  1. Sheeeeeit. From the V-coach: "Jauron said he doesn't anticipate Bowen playing in 08."
  2. Loved the Riverwalk, but was seriously unimpressed with both the Alamodome and some of the silly tailgating restrictions in the lots surrounding it when we were out there for the Saints game. I agree, a new stadium would be required.
  3. Sounds about right. In fact, the entire Packers team is now 0-5 at RWS, updating my preview for the 2006 game.
  4. Why not? Favre's never won a regular-season game at the Ralph.
  5. I'm willing to bet there won't be a single team in the league with all 80 players practicing tomorrow. In other words, this is NOT a sign of the Apocalypse ...
  6. Jeff Garcia last played a full 16-game season in 2002. Why do you think Favre wants to stay within the division? For the same reason Ted Thompson will do everything he can to get No. 4 out of it.
  7. Heh. Sounds like Tahou's. When I told a friend -- who attended U of R and has told innumerable tales of drunken late-night garbage-plate sorties -- that we were going there for lunch, he shook his head in disbelief and said. "That's really not a good idea."
  8. More so than the fan mutiny they'll be dealing with if they trade him within the division? And far as I know, he doesn't have a trade-approval clause in his contract. Nope, the way I see it, they'd be better off letting him show up, then dealing from a position of strength once someone else's QB goes down. Like Garcia, whose head coach happens to be an old Green Bay assistant ...
  9. And you should. Let's face it -- lots of people can chart a game (or practice). But if you provide additional insight that people find interesting and/or useful, you're a step ahead.
  10. Both NFC North teams. Sounds like he'll be waiting for a while, then.
  11. For me, that just means all the work with none of the (tailgating) fun ...
  12. Valid points all around, although I'd certainly rather watch the team with him than without him. God, I hope you're wrong about the holdout setting him up for potential injury, but I agree -- it happens too often to be mere coincidence. Hard to imagine we still have a month until the first home game ...
  13. Yup. That would have been the epitome of awesomeness. And "opening up" China by giving them the Games has worked out SO well, no?
  14. Yeah, but they all suck. (Apologies to Brian Griese fans, if there are any of you out there ... )
  15. Think you covered it pretty well. Instead of going to the main entrance (which involves stairs), PG, you can get in the gate close to the bus stops. If the team is in the stadium, there's HP seating in the front of the stands. Over on the grass fields, they'll let people on wheels park right next to the fence. You'd definitely want to take the chair with you, though -- it would be quite a walk with canes. Here's a map of the site: http://assets.buffalobills.com/uploads/CampMap.pdf
  16. You city folk. A black bear was recently spotted ON MY DECK, taking a drink from the swimming pool. Mmmm, Baquacil. Hope the f^$&er ended up with a tummyache.
  17. Things could get interesting ... Jeff Garcia was carted off the field in Tampa this morning.
  18. Or, if someone has a problem with a post or thread, they could just hit "report" to let us know about it in case we happen to be busy elsewhere. Far more effective than waiting for someone to read a random thread. But yeah, I agree that there are probably enough Peters threads to contain whatever thoughts someone chooses to express ...
  19. Don't forget to put in your request for permission to protest at least five days in advance, and please include your current home address. That ain't the half of it, either. No live interviews from Tienanmen Square, and they're censoring the Internets in the media center. And a guy I know had his hotel room tossed -- twice -- while he was working on a story over there. Message to Jerry Sullivan, who will be covering the Olympics for the Buffalo News: safe travels, and watch your back.
  20. Why was the bank's decision stupid? Hey, they got a cool house out of the deal. Now, if they have a problem selling it, that's another thing ...
  21. Thanks for the response -- I started putting together the broadcast info for the Washington game tonight, so I'll need to know that. Could lead to some brutal travel if UB and the Bills are on the road the same weekend; more power to PP if he's figured out how to do it. I wondered how Howard managed, and he didn't have to worry about traveling with the Bills. Good stuff about shooting at clouds. I needed the laugh. (Of course, our government has tried variations on the same theme; Google "Operation Popeye" ...)
