  1. Contrast that with Buffalo's line: once they officially gave up on Mike Williams, third-rounder Mike Gandy took over as the highest-drafted Bills o-line starter. CV was a #5, Teague a #7, and Anderson/Peters were both UDFA...
  2. Wonder what round those guys were drafted? Pittsburgh OL: LT #2, RT #3, both guards and C = #1 picks. Seattle: RT #3, RG #5, C UDFA, LG and LT #1 picks. Ten Super Bowl OL starters, and half of them were first-round picks. Hmmm... you could be onto something.
  3. Wonder how different Jauron's tenure in Chi-town would've been if Crowton hadn't left for the BYU job? Dunno if his pass-happiness would work well in our weather, though. Palmer? eek.
  4. That says more about Dayton than the old West, IMHO. Last time I drove through there after dark, we stopped for gas/ice at one of the I-70 exits. The clerk at the convenience store wouldn't even unlock the front door - had to use a card to pay for the gas, and they have a bank-drive-up-window-type drawer to send merchandise outside. Needless to say, I've never seen a setup like that anywhere near Buffalo/NW Pennsyltucky...
  5. Don't forget the Polian-Levy dynamic. The answer might just be yes for Buffalo, no for anyone else asking, especially if BP knows Tom Moore will stick around for a while yet...
  6. Damn, Glenn, you just figured out Tom Donahoe's entire five-year plan!
  7. I'm guessing Kenny Z. is son of Ernie? Checking... Yup.
  8. Game, set, match. And it's been that way since Jim Kelly's last season. The only two possible exceptions were DF (fast enough to run away) and Bledsoe (too tough to break, despite the pounding he took).
  9. Wondered what happened to those "BILLIEVE" shirts from the end of last season...
  10. Right on. $3.2 mill each of the next TWO seasons, and he loves living in Wisconsin. No friggin' way he takes an OC job elsewhere. Course, that's just my opinion... I could be wrong...
  11. I seem to remember The Dean starting a "Suppress them! Suppress them! Make them relinquish the ball!" chant at the Titans game a few years back... As always, years ahead of his time...
  12. Nice. So in the last two offseasons - with a 5-11 season sandwiched in between - my tix will have risen from $780 to $940. That Rockpile section is starting to sound pretty good...
  13. I prefer Mount Washington, myself. And I don't give a flying fig HOW old he is - anyone remember what Buffalo's inside running game looked like in the game against Oakland? Here's a couple of hints... 1-10-BUF 18 (14:56) 21-W.McGahee right tackle to BUF 20 for 2 yards (92-T.Washington, 52-K.Morrison). 1-10-OAK 30 (10:40) 21-W.McGahee right end to OAK 29 for 1 yard (92-T.Washington, 52-K.Morrison). 1-10-OAK 40 (11:32) 21-W.McGahee up the middle to OAK 38 for 2 yards (92-T.Washington). 3-2-OAK 2 (7:20) 21-W.McGahee up the middle to OAK 1 for 1 yard (92-T.Washington). *NOTE: this was the play right before the 4th-and-goal Shelton dive... 23-84 yards overall, and 14 of those yards came on a 3rd-and-28 draw play to Shaud Williams.
  14. Three times. "The Drive" and "The Fumble" games with Cleveland, and the '93 game Joe Montana didn't finish.
  15. Some of it's due to the product on the field, no doubt, but don't forget the renovation wiped out about 7000 seats...
  16. Wonder if Lange has any info to back that up, or is just perusing a list of the leftover job openings...
  17. Not according to most of the Packers fans who visited us last week. There were mixed opinions on his coaching ability, but everyone pretty much agreed he was a crappy GM.
  18. FWIW, I think I heard Sherman had no interest in OC jobs; he'd rather take a year off (with pay) instead, maybe even do some broadcasting... Believe that was from Adam Schefter, on last night's Total Access.
  19. The coaching staff, or the front office? Time for the player personnel department to earn their keep.
  20. You turkeys are part of the reason my VZW (with MobileWeb) bill went up $20 this month. You know how long it takes to scroll through all that on a cellphone? Thanks a lot.
  21. Yup. If I actually worried about such things (instead of just blathering about them on a message board), I'd be far more concerned about the roster than about the coaching staff right now...
  22. Getting closer, or so the rumor goes. Wouldn't hurt to keep bugging them about it: http://www.wgr550.com/contact/email.php?id=07
  23. Ditto.. and amen to your second thought...
