  1. Y'all come up to a game any time soon, I'll make sure the bottle of Jameson's travels with me. The Scotch, I can't help you with.
  2. I have no comment on which subset I fall into.
  3. Not always; Marshall Goldberg didn't make it last year. Little shouldn't have. (And yeah, I saw him play.) Since he did, they'd better be prepared to put in Marshall Faulk AND Jerome Bettis AND Curtis Martin next year, because all three have a lot better argument than he did. And I'll be submitting Lawrence McCutcheon's name to the Seniors Committee: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McCuLa00.htm Or perhaps Washington's Larry Brown: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BrowLa01.htm
  4. Think that might fall into the category of questions he can't answer.
  5. Good to see ya, Sphere. Keep getting better. And if nothing else, now we know who has the real writing talent in the family ...
  6. And this is in reference to ......? I didn't realize anyone was still talking about Omon.
  7. Okay, now that is insane. Heck, I got nervous when I took the funicular down that hill on our class trip to Quebec. To SKATE down it?
  8. If I'm thinking right, that's the exit ramp for Dunn Tire Coca-Cola Park. So yeah, you could probably get up a good head of steam going down that thing ... Crash helmet optional.
  9. Think I've seen a few chunks of carrots and celery floating around in theirs, too. But yeah, the base is definitely a cream-of-chicken type with a liberal dose of Frank's Red Hot added to it.
  10. http://www.wkbw.com/news/local/83663052.html Not sure whether that sounds totally freaking awesome, or a good way to end up in the hospital, or both ...
  11. It's actually a pretty cool sport (pun not intended). What could be better than giant shuffleboard on ice? And with Canadian beer involved?
  12. All kidding aside: Safe travels, my friend. Drop by when you can, and we'll see you when you get back.
  13. Curling. Eh. Must be a Canuck thing. (Before anyone takes offense, I'm kidding with the "Canuck thing." Our part of the family has been down here for a couple of generations now, but I still have plenty of cousins north of Lake Ontario ...) Another link people might find of interest in the next few weeks: http://wintergames.ap.org/
  14. Strangely enough, I just added http://twitter.com/AP_WinterGames to my list. Enjoy the trip, JW. (Or, more likely, enjoy the interior of the media workroom there...)
  15. Mark Gaughan at the keyboard now: http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/201...-live-chat.html Also, great read on Frank Reich from him in today's News: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/946167.html Graham's on the schedule for 3pm: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/...gger-tim-graham
  16. Judging by some of the early comments, the original story did say "Bear County." Get me rewrite! Don't know what the big deal is, though -- by the time this kid graduates, Kiffin will have moved at least twice more, and USC will be on probation from his tenure there. And parents, if you see Kiffin parked outside your child's middle school, don't be nervous. He's just recruiting.
  17. Nope. Jets drafted him.
  18. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/02/n...an_was_spi.html I heard a rumor about this version of events from one of the other NYC guys after my previous posts in this thread. If it's true, I'm amazed that he didn't go into the stands after the guy.
  19. That's Clayton's story ... but I saw the same timeline error (since corrected) in Maiorana's first writethru for the D+C, so I wonder if they were given some bad info.
  20. Your crusade grows tiresome.
  21. What makes you think the mods have anything to do with the front page?
  22. On the other hand, maybe he'll finally learn how to read the 3-4...
  23. With Dallas while Gailey was there. Surprised?
