

  20. Now, remember, the Bills could always pull something out of the hat like they did for the Tampa road game. (Of course, they also got fined for showing up with the throwbacks that week.) That said, here's the official boilerplate from this week's release:
  21. Cleveland's offense didn't exactly do much to win that game. Unfortunately for us, Buffalo's did less.
  22. Nasty, nasty shot which absolutely deserved both fine and suspension. Heck, that's even a charging penalty in hockey.
