  1. I'm reaching the same conclusion regarding most everything from that site. They are persistent, though... I'll give 'em that.
  2. EDIT: included what little 'new' news the 6pm broadcasts carried.
  3. Now I need to ask myself - am I mildly amusing, or just another 'tard on the coaster?
  4. 7's "Two-Minute Drill" led with, you guessed it, more footage of Sherman at the airport. Not the same as yesterday's, though - with the weather changing for the worse overnight, he was nattily attired in a heavier coat. Excitement personified. The word from Cottrell's agent is interesting, though. If not him, then who will be Buffalo's "not a token minority" minority candidate? From the 6:00 PM broadcasts: WGRZ 2 - Sherman arrived at One Bills Drive around 9:15 AM and spent about 5 hours with RCW and Marv. Flight left at 3; no comment to the media before he left. Kilgore again suggests Jauron might have an edge. Haslett has NOT been contacted. WIVB 4 - Confirms Cottrell's "no contact", via the Associated Press. WKBW 7 - Unlike 4, Jeff Russo apparently spoke to Cottrell's agent directly. Also noted the lack of Haslett news.
  5. Horse's something, anyway...
  6. Five years, to be exact. Hired by TD early on; he was a scout with the Browns before that...
  7. Assuming it's the same that they showed on the 11PM broadcasts; exciting stuff. Sherman and John Guy walking through the airport.
  8. Only one problem with that... we don't have Bruce, Thurman, Andre, and Jim any more.
  9. Not much new. Kilgore figures Marv/RCW will make a quick decision once they've finished interviewing Sherman.
  10. As previously noted - RCW liked Jauron the last time he interviewed here. Also mentioned the STRONG possibility that Sherman would indeed bring Bates with him if he's the guy. (from the rebroadcast of the 7PM Total Access; apologies in advance if previously posted. I've been distracted with a balky DSL install for a good part of the evening...) About time for the local TV guys to chime in...
  11. Depends on how much Jackson thinks he's worth, how much he's really worth, and who gets taken with the top 7 picks...
  12. Just out of curiosity... last time TD hired a HC, weren't people all over him for making the deal with Mularkey instead of waiting to talk to the guys whose teams were still in the playoffs? (Weis, Crennell, et al.) Mularkey was hired on January 14th of '04, and it was too soon. Today's date is January 17th, the conference championship games haven't been played (meaning guys like Grimm can't even be interviewed yet), and this time the Bills are dragging their feet?
  13. What WVU said. No problem there. No problem at all, going from zero legitimate two-gap DTs to TWO, especially in hot-weather games. (At his age/weight, I wouldn't expect Jackson to get over half the defensive snaps no matter what...)
  14. Washington spent boatloads of money on Steve Spurrier and Marty Schottenheimer, too. Where did that get them?
  15. -Because we've heard of him? -Because he used to play for the Bills? -Because he once stepped on Terry Bradshaw's head? (Come to think of it, that last one may be a valid enough reason.... )
  16. I bet we could've traded him straight up for Belichick. Dammit, too late now...
  17. Not sure... but it would probably help.
  18. No. LeBeau left in the '03-'04 offseason and was on Pittsburgh's sideline last January.
  19. Even though they haven't even interviewed anyone yet? I didn't realize Clayton and Mortenson get their "inside information" from Miss Cleo.
  20. So did nine other coaches. (Belichick twice, as usual.) Come to think of it, three of the five teams the Bills beat have already made offseason HC moves, too...
