  1. I'm guessing you're not fluent in gibberish?
  2. ... which is why they've sold the second-most season tickets in franchise history this year ...
  3. Regarding Hardy: for every Marques Colston, there are a dozen wide receivers -- including some first-round picks -- who don't make an impact in their rookie year. At this point, if Hardy can win some jump balls and get teams to stop doubling Evans on every play, anything else is a bonus.
  4. Against a veteran, and good, O-line. Makes a difference, no? (At least I hope that's the reason ... )
  5. True dat. Bobby Shaw was no rookie when Bledsoe hit him in the back with a pass. Think he was off the team the next day.
  6. Really? I just logged in without any problem.
  7. Schouman (No. 80), but I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. Yeah, Marcus Washington (No. 53) didn't let him get out of his break. Tasker emphatically pointed it out. Hardy was supposed to be there. Lesson learned, hopefully.
  8. Who's calling Chadwick the second coming of No. 19 in hightops? John Beck. Chad Henne. Josh McCown. Seriously? Pennington became the Dolphins' best quarterback the instant he autographed his contract. Doesn't mean he'll make people forget about Marino.
  9. Are both teams better than they were Wednesday morning? Yes. Does that mean they've caught (or even passed) Buffalo? Debatable. Let's see how both quarterbacks like seeing Stroud across the line from them, with an improved linebacking corps behind him and some actual depth in the secondary.
  10. Dammit, that'll teach me to go messing around with stuff. I don't think there's anything I can do to fix it from here, either ... Sorry, Scott.
  11. Hmm. That piece sounds strangely familiar. I like the look. Feedback is always welcome, of course, and I do have a question for the board: Should the format stay as-is, with all the broadcast info and last-meeting capsule at the top, or would you rather read the actual preview first? I'd thought about spinning the radio/TV stuff off into a sidebar, but after seeing the finished product, I think that would make a mess of the page. Since there's not much point to predicting the outcome of preseason games, I'll stick with the "Players To Watch" motif before switching back for the regular-season opener. I also figured I'd add a link back to this thread in case anyone wanted to chime in after reading, but that seems to have made the entire story disappear. Uh-oh. Sorry about that, chief ...
  12. On second thought ... no comment. P.S.: Steve, make some room in your PM inbox, willya? Thanks ...
  13. Nope. I've got him at 3-5, including a sweep last season. You're right about him being an improvement over their current QBs, though, and how sad is that? (Answer: not at all, if you're a Bills fan ... )
  14. Maybe it's a Vista thing, then. Remember, my IE was doing the same thing to those dropdown menus. Hmmm ...
  15. You're running your Windows on a Mac, though, correct? Could that be the reason? My setup: Vista Home Premium (SP1), FF 3.0.1. And since I'm mostly using this machine as a word-processor these days, I haven't done much playing around with the settings on Vista ...
  16. Working for me, boss, and that's what I run. Superb.
  17. Run over? Taken to lunch? Comparing a two-time Bednarik Award winner to COY WIRE ?!? And you wonder why I'm "antagonistic"? Fight on, State.
  18. This the same Chadly who was still dinking-and-dunking down the field in the final minute of last year's game at the Ralph, because he couldn't throw anything deep? And then, when time was running out on that plan -- as everyone in the stadium knew it would -- he was forced to float an easy INT to McGee? Thanks, but no thanks.
  19. If the Pro Bowl LT shows up, and if the second-year QB and second-year RB and rookie WR turn out to be studs, and if the D isn't whacked by the injury bug, then yeah, this could be a playoff team. Depends on how many ifs you want to bet on, I suppose. And although this is stating the obvious, "playoff team" doesn't necessarily equal conference and/or Super Bowl champ.
  20. You do? Which PSU-OSU game was that? 2005, University Park: Posluszny made 14 tackles with two tackles for losses in a 17-10 win over Ohio State and had a huge sack on OSU's next-to-last possession. 2006, Columbus: 28-6 Ohio State, courtesy of a long TD pass by Troy Smith and two Anthony Morelli pick-sixes. PSU outrushed OSU, 142-138. So which game were you talking about again?
