  1. That may well be the funniest thing I've ever read on TSW.
  2. Izzat so. Hi, John! How's the weather out there in Seattle? (If Pencilneck is actually lurking TSW looking for "inside info", we're going to have to come up with some better nicknames for him.... )
  3. Tell me those weren't the exact words he used. Please? Because if that IS precisely what he said, then am I ever gonna have fun with this: Posted by: Lori Jan 19 2006, 02:13 PM Bills bucking the current trend if they hire anyone with HC experience
  4. Prisco's notebook Something else I found interesting in that column....
  5. That was while TD was there. He's not there any more. Just something to think about...
  6. April is still under contract.
  7. And yet, Donahoe changed his mind about that subject once he got to Buffalo....
  8. Joe Ferguson Update Page Mark Gaughan's article from Monday's Buffalo News
  9. Simple question: do you just act dumb on the Internet, or are you this way all the time?
  10. I just KNEW we were gonna pay for that "Son of Satan" thread....
  11. What the heck has ANYONE done with the Lions since Millen took over as GM? (And for a long time before that, come to think of it...)
  12. Yes, since we know teams need first-round RBs to succeed. Or do we? Shaun Alexander is the only first-round pick starting at RB this weekend. The others: Carolina - Nick Goings (UDFA). DeShaun Foster was a 2nd-round pick. Denver - Tatum Bell (2nd) or Mike Anderson (6th) Pittsburgh - Willie Parker (UDFA) Last year's champs had Corey Dillon (2nd) at RB; their opponents, the Eagles, had Brian Westbrook (3rd). Bucs had Michael Pittman (4th), the year they beat the Raiders and Charlie Garner (2nd). And I hear the Bills had a decent second-round pick at RB themselves, once upon a time. Thurman something-or-other....
  13. Forget? I'm actively trying to block those memories. Thanks for the help. PS: check out Marty M's or Killdrive's coaching records. They'll give you some respect for Gregg and Mike... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/index.htm
  14. Jets need a lot more help on O than they do depth on D. Bradway screwed up when he let Kareem McKenzie leave, and Kevin Mawae isn't getting any younger.... Dunno if they'll use their #1 there, but they're going to have to draft/sign in FA at LEAST two o-linemen. Just my opinion...
  15. Great. "Measurables". Coy Wire had great combine stats. So did Corey Moore. So did Mike Mamula. I suggest you take your own advice. Do this board a favor, and realize there are people who may well disagree with your opinion. Thank you.
  16. Yes, you probably are. But can we watch?
  17. Except for the Chiefs' trade for Herm Edwards, every other head coach hired so far this offseason is a first-timer: Jets - Mangini Rams - Linehan Vikings - Childress Packers - McCarthy Saints - Payton Lions - Marinelli If the Kubiak rumors are true (and I have no reason to doubt them), add the Texans to that list, too. Everyone's looking for the next Gruden or Reid, but I'd be willing to bet at least a couple of the teams listed above will find out they've ended up with the next Mornhinweg or Gilbride instead. If Sherman and Jauron are their top two choices, RCW and Marv would seem to be thinking that some previous HC experience is a GOOD thing. (Either that, or they know they can't 'sell' the idea of hiring a third consecutive novice HC.) Thoughts?
  18. If true, that would certainly explain the deepwater ponds right in front of Lot 1 Pole 5...
  19. The Bills Alumni association still exists. Last I knew, Lou Piccone was the president.
  20. Since he didn't give dates, though, I'm not sure precisely which stretch of Patriots suckitude my buddy BART was referring to. If it's pre-Kraft, he may well be correct. While the sellout streak does indeed go back to the 1994 regular-season opener, shortly before that - during the 1991 season, to be exact - the Patriots season-ticket total stood at 17,635. Bills have come close to that number a couple of times since Rich Stadium opened (sub-20K in 1978, 1984-85), but the last time they sold fewer than 18,000 seasons was... lessee.... 1963.
  21. On the other hand, Lofton may view it as a step towards getting a coordinator's job.
