  1. The one against the Saints last season? We were sitting in the front row of the upper deck in that end zone. When he went down at the 3, I considered jumping.
  2. Word. One of the best KRs in league history, in fact - only 18 players have returned as many as four kickoffs for TDs. (The record is six.) Gale Sayers holds the league record for KR average (minimum of 75 attempts) at 30.56 yds/return, followed by Lynn Chadnois (Steelers 1950-56, 29.57 yds/return) and Abe Woodson (San Fran/St. Louis 1958-66, 28.69 yds/return). After 106 attempts, McGee's career average is 27.56 yds/return. To compare, Dante Hall's career average is a pedestrian 24.2 yds/return. Five-time Pro Bowl KR Michael Bates? 24.5. Super Bowl XXXI MVP Desmond Howard? Deion Sanders? Neither of them crack 23.0. Bills KR touchdowns since 1999: McGee 4, everyone else 1 (Charlie Rogers vs. Minnesota, 2002). He's an improving, good-but-not-quite-great CB... but he can change the game at KR.
  3. "Crayonz": Well played. Bravo.
  4. Doubtful. Pulled over for erratic driving, failed field sobriety test, open container in the car. It happened in Texas, and it looks like you need to rack up three DWIs to upgrade to a felony there. (Haven't read anything about any prior record for Watson.) But DolFelons jst seems to fit so well...
  5. Isn't Cecil the Diesel still in jail?
  6. Briere's the master of the last-second pass; he fried Esche twice with that in game 5. Agree about Emery in game 2, although Chara wasn't much help on the Dumont goal, either. But when Hecht stormed in on the breakaway, you just KNEW the puck was going to end up in the back of the net...
  7. I don't know about devoting a whole board to NASCAR, but another board I lurk at has running threads for several topics - NBA and NHL playoffs, different TV shows (like the 24 and 'Lost' threads here), books people are reading, etc. Why not try that for the next race, and see what the response is like?
  8. 8 seasons, 6 starts, 62 total games, according to the 1993 media guide (stats through 1992 regular season). Reich celebrated his 31st birthday a month before the Houston game. Whether he turns out to be the next Kelly or the next Leaf -- or as is far more likely, somewhere in between -- I'm not interested in waiting that long for Losman.
  9. What they said. If TC hadn't gone low, it still would've been a Carubba Collision... but one Connolly probably would've skated away from.
  10. From the sounds of Chris Brown's wrapup, I think you nailed it:
  11. Gotta disagree here: The year before Cowart was drafted, the Bills were forced to switch to a 4-3 base defense when both starting ILBs (Chris Spielman and Damien Covington) were lost to season-ending injuries. Then, Bryce Paup and Mark Maddox left via free agency. So on draft day 1998, the Bills' top options at ILB were the still-rehabbing Spielman, oft-injured John Holecek, and special-teams guy Marlo Perry. Count me as one who absolutely loved the Cowart selection... but even with him on the team, Wade had to scrap his beloved 3-4 set until he thought Cowart was ready to start.
  12. I'd take each of those top three on my team any day. If only Butler could have stayed healthy... As for Moulds, it would have been fun to see what he could do as part of a really good team. But for my money, one of the most dominating performances I've ever seen from a Bills receiver -- heck, from ANY receiver -- happened in the Houston "Comeback" game. With Kelly and Thurman on the sideline and 32 points in the hole, 'Dre almost singlehandedly took the game over. Most people remember that game because of Frank Reich, or Steve Christie's game-winner in OT. But go back and watch some of the catches by #83; if he drops any of those balls, Buffalo probably doesn't win the game. While I'm here, one minor correction from earlier in the thread: Not quite. Raymond Berry, Lance Alworth, Paul Warfield, and Steve Largent are the only modern-era (post-World War II) WRs to earn first-ballot enshrinement in the Hall of Fame. (Obviously, Jerry Rice will join them in August 2010.) Lofton was elected in 2003, in his fifth year of eligibility and his third year as a finalist.
  13. Not when your brand-new coaching staff is trying to install a brand-new offense. For the record, I had the same reaction when Travis skipped one of Mularkey's first minicamps two years ago. As with Henry, I'm not worried about McGahee showing up for training camp out of shape -- that's never been a problem with either player. But I'd rather not see WMcG wait until training camp to start getting some reps in Fairchild's offense, either. JMO. And for future reference: calling someone a dumbass (or other 'colorful metaphor'), merely because he or she happens to disagree with your opinion, is frowned upon by the TSW moderating staff. Thanks, and have a nice day.
  14. Thanks for the update, MileHigh, but would you mind providing a source/link back to the original site? Copyright laws, and all... Thanks.
  15. ...and if you want to listen to Jeanneret's call of the winner (and I know you do), here's the WGR page you can find it on: Instant Classic: Sabres Win Wild Game One In OT
  16. Last team with the puck wins.
  17. Wonder how the Titans would feel about that? Sounds like tampering to me.
  18. Time to update this. The current Bills list, from Ozy's DraftDaddy.com AFC link: DE Matthew Rice, Penn State S Steve Paris, Iowa State LB John DiGiorgio, Saginaw Valley WR Martin Nance, Miami (Ohio) FB Derrick Ming, Missouri DE Jason Hall, Tennessee DE Ryan Neill, Rutgers Other reference sources: DraftDaddy - NFC teams KFFL - Hot Off The Wire
  19. From Youboty's bio on the NFL media website: Perhaps you were unaware of his background, although moving here at such a young age probably would've taken care of the accent.
  20. Update on this: This weekend's minicamp will NOT be open to the public. Media coverage: in-season rules apply for photogs, so don't expect to see video of anything but stretching/individual drills (unless buffalobills.com puts up some of their own).
  21. Fug 'em. They can't have him.
  22. Stadium Wall tradition. Beware of "harmless errors".
  23. As of right now, the WGR schedule is showing MSG for all games except 1 and 4. Not sure why those two would be excluded...
  24. Snakes? On a plane? Never heard of such a thing.
