  1. Question for those who would have preferred DRC, then: did the kidney issues scare them off? Good Lord, the Lions actually drafted a tackle. Maybe Millen finally gets it.
  2. He's posting. That means he didn't throw the computer out the window. That's better than I expected. Here, I'll prescribe some painkillers:
  3. Adarius Bowman, Oklahoma State (6-4, 220): 3 catches - 30 yards; McKelvin caused a fumble and drew two holding penalties. Bowman's 30 yard were the most any WR gained against McKelvin in 2007. Andre Caldwell, Florida (6-0, 198): 1 catch - 8 yards. McKelvin also caused a fumble that he recovered to set up a Troy FG.
  4. This is true. So what's your point? [/egger]
  5. We need a head-exploding smiley. S'pose this will have to do for now. Deep breaths, Bill. Serenity now...
  6. Didn't know if you wanted the long bio in this thread, Scott, but aight. McKelvin sounds like a playmaker, and I'm all right with that, too, even if I was in the trade-down camp.
  7. "Falling"? To #6? All righty then...
  8. Don't know about "craziest," but certainly the life of the party, home or away. Tailgated with him in several cities now, but the Riverwalk in San Antonio (Saints '05) was still the best -- we couldn't walk 10 feet without someone recognizing him...
  9. Tasker is on the Wall, but as far as I know, 12, 32, 34, and 78 are the only numbers they will no longer give out. (Kelly's is the only one officially retired, but I'm guessing that may change this year.) I'll be interested to see what they do with #85, since the Jets unofficially retired Dennis Byrd's #90.
  10. Would it ease your mind to learn that the Bills have never lost a game played in the state of Arizona?
  11. Love, love, LOVE the SI Vault, and Scott Price is one of the best writers they've got right now. Nov. 13, 2006: The Gospel According To Ray Dec. 4, 2006: Letters
  12. So, let's see. Campbell, Brown, Grier, Briere, Biron, and Drury all in the next round. Did I miss anyone?
  13. They must have missed Antonio Langham, then? Browns went S, RB, C, CB, WR, LB with Belichick's six #1s (two in 1994). P.S.: Never say NEVER...
  14. Ya don't say. Yes, they drafted Tony Hunter with their own pick, then used Cleveland's #1 on Kelly. Thanks, Mr. Modell!
  15. So did Patulski -- he blew out his knee the year after Buffalo traded him. Injuries apparently weren't taken into account.
  16. Saban was there, but spent part of January in the hospital. Didn't matter. Patulski, the reigning Lombardi Award winner, was the obvious choice for a team that had given up a franchise-record 394 points in 1971.
  17. My team isn't on there. Bummer...
  18. That 12-sack beatdown the Giants administered last season showed exactly where Philly's focus should be: finding an adequate LT to succeed William (formerly Tra) Thomas. Winston Justice certainly wasn't the answer, and Thomas will turn 34 during the season...
  19. Four times since the NFL and AFL merged their drafts in 1967. 1969: O.J. Simpson 1972: Walt Patulski 1979: Tom Cousineau 1985: Bruce Smith
  20. Yeah, but at least the Cousineau trade brought Buffalo the pick they used on Jim Kelly...
